- Most common engine problem with the 2022 BMW S1000RR is blown ignition coils. Finally got the bike back after a failed ignition coil during a fast and furious freeway dash. Check out my first ride home on the S1000rr after repairs.

Has there been a crackdown in fast riding such as this in Texas? I saw a video where cops got a bunch of bikers at a Kwik Trip or something. Any clarification?
Not sure bro. Maybe someone else knows. That whole arrest was within days of a bad moto accident on the same road. Pretty bad timing to be racing.

Just barely noticed your beamer was a M whats the difference between the regular S1K?
Broooo. Yes. 😎. Depends on the year but for 2022 it includes the M seat, lap timer and color scheme. On the 2023 it comes with upgraded rear sets, velocity stacks and more.
how's the comfort of riding this bike for semi-long distance, such as what you are doing on the highway? If you are 6'2" tall, is it comfortable without back or knee pains? Lastly, at the speeds you were going, how was the wind against your helmet?
There are better bike classes for long distance but not a lot of sport bikes compete with the S1000RR on comfort. You also get long distance features like cruise control and heated grips. Most I’ve gone is probably 400 in a day. As for your height I would stick a double bubble windscreen on it and get any sort of racing helmet bc those two things make a huge difference on straights and also surprisingly in corners.
