The U.S. military is facing a recruitment crisis, and they're pointing their fingers squarely at GenZ. So the U.S. military is now venturing into the world of Tiktok and Discord to target younger Americans and boost military recruitment numbers. Has it helped? Palki Sharma tells you. It’s part of a $4 billion effort to help increase the numbers.

There is no Freedom or Democracy! It is all an illusion and people are beginning to see it for what it is. Any president who dares to work for the interest of the people will be JFKed

Palki forgot to mention a few things here.
1 is that veterans are treated like garbage and left over to be suffered and die. Most of veterans are homeless with overuse of drug and cocaines.
    2. Many veterans have traumas from war and certain other problems like exposure to burned pits which cause severe damage to the lungs and till this day it takes years for many veterans to even qualify for their medical care.
    3. Most veterans don’t recommend or rather encourage youth not to join the military as they knew that they were sent to countries to protect the interests of the elites like oil and gas. After seeing the utter failures of Iraq and Afghanistan in particular many question why join the military? Most of the time it never serves the interests of the people of America. A republican candidate quoted” American soldiers are overseas protecting borders of foreign countries but there aren’t even a soldier to protect its own borders”.

Well thats because those that went before me were patriots. Like you have to think outside the box, there are some countries that would love to wipe the U.S. off the face of the earth, but thanks to the ones that chose to raise their hands and risk their lives just for you to live yours like me, For me I didn't raise my hand because I want to protect the government but for the experience of a once of a lifetime and maybe become apart of history too. Also it had more benefits than not, if you really think about it, College degree is just a paper that says you went to school some more, but that doesn't mean you have experience, much less you could be going against so many more that have the exact same degree as you. Though the military can leave you with battle scars and trauma, in the long run, you build up the trade skills and certifications. You could do your whole 20 years and own atleast 3+ Properties depending on where you are stationed. I had a Chief (E7) who joined the military with nothing fresh out of high school and about 19 years in he had about 4+ properties because of moving commands. There are tons of military programs that the military offers. Its just some people have terrible spending habits and use their whole paycheck the same day they receive it.

@@lillysummer3546 A nation's safety comes first. A soldier, whether American or Indian, joins the military because they are committed to defending the nation's safety with their lives. Unfortunately, the US has a history of starting/entering wars where the main interest is not the defense of the country but rather the greed of the corporations, and this quickly becomes very apparent to the soldiers on the ground. Moreover, these vets are still being mistreated/not being cared for enough despite the American military having the biggest budget on the planet at least ten times over. Fortunately, the Indian army has only ever fought for the defense of the nation. It may not be the most funded or equipped, but it certainly is the most principled and clear in its mission to defend the motherland. Regarding your point of action against anti-Indian elements, I completely agree with you on that. More stringent steps need to be taken against them without delay.

The government waged war for 20 years in the Global War on Terror, and left Afghanistan more heavily armed then when we went in, and departed in a disgraceful manner. Why did we invade an entire country to dismantle one terrorist organization, the leader of which turned out to be in Pakistan? The government will never give us a satisfactory answer about that or why faulty intelligence was used as the justification for the invasion of Iraq, the leaders never pay for their lies, though the average people pay in blood and money, while they enrich themselves. Also, I am surprised it wasn’t a 100k. I joined the navy because I had nothing and came from nothing. I had no opportunities but I had a strong back and big dreams and I was willing to sacrifice everything for a shot at a better life. If kids today are not that desperate. They won’t join. Yup. Wanna know where a lot of the money that should be going to veterans go ? To drug addicts. They get free healthcare, foodstamps, free detox treatment, free methadone clinic, clothing vouchers, shelter, free paraphernalia, free condoms. Well it's free for the addict but the tax payer has to fund that. And the tax payers need to be made aware of this because their isn't enough money for both. Are junkies worth more than our veterans and future heroes ?
Then we have a bunch of murderers, rapists and big time drug traffickers doing life in maximum security. Do they work to maintain themselves ? Do their families and friends outside pay for their maintenance ? Or are they as well funded by tax payers ? If so there goes more millions if not billions that could go to the veterans as well as increasing active duty wages to encourage more recruits.

Because they’re talking out their asses that’s why. It’s what academics do.

So to reiterate. The cohorts are as follows:
      GIs. 1910-1927
      Silents. 1928-1945
      Boomers. 1946-1963

The reason why our generation isn’t enlisting as much is because our parents (millennials/gen x) didn’t bring it up to us as kids or made it a big deal because they didn’t have to fight in a war either. Vietnam was 50 years ago and many were pissed at those who fought in it. Ever since then, people have been against it, even before GEN Z. The way vets are treated is sickening. My teacher is a war vet and is suffering from cancer and has to pay for health care. Another reason why no one is enlisting is because of nuclear weapons. We are so advanced if a new world war happens, it will be fought with nuclear missiles. We don’t need a huge military anymore. There is also several guns for every american, making in invasion of this country very difficult.

Fighting with a nuke in war ? Dumb as usual American Gen Z, Kid you need to learn geopolitics, Every other country has a nuke, No one is going to use nuke in this century moreover for USA is the one who inavdes other countries for oil and weapon industry boost

The fact that America has many gun owners is actually a disadvantage for the US… instead of sending troops to capture cities they will simply commit war crimes and flatten every American city in their path with artillery.
They will not view American citizens as innocent civilians but as potential enemies of war

The majority of the comments here appear to originate from individuals outside the United States, yet they frequently employ terminology popularized by U.S. media. It raises the question about the extensive global focus on U.S. affairs. This preoccupation might stem from the recognition of the U.S.'s substantial military capabilities and technological advancements. In times of conflict, it is certain that the countries represented in this discussion would either rely on U.S. military support and technology or seek its intervention for assistance.

Into days day and age there aren't any wars US fighting which is a good thing. Why I believe you should still join at least for one contract, is to help yourself or your kids wity education and benefits in the future. I was infantry weapons squad for 3 years, never deployed, but when I got out I went to college without worrying of taking loans or anything like that. Definitely was worth it.
