It's interesting how this report has been censored in this country. We hardly see any mention of it in the MSM. I tried to insert a link on Guardian comments and I was "redacted". I've frequently tested this newspaper with very restrained comments about Mr Corbyn or about the plight of the Palestinians and the impression I've got is one of strict censorship.

Sadly The Guardian is done, they were implicit in bringing down Corbyn which should tell us all exactly where they stand and what they support, it ain't left leaning politics which is drawn towards socialism. When you have a Labour party that refuses to stand with the unions something is very, very wrong and these reports are just another indication that Labour will not be the saviour of the working class, we will get Starmers version of the same sh!te, it will fall on us to get what is needed, the unions, Mick Lynch and Ed Dempsey have shown the way forward, protest and direct action is the way out of this current mess!

The labour right are extremely powerful within the party bureaucracy. Sadly they have worked their way into the structure and have an iron grip on it. @@fredatlas4396 People are done with that, Fred. There's so much going on that suggests Starmer's Labour wants to be the USA's Democrats, and "vote for me or it's your fault when the others get in" is the icing on that cake. And we see what happens in the USA, when people vote for promises and then how those promises are treated afterwards. Starmer has already showed us what his word is worth.
We can't keep rewarding people who differ from us so much, especially when they show absolute contempt for us and what we believe in. The job of politicians is political representation, and our vote is our only instrument for telling them what we want them to represent. It's not my fault if I don't vote for them and Labour doesn't get in. With the press so much on their side this time, it really is the fault of Starmer's team if they somehow mess up the biggest political open goal of all time.

"We need to be the change that we want to see". Excellent astute comment from your guest. Looking from the outside it seems that Labour has alleged racism where it didn't exist particularly when it involved valid comment on Israel's political policy, because the comments made were in fact 'political' whilst ignoring or not giving due haste of enquiry to real cases of racism as described by your guest. That is no way to run the 'democratic' Labour party. Much as the country needs Labour to win the next election, we do not need it perverted from within by those with alliances hidden from the public eye. All alliances should be open to scrutiny within a democratic party.

With respect, Michael, the way you raised your concerns about several CLP members registered at a single address was missing a good deal of context. I agree that this should be investigated, but that information - held by the Labour Party and protected by GDPR - was part of a dossier compiled ostensibly by a private member of the Labour Party, who had no legal access to this information. The documentary questions this, as well as other examples of data breaches, harassment, and serious safeguarding concerns resulting from this dossier, all of which were brushed under the carpet by the Governance and Legal Unit (eg. data breaches must, by law, be reported to the ICO within 72 hours of coming to light, but the GLU never did this). The author of the dossier literally STALKED Pakistani CLP members and their families, exposing a shocking level of personal details in the process, with the justification that they (the Pakistanis) were "taking over" Newham CLP. This is where the documentary's claim of racism comes from, as well as from the muted disciplinary response of the GLU to the author, in comparison to its sometimes retaliatory and vindictive responses in cases of alleged antisemitism and, increasingly, the exercise of free speech

You guys have a lot to answer for, particularly the complete lack of backbone which comes through in the way various labour members were left out to dry. I think you serve a purpose for people on the left mainly concerned about cultural issues, where the establishment and corporates are not really bothered, but on anything substantive, such as endless wars, Israel-Palestine and true class struggle, you’re too weak. I’m sure you’ll still do fine, as there’s lots of people worried about social justice issues and lesser economic issues, around rent etc that you speak to.
