I wish that the lagoons had a drain feature, where in order to customize the lagoon you need to drain out the water to get a better look at the design you are making. You could also use the drained lagoon as an enclosure for land dinosaurs as well.

Or just do challenge mode on Canada and unlock the majority of things on there
the lagoon lacks attractions: such as an underwater vision tunnel, a submarine ride, or a boat ride. It would also be good to be able to terraform the interior of the lagoon, by creating deep pits or raising drop offs and submarine mountains, making rocks emerge on the surface from the bottom. and decorative elements such as kelps, posidonia, red gorgonians, corals, sponges.
Also add a greater diversity of food such as live sharks, bank of sardines or very compact herring (sardine run), itchtyiosaurs and plesiosaurs would dive to eat them like dolphins and current sharks.

Pre-ordered the Deluxe edition last night. NZ$87 on Steam. Having Lagoons and aquatic animals is best since Planet Zoo doesn't really have this. And JWE2 is just much more easier to play. Looking forward to playing it this weekend.
There is an old telltale game called "Jurassic Park The Game" which showed a marine species complex in the original Jurassic Park. However, the producers of the Jurassic World trilogy have called it "soft canon" so basically its canon until they say its not.
The fact that you can make a game with such simple terrain tools decorations and buildings look so phenomenal is just so unbelievable !

I wish the lagoon had more animal enrichment as well, we see the dinosaurs interact with each other & the environment so often that it almost makes the water reptiles seem depressed. I would've loved to see them interact more, e.g.: cat & mouse chases, water tunnels that they'd swim around, natural formations for them to hide in or swim through. I feel like these complaints are very similar to the issues we see with the Aviaries; it's great to have them, but I wish they felt more real and impactful, instead of isolated 2D worlds if you will.
I like what they did to the aviaries, with the customization and some interactions. But the lagoon feels like the aviary from the first game which is pretty sad. :( We don't need customizable underwater tunnels, but maybe some sort of premade underwater observation thingy where guests can go, a little aquarium building with prehistoric corals and trilobites or whatever, some plants, only 1 or 2 interactions. It really isn't much, but I doubt they'll add a lot to this, it's probably more likely that we see more underwater animals in the future I guess.x.x
I also don't need underwater plants because I understand that they messed up the plant physics somehow. There's no collission effect when dinosaurs walk through them on land, I think they had that in the first game though..?! A lot of dinosaurs just clip through static stiff trees, I don't want to see a Mosasaurus clipping through underwater plants 24/7 xD
@@bighatastrea Yeah, the fact that even while driving we can just go through trees annoys me a lot. Idk but the game feels kinda unfinished but I'll give it a chance and hopefully things will get better with updates.

I really HATE the gap between the lagoon buildings. Why can't we connect them like the viewing galleries?
Hopefully at some point in the future they’ll make an aquatic DLC that has placeable aquatic items. I think it’d be really cool if you could put a big pirate ship wreck in the middle of your lagoon
Yeah or at least different modules to chose from. Including water change colour and transparency

Haven't unlocked the lagoon yet, but that will be happening today or tomorrow. Absolutely looking forward to using them. Really like this map, the Chaos Theory in this one kept me quite busy haha🦖
Things that would make JW:E 2 better:
1. Customisation with building styles and hotels not just colours
2. Having a terrain brush that interacts with the lagoon creating beaches and shores, as well as lagoon fences like in the movies
3. Different shapes for lagoons as well as small collision areas
4. No snapping option for lagoons and aviary’s
5. Custom size for aviary’s, having different variations of heights

If you consider "Jurassic Park: The game" as a cannon sequel to Jurassic Park I, then, JP did have a lagoon with a baby mosasaurus. But if I remember correctly, there acquatic attractions in the book.

No lagoons in jurrasic park? Hmm I guess for some reason I've been under the speculation that the waters surrounding the island had dinasours in them aswell and I guess I got that notion from jp3 when the boat gets destroyed in the beginning....?
Maybe it was supposed to be a nod to the spino that comes later in the movie now that I think about it.

Yeah there was a one. But it's only in JP the game. The tylosaurus. But you only see this facility in the game. And it's not a lagoon it's more a underwater cliff area

Aviaries! Lagoons could be easily improved with some rocks and maybe kelp and seaweed brushes though.
According to Jurassic Park: The Game (which is considered "soft-canon"), at least one marine exhibit, featuring a Tylosaurus that was featured in said game, was planned for the original Jurassic Park as part of the park's planned Phase 2 expansion 6 months after it had successfully opened.
The first park I'm going to build in sandbox is the original Jurassic Park. Sort of biased towards that era because Its basically my childhood. Then I'm going to build something of my own design using both eras. Still exited that we can now do that without having to use a mod.

Do challenge mode 4 the america one is easy and you can unlock most stuff for sandbox plus its the easy way to get indo rex and indo raptor just release the dino and you unlock it.

Rudi your content is fun, but unfortunately you're working with very limited customization in the game, hope the game developments improves in this regard. But I fear that the game will go into more stringent line when it comes to customization. I will wait for Prehistoric Kingdom early access in 2022, to see which I will prefer. (Somewhat I am disappointed in JWE 2, I was hoping for more) But thank you for doing what you can with the game, appreciated.
