Bro when my power steering went out on my truck with 35x13.5s, I would try my best not to stop if I had to turn.
My grandpa had a 41 Chevy coupe that had no power steering or breaks and I drove it for 4 hours straight the day before he sold it. It was amazing.

â@@conman303 my 97 k3500s master cylinder stays engaged and it's got hydro boost so it will stop on its own. It also won't rev high if I hit the pedal hard. If I gently apply throttle, it'll rev high, but if I try to whack it quick, it just fucking dies. As soon as I let off the pedal, it goes right back to normal, so it has plenty of issues. It's a 6.0l vortec swap, so if you know what could potentially be causing that issue, I would love to know.

@@conman303 if it is, it ain't showing up on the dash. I don't think it's the issue though, it still shifts just fine. I'm saying that, even when I'm in park or neutral and rev the motor, it does it. I can't tell if it's bad ignition coils or plugs or plug wires, if its the tps (it's a weird Jerry rigged setup with a MAF sensor, a MAP sensor, a drive by wire throttle body, and a throttle position sensor.) or if it's fueling related. I have an inline pump feeding it, so fuel shouldn't be an issue. If I gently press on the pedal, it will rev all the way to its maximum. If I try and hit it hard, it starts to reacte but then it just shuts down until I let the pedal back out. It is a really, really weird issue.

my mother drove honkin heavy cars from the 40s and 50s with no power anything. the sheet metal on those things was as thick as a key. and my 4 foot tall mother managed just fine.
Before vacuum boosted brakes and power steering there was leverage and gear reduction power multipliers in the design of the systems. Steering had a rack and pinion or worm gear input of a lot of steering wheel turning to output amount of the rack and brakes were a basic foot travel leverage in proportion to master cylinder plunger movement and possible quick pump first followed by steady pressure and release then repeat. Older mechanical brakes just had leverage, originally was hand brake lever like a locomotive.

I got LS7 with twin 44DL at 21 psi. Sometimes 23. Making 870 to the wheel. It doesnât know how to turn.
Increase your ratio from master to calipers. Bigger, or more area on caliper side will create more brake pressure. Could even use a small input area maste and add length to your lever/pedel and increse input pressure as well as creating a bigger ratio. It helps, alot.
My first car was a 91 lexus ls400, no power breaks, no power steering, bought it for 4 quarters. Loved that car for the 3 months I owned it before a drunk driver decided to t-bone it...
