I work for IndiGo in the Ramp department. We have a specific term for what you've experienced on this flight : 3 point disembarkation. This was introduced to make a hassle-free experience for the passengers. We don't want any passenger to wait in an aircraft upon landing.
Good for Indians.. they will stand from seats while aircraft still in taxiway. Seems they can’t wait even for few mins
How is it actually faster? Because at the front of the aisle is only one passenger at any given time. So I don’t understand how opening two doors makes things faster if they’re both at the front. If at all, I imagine it’s slower because now, everyone needs to decide whether to go left or right with only one door, there’s no decision to make. You just go left.

@@flimgenco indians don't think. They just think 180 people in 1 door takes 5 minutes, so 180 people in 2 doors takes 2,5 minutes.
Im an avid aviation enthusiast from Kolkata. Nice to know you came here :). Its currently October and CCU is finally getting ready to open the new taxiways and RETs. Excited to see a massive increase in flights soon and hopefully another carrier to VNS.

Indigo's growth model is really very inspiring and is rightfully taught in business management courses.
To achieve this much of growth despite being a low cost carrier is just incredible and while at the same time they have improved their quality, unlike Air India.
It has a bit of monopoly in India not because of non existent competition but because they are the best when it comes to fly at low cost.
I say this with my tongue firmly in my cheek (and yes, I was born and partially grew up in India) - David has a positive bias when it comes to India. I find it adorable!

This was really nostalgic, my dad used to work at LBSIA and I remember going down the apron in awe and watching planes take of. I hope you enjoy your trip in Varanasi.

Airlines in China have been using two doors for loading and disembarking since the 1990s. On the flights I was on, they used front and rear doors. Not surprisingly, everything is twice as fast. Also they didn't enforce the "sit down for takeoff" rule very strictly hahaha!
As you can see in the video, they used three doors at a time! 2 at the front, and one at the back

Hey Simply Aviation, been your fan since many years and yes IndiGo is a great growing airlines now with many international routes. I would recommend you to fly Indigo from Mumbai to Nairobi,Kenya and Jakarta, Indonesia and from New Delhi to Baku, Azerbaijan, Tbilisi, Georgia, Almaty, Kazakhstan and Tashkent, Uzbekistan as they all are very interesting routes. Would love if you guys cover all of them. Love from Mumbai,India 💙

I don't know why but everyone here in India seems to be in Hurry while deboarding even in Business class. As soons as Flight touches down their Feets and Back starts Itching to deboard
@@arpanabinaswar1811 that’s beside the point. The maximum output of the aisle in one direction (towards the front) is 1 person at a time. So I don’t see how opening 2 doors at the front makes it any faster.

It is very frustrating and tiring to keep shifting between the subtitles and the video itself. I love your reviews but wish that you would speak the words. If you are not comfortable with speaking, use one of the myriad text to speech software to generate the voice track.
