      Thanks Steve!!
      I’ve been using the m8 out in the field to charge batts with the car battery with a cable that has alligator clips and xt60 on the other end and use it every single time I bind a receiver. It is so convenient to use. It’s nice to have the bigger screen and more power but the old m8 still rocks :)

      @@RCEscapeand because of that I need answer from user . Most charger I use can only do 20W at discharge/measure capacity. Can this unit use 400W at discharge etc 12V car battery, you know to fast measure car battery capacity ?

    Hi Pete, thanks for doing this in-depth review - I finally received my M6 today :). Can you clarify something about the discharge/storage charge recycle function please.. @11.52 it shows discharge to 3.6v / cell. Is this on the 'output' lipo ie the one that needs depleting? Is the 'input limit' the max voltage that the receiving lipo connected to the input connector can handle? TIA

    • @RCEscape
      @RCEscape  Před 4 lety

      yes correct. you can change the value of the output depleting batt and the input batt getting the recycled charge.

      Hi Matt, if you have access to AC power source, there is an adapter that is powerful and reliable.

    • @RCEscape

    • @charlschuck6
      @charlschuck6 Před 3 lety

      @@ChaddyFPV great question hmm have you tried it ? I have another smart charger almost the same feature but I noticed since the Input has to be greater in amperage than the output charging amperage that solar panel will have to have constant sun In other words it didn’t work for more than 500mah to max 1amp charge but since that solar amperage is not constant the charger will alert you and stop charging so it practically isn’t useful unless you have a solar controller in between with a big battery to store that energy . Yes it’s possible but you won’t be able with out a battery fully charged on the solar system . It’s best to have an Ac adaptor power supply or just use another stronger battery

      @@RCEscape I tested this and I’ll power the unit but hey remember logic in this test , as sun isn’t always bright and sometimes we get cloud shades so short answer is yes but I test and it wasn’t good , the most of a 100w solar panel I got was 500mah to 1amp max charge and had full sun , you will always need that pwm solar controller in between with a battery to store all that energy and then connect your load connections to your battery smart charger ( the one here ) that way you do have a constant charge and this way charge won’t stop when there is no sun or becomes cloudy , I did the test heheh it was a fail so it’s best to connect it on the load port or dirrectly to a lead acid battery and juice up your m8 charger from there :)
