You had only one mistake Tamar king not queen we all know she was woman but her own father made her king in his life so nobody could kill her as a king and she was first female king in Georgia 🥰🥰( I had a mistake {his} my clipboard

it's still called Queen in English, because unlike Georgian, English has grammatical gender and saying that Tamar was King is like saying Tamar was a man, which she wasn't. Just like you can't say 'he' about Tamar, you can't call her a King
@@Akatosh86 Same goes to Georgian Language, King is male pronoun, however her position as the first woman to rule Georgia in her own right was emphasized by the title mepe ("king") - "Tamar the Great (Georgian: თამარ მეფე)" is not literal translation, Literal is : თამარ მეფე / Tamar the king.
@@Elguja yeah, but people are trying calling her 'King Tamar' in English, not Georgian. In Georgian she is rightfully called თამარ მეფე, but in Russian is Царица Тамар, not Царь Тамар. Same when talking about 'King Tamar', which is incorrect.

I did not see any Georgians in Georgia that actually liked Stalin. Most considered him to be a black mark, even at the Stalin Museum they highlighted the fact he was a monster.
Agreed, about museum... well stalin is history we like or dislike it we shouldnt hide hiatory
How many people actually died during the Soviet repressions during Stalin's rule?
Prior to the dissolution of the Soviet Union and the archival revelations, some historians estimated that the numbers killed by Stalin's regime were 20 million or higher.
However after the Soviet Union dissolved, evidence from the Soviet archives was declassified and researchers were allowed to study it. This contained official records of 799,455 executions in 1921-1953 (Seumas Milne: "The battle for history", The Guardian. (12 September 2002). Retrieved 14 July 2013.);
around 1.7 million deaths in the Gulag (Applebaum, Anne (2003) Gulag: A History. Doubleday. ISBN 0767900561 pp. 582-583.);
some 390,000 deaths during the dekulakization forced resettlement (Pohl, J. Otto (1997). The Stalinist Penal System. McFarland. p. 148. ISBN 0786403365. Pohl cites Russian archival sources for the death toll in the special settlements from 1941-49);
and up to 400,000 deaths of persons deported during the 1940s (Pohl, J. Otto (1997). The Stalinist Penal System. McFarland. p. 148. ISBN 0786403365. Pohl cites Russian archival sources for the death toll in the special settlements from 1941-49);
with a total of about 3.3 million officially recorded victims in these categories (Wheatcroft, Stephen G. (1999). "Victims of Stalinism and the Soviet Secret Police: The Comparability and Reliability of the Archival Data. Not the Last Word")
According to historian Stephen Wheatcroft, approximately 1 million of these deaths were "purposive" while the rest happened through neglect and irresponsibility (Wheatcroft, Stephen (1996). "The Scale and Nature of German and Soviet Repression and Mass Killings, 1930-45");

Hi, You are absolutely right. Also, just in case, as from historian by education. Georgians in Caucasus, Etruscans in Italy, Corsicans in Corsica, Picts in Britain, Spanish Iberians in Spain and other Iberian, Ibero/ Celtic peoples have same ethno, ethnic origin and represent Iberian race, Iberian, Ibero/ Celtic peoples of Europe and this is why all these listed peoples ( together with originality of each of these ethno, ethnic peoples) have similarities, identical in different forms of culture, in folk music, dance, in ancient architectural style and so on. Also Georgians cultures of different historical times are European ( together with their own culture/ cultures, influences with different European cultures, beginning from ancient times, influences with ancient Greek civilizations, cultures, with Roman cultures, later with Byzantine/East Roman culture, with Catholic Europe and other European cultures during all historical periods in history of Georgians, Georgia, subsequently, among other European cultures, having the closest relationship also with Russian culture ) and of course, all these things proven historically/scientifically by World's, European ( including Georgian) historians/scientists, and this is why Georgians ( Georgia's) European/Western way is absolutely naturally and historically right way to returning to their European roots, which means their true Georgians roots in this South- Eastern, Caucasus region of Europe, where Georgia itself is located and this is how vast majority of Georgians consider themselves and their country.
Just in case, about the ethnic appearance of Georgians, here are some examples:

In addition, I note that Georgians, like Corsicans, Picts, Etruscans, Spanish Iberians and other peoples belong to the Iberian race, the Iberian peoples of Europe and have a kinship etno relationship to Celts through those peoples who have both Iberian and Celtic ethno origin, these last, such peoples live in a certain part of Spain, Britain, Scotland and so on., and there is also a historical opinion that a certain part of the Celts was also mixed with the West Georgian ethnic peoples in their time. From all that has been said, Georgians also have an ethno-cultural attitude towards the Celts in a certain way, which also manifests itself in certain Georgian folk songs, melodies, in dances, for example, the dance "Khorumi" and so on, also proven by archaeological / cultural data. There are also 3 Iberia, Spanish Iberia, Georgian Iberia and Irish Iberia, etc. It is through these mentioned factors that Georgians also have an ethnically related relationship with the Celts.

As a Georgian, i would not say he is highly esteemed here, rather, we are proud that one of the strongest people in history was Georgian, we also hate him, he did very little for us and did a lot of bad, he didnt help with the present problem of the 2 breakaway regions, basically killed 1/5 of our population by sending sooo many men to their deaths and generally never showed us anything beneficial action for stability and unity, he also killed many bright minded Georgians and writers. thats just the Georgian involved stuff, we also dislike him for many other reasons, he killed a lot of people, was generally terrible, and did vexing things to our loved neighbors like Ukrainians, we respect his victory and his power, but thats about it.
Just clarification from my end, i wanted to add a bit of a direct perspective of how people view him here.Great video tho, i really believe Georgia is underrated and soo many interesting vids can be done with its history and culture.

Hi Mr. History, about Georgians, Georgian culture/cultures, as from historian by education. Thing is that Georgians in Caucasus, Etruscans in Italy, Corsicans in Corsica, Picts in Britain, Spanish Iberians in Spain and other Iberian, Ibero/ Celtic peoples have same ethno, ethnic origin and represent Iberian race, Iberian, Ibero/ Celtic peoples of Europe and this is why all these listed peoples ( together with originality of each of these ethno, ethnic peoples) have similarities, identical in different forms of culture, in folk music, dance, in ancient architectural style and so on. As for faith, religion, about 97/98% of Georgians are Christians, among whom the Orthodox Christians are dominant, there are also Georgians Catholics (The positive role, the share of Georgian Catholics in the history of Georgians, Georgia, in the culture, in different directions of Georgians, Georgia is also huge. Before there were much more Georgian Catholics ), Protestants and other Christians.
Just in case, about before the Christian religion of the ancestors of the Georgians, I accidentally made a mistake by writing "... strong displacement by the Greek, Roman, Iberian, Ibero-Celtic cultures", which has nothing to do with the truth, on the contrary, as I noted before, the ancestors of the Georgians and in those days they had the closest cultural, social and other relations with the Greeks, with the Roman Empire, with other Iberians, and so on. Of course, pre-Christian times among the ancestors of the Georgians (Kolkhians/Colchids and Iberians), both in the eastern part - in Iberia, and in the western part-in Kolkhida/Egris, there was a pre-Christian religion, Paganism, similar to pre-Christian ancient Greek, Roman Paganism, which the consequences have mixed, with synthesized into Christianity, into Christian culture, how it all was and happened among other peoples, among other European peoples, countries.
Hi Mr. History again, also, just in case, again about the geographic definition of Georgia. Georgia is territorially also part of Europe, and more specifically the Caucasus part of southeastern Europe...All these incorrect geographic definitions: "Georgia is Eurasia, or just Caucasus and etc", come from distorted Soviet historiography, from the false Soviet stereotypes, which deliberately distorted, mixed historical facts, terms, geographical names, because of their ideology, Soviet-Bolsheviks, also having a desire to create one Soviet people, and so on and so forth., also from various deceitful, invented ideologies, ideas, which still exists in some well-known sites, for example, in the same Wikipedia. Georgia is a country of South- Eastern Europe...Georgia has always been mentioned as part of the European continent, the Caucasus part of Europe for centuries, including the last centuries, in the 19th century, at the beginning of the 20th century on the maps of Europe, the World, including on the maps of Tsarist Russia. Fortunately, historical justice is restoring, also in the geographical designation of Georgia and Georgia is more and more often called Europe, in Europe and in the world, and the overwhelming majority of Georgians hope that this historical process will finally be approved, and in Wikipedia too, Georgia will be called Europe, not Eurasia.
In addition, just in case, one more thing and that's it, here are some examples of Georgian music, songs, folklore, for comparison ...

Thanks for making video about my beautiful and great homeland, but there were some mistakes in the video. for example: Georgia is not in west Asia, but in east Europe; Tamar was not a queen, but a king, even though she was a woman; There's no such a thing called "South Ossetia", that place is actually called სამაჩაბლო (Samachablo).
It's neither brother, the region is called Caucasus and its in the middle of both continents, a unique and historically rather isolated region that preserved it's culture and mentality, the region has it's own linguistic family and a unique ethno-genesis as described in Qartlis dabadeba of Vakhushti Batonishvili which tells the story of 12 Sons of Targamos. We are nor slavs, nor Indo-Europeans, nor Turks, nor central or eastern asians, nor mongols, who are we? Caucasians, which is neither west Asia and neither east Europe, between two seas and two continents lies a special and unique land. If you want to say that majority of our nation wishes euro-integration it's a different topic, but let's not act as something that we aren't and never were. We aren't Europe and never have been, nor geographically nor culturally, when Georgians say that it's a huge undermining of our own culture, because we are Caucasians from Caucasus.

Also, Stalin didn't do anything for ''Russia'', but for the Soviet Union.

Bagrati wasn't first king of Georgia
he was first king of united georgian monarchy.
Hi everyone
Stalin was a killer and all but not an atheist.. where did you find that info?
lol, not atheist?
@David Walker no he literally built churches
He was an atheist, religion was "banned" you had to be a silent Christian in soviet times.
He did order the painting of Saint Mariam on a plane encircling Leningrad
