If you fly RC planes, multirotors or drones, this device is a veritable Swiss Army Knife of functionality that rolls the functions of charger, servo-tester, receiver tester, watt-meter and more, all into a compact little unit that will fit in the palm of your hand (or your backpack).
Pros:
- 400W of charging power (18A, 400W 1-8S)
- well made, solid construction
- compact
- versatile (does almost everything)
- PWM, PPM and SBUS device testing
Cons:
- knob on rotary encoder could be better
- only a 15W discharge ability
- power/wattmeter function limited to 15A or 300W

A 5 minute review in 4 minutes and 3 seconds... yep that will work.
I blame everyone but me.
In New Zealand they go by Metric minutes.
You can dump charge fast by putting it in power supply mode and run it into a halogen bulb or three.
I've been short-changed by 1 minute
Helpful review as always thank you
I like 5 minutes review format
If the scroll wheel is a problem just get a diveted one 3D printed, easy peasy.
Hope they fixed the scroll wheel, I have the first version, and it jumps all over the place. Think I'll go check out your full review. Thanks for the "quickie ", Bruce !!
Update software and set it to less response.
One thing missing. Capacity Testing. Discharge via a Load and Measure mAh and Watts.
Hold on... if its got a watt-meter function then it prob does hav mAh and Wh right?
@@cottsak If you can measure the Watt's or Wh while dumping the battery load your on it. Guess you could putting the meter in line . I would think it could if you can Balance via outside load. They don't mention it.
Link above says its a 300W charger?
HobbyPorter is wholesale only.
I wonder if it can do the 400W with 12v input... My 250w 4 button charger can't hit the max output unless I supply over 18v on the input
Given that those chargers are usually just fancy buck converters, they can only charge up to the voltage you supply. For 12 Volt in that means your output power will be around 200 Watts.
👍👍
Can yours charge small batteries? On my one, the voltage just shoots up very fast and then it thinks it's finished charging. I have to use an older charger to charge my small LiPos.
This looks so useful! How much is it?

oh hey. that's WAY better than that 30+ mins thingy!
About 2.:25......."charge on the fly"........ Bruce I don't even think you realized you made that pun. Forshame, puns should never be unintentional.
Good quickie review but maths a little bit off at around 4 minutes. 8 times the power (YES). 6 times the current (NO). 6 amps against 18 amps is 3 times the current.
First 😀
Do not buy the product from Bangood. I asked for a replacement with ISDT in about 1 hour after purchasing the product. They created a notification. I realized that it would take time and I wanted the order to be canceled. They did not cancel. I warned that the product could be sent until the notification was processed. Don't worry, they said they'll get back to you. they said. And today they say the product has been sent. They said that I can no longer exchange or refund .. Naturally, I think it was done on purpose. They forcibly sold the product. Bangood is no longer honest and reliable. There are many complaints already. They started to defraud the man.
