- Jurassic World and the restricted section of Isla Nublar has been a popular topic on dinosaur species and what kinds of secrets Dr. Wu could’ve kept there. Hybrid dinos are seen briefly in the lab at the end of the 4th movie but things like the Scorpius Rex make it even more interesting. By the way the monster in the thumbnail is a Mortem Rex! It’s like Godzilla and a Tyrannosaur met!

I always assumed it was like Isla Sorna: an area where animals are either just allowed to breed and live wild, and Wu and the scientists just run random experiments on animals for the park, future attractions, hybrids, or maybe the unspecified dinos are just "Guinea pigs" for any scientific stuff.
Like Wu would say "collect a few fresh specimens from the restricted area, I'm planning a new hybrid and need some fresh material".

Animals like corythosaurus ceratosaurus and probably even Mamenchiosaurus there was tons of animals in sector 5 that wasn’t public to the park probably even tarbosaurus if hidden adventure is canon.
They could have had smilodon, because manta Corp didn't make any dinosaurs, and in jurassic park you see a smilodon toy, it could probably be the same case as the allosaurus
They created the spinoceratops and could have created the Kentrosaurus and the Notosaurus

@@TheIronDuke18159 considering the fact that the dilos on mantah corp island have frills, can spit gooey black acid, and have the same coloration as the ones from nublar and sorna, i think mantah corp stole those dilos off of sorna, just like the two rexes. the raptors can be up to debate though, as they have different coloration compared to the ones from sorna.

Now, my expanded headcannon includes ancillary material from the 2010 app game, the Dangerous Games comic, and a version of the Lego series as taking place within the Restricted Area (sorta explaining the usage of Allosaurus).
I also assume that some dinosaurs & paleofauna from concept art, DNA used for the Indominus Rex, (like the Therozinosaurus and some of the Abelisaurs), the holoscape and the JW walk-through exhibition were also there, albeit in small numbers.
I think Allosaurus was indeed an Attraction, It was on the Holoscape
Just an idea maybe like a small cool short series they should make is like “the building of jurassic world” it would be a small documentary en it would like explain the capturing of some creatures en could maybe give some more inside of the restricted area.
Animal species like monolophosaurus, ouranosaurus, tarbosaurus, coelurus, deinonychus, edmontosaurus, euoplocephalus, lesothosaurus, mesosaurus, metriacanthosaurus, peloroplites, segisaurus, teratophoneus, and styracosaurus were being house due to them being not fit for display, not yet given a enclosure for the park or too dangerous for guest to interact with
Metriacanthosaurus was in the Cretaceous river cruise with other animals like apatosaurus, Parasaurolophus, Microceratus, even other like baryonyx and suchomimus which is probably not restricted bc people are cruising in kayas. And for mesosaurus? Is that supposed to be “Mosasaurus” that the main attraction to the park

I thought Hammond didn't plan on the Stegosaurus for the Park on Isla Nublar. Are you saying Allosaurus was? We knew there were a few small Stegosaurus in the park. Did Hammond change his mind, considering T-Rex & Triceratops were arch enemies so the subject applies to Allosaurus & Stegosaurus as well?
There’s material from the 90’s that says they didn’t have a complete DNA sample of Allosaurus yet. Maybe they’d cloned one before but they did plan on using it in one of the parks sometime after Jurassic Park was supposed to open

Peter Jackson's King Kong 2005 is such an underrated dinosaur movie, I loved those dinosaurs! And they were speculative evolution not genetically engineered
U know , I get hey a lot of fans don’t want anymore hybrids in the franchise , but I still thinks it s possible to add more of them wether on the main land or even on one the islands of “la cinco de muertes”

I would love to one day get a live action serie that would explore the time that park was fully operational and take us to the backstage where all of the decisions were made from simple ones like what species will be in park next or what to do with deas assets or how to handle overpopulation etc.
I reckon in the restricted area they have Dinosaurs that are planned to be opened for Guest Viewing but are not yet because of enclosure issues, too expensive, etc
Hmm. Well given Jurassic Park Survival we could get like Jurassic World Survival where it'll be the same as Jurassic Park Survival. It takes place in 2016, a full year after Jurassic World ended. You could play someone from Biosyn for example to get DNA and such and go to the restricted area and even see some things from Camp Cretaceous like the camp, Hidden Adventure (I consider it canon) and such.
The "restricted area" was the old park
Its probably dinos that were either too aggressive for public display like Toro, dinos that were sickly, new dinos being studied to help integrate them into the park, or perhaps the Tarbosaurus.
That's where they keep the original scripts for JP4 with the dino/human hybrids.

In the restricted area, there is a subterranean carnivorous worm from the precambrian era. Known to sense vibrations from above, it hunts prey from below and uses a cluster of smaller tenticle like appendages from its mouth to drag prey into its jaws.
I think my theory on whats in the restricted area may have held other hybrid dinosaurs that they have made or like past experiments when making the indominus rex for her big screen view,or maybe a dinosaurs of isla sorna that we never got to see in the lost world or Jurassic Park 3 .
Hey Klayton, I don’t mean to go off topic but what’s happening with DragonCurve? I rarely see new content anymore and there’s still a ton of 70-90’s creature features that have yet to be covered.
Another animal that was meant for a future exhibit was the Woolly mammoth, and we see its frozen remains on a tray in JW:CC. I think it was another animal that sadly went under the radar, and never got cloned along with other possible cenozoic beasts. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if ingen was secretly working on a possible Siberian theme park, and there is evidence to support this throughout the franchise.

You know what I think, we could have had the deinosuchus displaying some opportunistic hunter behavior during the chaos of fallen kingdom as dinosaurs rushed to the water to escape, heck, a deino could have even survived and swam off the island if they had used saltwater crocodile DNA to fill in the genetic gaps.

I personally think the restricted area was to house the juvenile carnivores until they could be moved to their new enclosures.

I think they need to stay away from hard hybrids and just keep it a soft canon going forward. Spinosaurus is retconned as a hybrid, then we got I. rex and Indoraptor. But going forward the species should be “straight species” and inconsistencies in the CGI and scientific inaccuracies be made out to be separate lines of dinosaurs. I actually wish they would run with that honestly. Imagine a scene where the protagonist is watching a pack of compies fighting with a flock of crows and a coyote over a carcass. The idea being that the dinosaurs, while not natural, fall into the natural ecosystem. Then explore the idea of how the different genetic companies are going crazy with genetically engineered animals and how these theme park monsters are just animals and the struggle to survive just like everything in nature. Then explore how these dinosaurs are trying to adapt to the 21st century and what modern species are doing to adapt as well. It’s a nuanced storyline that we will never get.

Is no one going to acknowledge that pretty much all of the original park is in that area. Who knows, mabey Masrani built on some of Hammond's old infastructure. Afterall, the concrete moat that the Ford Explorer fell off of in Jurassic Park is no longer there, we saw that in Fallen Kingdom. And in Jurassic World we see that the ground level has risen to the doors of the visitor centre, the one that had a flight of stairs in front of it.
Just thought that it would be an intresting idea.
Seeing how they retconned the whole of JP in fallen kingdom and Dominion. Who knows what universal will do this time, but for the love of God no more cloned humans or Owens hand movements to stop dinosaurs.
