- On October 20th, 2022, I flew a Spirit A320 from Orlando to Atlanta. Here's how the flight went.

For the price, if all you have is a personal item, I think it’s well worth it. I have flown to Pittsburgh from LAX with no problem and dirt cheap. Headed there again in Aug 2023 for $172.77 round trip! $180 less than AA. I’m cheap though and it is what it is. Double the price isn’t worth the little more I’ll get on another airline.
It definitely works for a travel model like that. Although personally. I'm not sure if I would be comfortable for a flight like yours.
Pretty much what I'd expect from a low fare airline. All the onboard stuff including the quality of the seats are to be expected from some of these types of airlines, but the baggage check in is inexcusable and should be handled much more efficiently as it would benefit not only the passengers, but the Spirit staff would be more productive.
I agree 100%, the seats however really were absolutely terrible
Our gate was at the end and the plane that came in was Cancun it was at the other side of the airport. They changed our gate and it was across the terminal. Insane

How was the wifi speed? Useable? I heard some saying it only works for like 10% of the flight. Curious!
Never tried it, but I have heard it's not great

Spirit spent all the money on NEOS but said screw passengers when it came to the interior

did you check in a bag on spirit airlines. Were they strict with the weight and the personal item size? How much did it cost for the first peice. How was the experience? How much did they charge
I did check a bag, and they have a lower than most airlines cutoff at 40lbs instead of 50. They were strict about everything, as they love to get every dime they can get from you. I paid $40 to check the bag
Is a standard backpack considered a personal item or do I have to check that?

I only fly Spirit if the flight is less than 2 hours. That’s all I’m willing to tolerate.
I have a 5 hour flight on a very similar A320 with spirit coming up...
@@jeffreyzhou1824 Good luck! I flew spirit to Vegas from Chicago (3 hour flight) and worst flight ever since the seats are very uncomfortable!
