    In Australia we have the 655cc MT07 Lams (learner approved motorcycle scheme) version but we do also have the MT07HO which is the 689cc version, the same as everywhere else. The Lams bikes (for people who have only just gotten their licence) can't be over 660cc and have a maximum power to weight ratio allowed too. From memory, the 655cc engine is just sleeved down by 3mm, the actual engine case is the same

      @Drive315  Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks for watching and subscribe, the lams version must suck compared to the real thing. Here in America the MT07 is a very fast bike, and the MT09 is even faster (and anyone with a motorcycle license can ride it

      @@Drive315 I've not ridden one but from reports they are definitely much slower but not horrible. They are one of the fastest Lams bikes out there because the restriction only really affects the top end. They still have plenty of low end power. Overall speed it's more comparable to a ninja 400 or cbr500 (although a bit faster than both of them). Other companies also do restricted versions of their bikes (but don't reduce the size), such as the Honda cb650 and Kawasaki Z6. I think even Bmw and Triumph do restricted versions of some of their bikes.

    Good vids homie... I been thinking about getting a 2016 fz07.. have one down here (s.Florida) for sale for $5200 with 7k miles... had to do some research and came here... good job new sub!!

      Thanks for watching and subscribe! I have TONSS of videos with the FZ and my Grom. $5200 seems kinda pricy since I paid $4300 for mine (thats nicely modded too). Still a great bike but if you knock that price down to 4500 then definitely do it!

      @@Drive315 thanks homie... yea I’m going to see if they will knock the price down... south Florida seems so much more expensive than the rest of the country with motorcycles..

    It's not the MT07 model that has 655cc or something. I think it's on a couple of countries in Europe that it's restricted with lams as well. Here in greece. Its 689cc and it makes 75hp.

    I believe the 2nd gen and maybe the new 3rd gen did away with the rubber bushings. My bars feel a lot more solid mounted at the expense of getting tingly hands after a long ride.

    Hey bro. I think I'm almost about to buy a black MT-07/FZ07 just like yours. Three questions:
    1. How do you find the brakes?
    2. When on the highway, do you find the front end light or 'squirrelly'?
    3. Do you find the handlbar flexes? Apparently there are rubber washers which flex a bit and makes it feel as it the handlebar is gong to fall off...

    • @Drive315
      @Drive315  Před rokem +1

      Thanks for watching and subscribe! I never needed to replace the brakes, the front end does get squirrelly, and the handlebar does have rubber washers that give a little , but just tighten everything down should be totally fine… as long as you dont go over 80mph should be pretty stable. Having new tires might help with feeling more planted

      @@Drive315 Thanks, man! Appreciate your perspective on it.
      I've put the deposit on the bike - it's a 2014 Black-purple MT-07 with about 30K miles on it. Comes with an Akraprovic exhaust plus stock pipe. I'm planning on putting some frame sliders on and maybe the ones for the rims? Picking it up in the next few days!

    • @lunoirxx
      @lunoirxx Před rokem +1

      Get a 2nd gen if you can. The suspension was improved and I believe they did away with the rubber bushings or just improved them so they didn't feel so sloppy. The brakes have decent stopping power but not alot of feel/feedback. And I've ridden mine at it's top speed to keep up with my buddies on faster bikes and it doesn't feel too unstable. I cruise at 80 mph on the highway often with no problems. If the front end does start to feel floaty at high speed, I wouldn't worry too much and just grip the tank more and lighten your grip on the bars so you don't upset the bike.
