Jurassic World 4 Sounds Very Different (New Script Praised)

- Jurassic World 4 sounds like it may be insanely better judging by what Scarlet has said in a recent interview. With David Koepp back and a throwback to the island setting the dinosaurs may actually be cool again if the script is as good as everyone is saying it will be. No clue as to which species will be in that movie but everything looks like it is aiming to improve things and take it back to the park days of The Lost World. Personally I’d love to see them make things more realistic and scary but also make the animals just awesome.

I’d say “cautiously optimistic” is the tone of this fanbase at the moment.
I was coming to comment this, but you beat me to it.
The script means nothing. But if your execution isn’t good, then your movie ain’t going to live up to expectations.
Precisely... because they also said the exact same about the last 2...
When dinosaurs spread around the world the series went down the drain, for me. I don't want to see dinosaurs in San Francisco being walked in the park with dogs or some nonsense.
@@M1GarandMan3005The script is everything.
This movie is just as important at Jurassic World (2015). This movie will determine the future of the Jurassic franchise. After Dominion and CC, etc, this movie is super important
Did not expect you here
And Jurassic World is mediocre.
@@ElAssoWipe-o i can highly disagree with that statement. you can ask anyone who isnt a "jurassic fan" and they will say it was their favorite. the introduction of a lot of different dinosaurs was amazing for the franchise... and i do understand that if you know how it was made, you would be mad at it but still man you cant dis credit a good ass movie just cuz you know more about it
@@RoomyXI You just prove my point that it's mediocre.
@@ElAssoWipe-o in what way? i said it was the best and honestly, the most useful for the franchise since jurassic park. it got so many new people into the lore n you should be happy it was a thing
I think with all the praise this script is getting, we are in safe hands. It's about time we get another WELL written jurassic film
The other ones have been good, y’all really just hate on anything tbh 😭😂
You are never going to get that cause Michael Crichton is gone, and all Hollywood cares about are DEI hires.
@@wifflewaffle5006 you cannot seriously say the jurassic world sequels are well written
@@desmondclubland4006 i think they are love those films
Nah bruh the scripts are bad@@wifflewaffle5006
Gareth Edwards directing, David Koepp writing, and Scarlett Johansson starring!! So many reasons to be hyped for this movie!! 🦖🦕
still better talent than what they hired for jw1-3
@@jackmills7758 As far as it being a Jurassic film, the fact that Scarlett is in it does not make me feel better about the movie...I just figure as long as the rest turns out a good product, then she will do her job too. It is the writing and direction of the script that will really dictate how this movie turns out. I like Scarlett a lot; i love many of her movies, but she isn't the only great acting talent out there that could pull it off as long as the material falls in place.
@@jackmills7758even if you didn’t like them, that doesn’t mean you can’t deny there is some talent put into those projects.
Well, two outta three ain't bad.
don't get too ahead of yourself yet
The irony of the Netflix movie made to parody the production of Jurassic World Dominion is that that movie turned out to be an unfunny and lame comedy to be even worse than Dominion.
If this new film turns out to be a spiritual adaptation of JP: Trespasser as well as a genuine attempt to learn from past mistakes, then they have a chance of getting ahead of their other blockbuster franchise rivals at Warner and Disney.
Netflix movie? What are ya talkin bout
@@DinossauroDaAmazonia A Judd Apatow comedy called "The Bubble" that was written and filmed during 2020 to parody the lockdown situation of Dominion's production.

I think they should drop World from the title going forward and use Park again.
Because I think if they use World on this one, most of the casual moviegoers who don't pay attention to movie news will assume it's just another continuation of JW3.
Yep. that make sense. Also, the source material is Jurassic PARK. not World. It was Colin's interpretation of the source material changing from Park to World. Now that story is completed and closed. In the conclusion, it was like Dino's co-existing with other animals peacefully. And now as they claim its a "completely fresh take of the franchise & a kind of reboot", they should bring the Park title again. Something like Jurassic Park:_____ or ________: Jurassic Park
Yes! I’ve been wanting them to drop World too.
I 100% agree with you. At this point if they declare everything from Jurrasic world all the way to Dominion as non cannon or retcon the whole thing, I would be really happy. These morons already retconned the first movie about founding of Jurrasic park and the cloning bs.
I'm not trusting anything Hollywood is telling me until I see the film myself.
Because how much are these people actually genuinely saying this vs what universal/their publicists telling them what to say.
This.
03:35 The original movies were obviously always a little unrealistic and over-the-top in some places, but all three of them were still pretty grounded and decently written. To a certain degree, there were nuanced characters, the dinosaurs felt "chaotic neutral" and not good or bad, the action (aside from the gymnastics idiocy) wasn't on a super hero level, etc. So basically, you JUST had to suspend your belief that this was a world in which humanity had ONE new major scientific breakthrough but was otherwise the same as our world. Again, it was grounded in reality but with one huge difference.
With the Jurassic World movies (and Camp Cretaceous), all of that went out the window, leaning fully into the world of action movie cliches and tropes, heaps of futuristic technology differentiating it from the real world, flanderized villains, super hero main characters, etc. All of that is fine to a degree, but it's made people have a revisionist view of the whole franchise. Now everyone seems to think "Oh, these movies were ALWAYS ridiculous and unrealistic! They were always about dinosaur fights and sci-fi action nonsense!"
Couldn't have said it better. I hate when movies are suppose to be set in the present day and they have technology and clothing that no one uses or wears anywhere on earth. The JW trilogy is like a cartoon. The volcano scene in FK was so stupid and over the top that it's laughable.
Totally agree, that’s the main problem of the JW saga. Everything is over the top, the characters seem Marvel’s superheroes, the dinosaurs seem Marvel’s supervillains. In the original films you had normal people vs normal animals, and that was what made em so great.
Spot on🙌💯
Honestly, Klayton, your videos have changed my outlook on this movie from one of caution and actually fear to excitement and positivity. I hope it’s something great, keep up the good work, and thanks!
Nice!
Been waiting to hear about JURASSIC WORLD IV.
Been expecting your video on this information on the script for Jurassic 7 hopefully they make the dinosaurs more scary yet animalistic.
Showing LOVE for my absolute FAVORITE channel period thank you for another great video once again my friend. Have a blessed day and week everyone.
Have a blessed day man!
I'm honestly excited that David Koepp is back after all this time and I am looking forward to what he does with this movie. Maybe he will introduce concepts that he wanted to try on the older movies into this one and just maybe we will go back to Sorna, and if not Sorna then a new island.
Great video of the new script for the new Jurassic Movie and can’t wait to see what they’re going for with all these especially with the dinosaurs and Life Definitely Finds A Way with this and it’s about to get WILD.
Pretty cool Klayton and as always, Take It Easy and Life Finds A Way.
It might be an island like yaz was living on in Chaos Theory. Where they think they're safe from dinos but somehow dinos get on the island and then everyone is stranded there.
It's an Island near Suriname
Universal Studios just had 2 successful films. There is always HOPE. Thanks for an amazing video
My one worry about David Koepp coming back, when he wrote JP1 and JP2, he had a book to go off of when writing it. So yes he's the OG, but it's not a jp adaptation like JP1 and 2. That could be a good or bad thing
Fantastic point.
There's still alot of stuff from the books that can be adapted.
There is a good bit of material still useable from the books. I’m not sure if a whole script can be made but definitely worth highlighting some things .
Different like the force awakens promised or different like JP the lost world?
I really hope more like Lost World
@@KlaytonFioriti here’s to hoping….
2:45 My man is going to start a family ?😄
One could argue that it coming this quickly tells me that they're confident with this film and want to get it made as soon as possible. Either way, I'm cautiously excited, especially because Gareth Edwards, one of my favourite modern directors, is directing this and David Koepp wrote it.
I pray this script is good and can help the Jurassic franchise be good chaos theory was good but we need more to the widespread public
We need a live-action Jurassic Series, what would draw in more people, rather than the animated series.
I didnt hate Dominion
But it wasnt any JP1
Different can be quite good
Don't all actors say they're fans of a franchise they sign up for
Sad but true
Cautiously optimistic is the way! I really hope that David Koepp's script will elevate this Jurassic film to the JP's old glory, but, as you were saying Klayton, your reminder that the studios want this movie to be rushed gives me a feeling of unease. I hope they find a silver lining between this and manage to make a worthy JP sequel.
Give me that "An adventure 65 million years in the making" vibe! We are waiting for it!
As fas as we know Scarlett Johansson wanted to be part of the film. So, she is an A-List artist right now and she probably read the script and loved it. She would not risk her reputation in a bad movie. Dominion received bad critics and even so she wanted to be in this film. I think it will be good.
I like dinosaur 🦕
I like your dp
I also like dinosaur 🦕
My theory is that the group will be a gang of hunters that goes to Sorna as a perfect place to poach dinosaurs away from the DPW, and they find some ingen secret something while they're there.
The only thing another Jurassic Park movie needs is plenty of scenes with the spinosaurus snapping the T-Rex's neck over and over and over again.
Nah, it needed Steven Seagal fighting a T-rex from his chair.
if this film really does end up going the route that the first two jp films did, then thank god, but it'll be bittersweet cause this is the kind of film that i wished the original trio could've been in instead of the joke they were portrayed as in dominion 😔
I love Jurassic Park, but... I gotta agree, I kind of prefer The Lost World. It feels more wild and primal while still having that original Jurassic Park feel.
Just watched The Lost World for the first time in a while the other day. First time my daughter saw it. Can’t express how happy I was watching her watch the Trex camper/cliff scene.
Bro you're slow 😂
When the dinosaurs started to become global I was half expecting to see cities and towns surrounded by walls (like Attack on Titan, World War Z or Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress), with armoured trains, trucks and tunnels connecting each settlement.
It could have been a futuristic rendition of Terra Nova, without the weird time travel gimmick.
Well, I doubt the dinosaurs would ever become a big enough threat to alter humanity's trajectory like that. Even if they're allowed to form stable populations, it wouldn't be hard to kill any dinosaur that finds its way into urban areas.
Also, nice to see someone else remembers Terra Nova. I wish we got more shows like that.
Lol I think you're getting a little ahead of yourself there.
I love the first trilogy (mostly JP1 and TLW), the first Jurassic Park is my favorite movie of all time and i really like the book too, the Jurassic World trilogy i have mixed feelings... hoping this new movie is gonna be good
I read somewhere that scarlett johanssons character is like a tomb raider type character. Also, they are taking stuff from trespass, and are gonna make it like peter jacksons king kong. Probably just rumours though? We'll see next year.
What they really need to do is change the title back to Jurassic Park because it just sounds better imo
This may be a stupid comment but I really appreciate these videos. For a franchise as high profile as JP I’m surprised I’m not hearing about this stuff at all. ‘Preciate the updates
Cautiously optimistic is exactly right. I don't want to be hurt again, but honestly hearing you point out that the company itself is taking the step back to think (rather than do what Disney did) and to work to get Koepp and Johansson onboard is massive. Koepp probably named his price and still got the job, which is awesome. Even if the company only wants to make profit, understanding that projects of love are what ultimately keeps the profit-machine running is so important.
The gymnastics scene kills me every time.
That scene killed us all (along with that poor raptor).
How dare you slight the gymnastics scene lol
I really like the lost world it has more adventure and a sense of danger, uncertainty, and urgency cause theyre on a island where nothing is caged in and they have their natural tendencies since they live in the wild
I watch Jurassic World recently like a month ago and it’s still really good (a lot better than Dominion’s writing and story), hell the ending of Jurassic World still makes me cry because of beautiful it is from the music, editing, cinematography, pacing, and sound design. As for Jurassic World 4, I’m very glad Scarlet Johansson really likes the script from David Koepp and she’s a big Jurassic fan. It’s interesting that we haven’t heard anything from Gareth Edward about working on the film nor the script, hopefully we will got some news or information about that in the future.
I wish we have Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver for the future.
@@kavehaghayazdi2576 Yeah same, they shouldn’t be more involved with the Jurassic World trilogy.
Yeah what were they meant to say? "Yeah, the script isn't that great, but let's see"
:p
What if they show JP:Europe as the Island or JP:Japan.😮
Always wanted an offical second timeline where it all went right. Jurassic park europe, dubai, italy, Zimbabwe/botswana etc
I'm guessing the official title will be revealed very soon.
or a film delay jumpscare
I really do believe we're only going to be on an island for a small portion of the movie. It'll be an extended setpiece, a flashback sequence or the location of some kind of macguffin.
I still love the entire franchise and I'm happy to be in the normal people category 😂. I'm just excited to have David Koepp back on board because the first one will always be what I think of first when I think of Jurassic Park.
Smaller scale movie set in the past on one of the Islands would be great
Rushing a movie into production and wanting it to be really good are usually direct conflicts. Still, to paraphrase Michael Scott, I am ready to get hurt again.
I don't think the newer films have been bad, just a far heavier focus on family friendly than what you would expect for a film with dinos, but especially the carnivorous ones 😅. I mean I used to be terrified of the original trilogy as a kid and it wasn't until the first Jurassic world came out I gave them another shot and fell in love with them after that.
This movie is making me very curious but I’m gonna trust Gareth Edwards and David Koepp.
I actually do like The Lost World more than JP, but I really do hope that this does turns out to be really good and that the dinosaurs actually look and feel like animals instead of monsters or with human like emotions.
Can't wait to see Garret Edwards with some scary scenes, dark tone like with Godzilla 2014 in this new Jurassic movie.
plus godzilla has plenty of jurassic park references so its easy to know what gareth's style of filmaking is and its a very good choice on amblin's end
If the script is good, then I need to see a sneak peak at it first 😅
My opinion is that what I'm hoping for Gareth Edward will include a little bit of sequels to the first original jurassic park. You know, go back to the island and see some kind of abandoned theme park. And even through, dinosaurs still around, which may be so quiet. So, if not. Then, they could do a little bit of different sequels to dominion. So, I hope it not that crap. Whoever knows, we'll see to go.
I actually like that they’re keeping this hidden. Although it would be nice if they revealed a little more so that we would know what to expect. Just in my opinion.
Honestly I'm a Jurassic Park fan and I actually liked all the movies now Jurassic world doesn't compare to Jurassic Park but I still enjoyed all the movies even dominion cause I always wondered what happened to with biosyn head guy after nedry and it answered that question and I liked it for the nostalgia of having the original gang back together the only thing I really had a issue with was the whole locust thing I didn't think that whole thing needed to be in the movie and the movie was pretty all over the place which I didn't really like either but other than those two things I liked it and it was pretty cool seeing all the dinosaurs all over the place
Please be amazing. Some movies can be pleasantly surprising.
Shadows did a really good video recently talking about JP Europe and how the islands mentioned could be the Azores Islands, off the coast of West Africa and Europe, and quite possibly tie into camp Cretaceous.
I think it´s gonna be Jurassic Park Europe. I´m serious.
All I want is the movie to be dark like the first two. Have the dinos be scary
It sounds like this Jurassic movie 🎥 has all the right ingredients to be a spectacular movie. I can't wait to see what dinosaurs 🦖🦕 will be in this one
I expect it to get pushed back to the holidays. After Thanksgiving/before Christmas time frame. If they really DO make July, I have low expectations. It'll be just too rushed. Holidays will still be rushed, but they would have the chance to still make it good
Theory time
The island is the manta corp island and we will get live action versions of Ben,Brooklyn,Darius,Kenji,Sammy and Yaz even though Ramsay looks like the adult version of Darius from chaos theory
I am still pretty skeptical. With the recent content giving to us Dominion, Camp Cretaceous, and Chaos Theory all in which in my opinion were pretty awful, I can’t say that I am excited for up coming content especially this film. But who knows it could be pretty good, but it doesn’t seem likely to me, I think they prefer the more marvel like and comedic, child friendly stories.
I’m just so happy David Koepp has come back! I just also hope they don’t taint the franchise with the rushed production! Hopefully we will be pleasantly surprised!
the gymnastics scene is great!. second to "Alan!"
😂
I’ve enjoyed every Jurassic film regardless, but I’m seeing and hearing good signs of this next one, hoping the streak continues for me.
My understanding was that this next one isn’t a sequel to Dominion, but a midquel, set possibly before Jurassic World.
I like the first half of fallen kingdom where their on the island.
Isn't the new movie supposed to be a soft reboot. So maybe it takes place between lost world and 3. Or it takes places after lost world and reboots the films from there
I don't know what's gonna happen, but I only know is that it's going to be pretty good either way.
I wonder what they'll call it if it is a start of a new trilogy. As Jurassic park was three movies and Jurassic world is three movies I wonder what they'll call it
Great video! I’m also cautiously optimistic about this upcoming film, hopefully they can recapture Crichton’s vision! On that note, did you see that there’s a new book out from Crichton with James Patterson?? I just picked it up and it looks amazing
Yeah my friend actually asked Sherri Crichton about Jurassic World at that interview!
@@KlaytonFioriti Oh no way! That’s awesome! It would definitely be interesting to hear what she has to say about the franchise. Maybe even a good video idea
Thanks for the video!! See you later!! Stay safe.😊
NGL i loved all the world films but a more older style would be really cool
I’m still cautiously optimistic & concerned . But with Scarlett s excitement, Gareth and David Koepp involved , it’s honestly helping easing some of the tension
Can’t wait!!!!
I'm happy for Scarlett Johansson getting a chance to star in one of these movies, especially after hearing the original Jurassic Park inspired her to get into the business.
huh i did not know scarlett was a jurassic park fan
Ffs when u said jw is from 2015, im like jezus almost ten years later. Time flies sooo fast
My theory is they've tactically said 'island' and it could mean an island holiday resort during an outbreak like Hanoi in Dead Island - cut off from mainland emergency responses, much like Jaws, the tourism would suffer is stories of Mosasaurs spotted on windsurfing trips got out.
Eventually it's too late and one of these island resorts has attracted enough species that it becomes a desperate escape as infrastructure fails, much like the first movie, going back to it's 'suspenseful horror' roots.
Please Universal don't destroy Jurassic Park like Disney has Star Wars. I need at least one movie franchise from my childhood to survive.
i dont care how it happens or what happens to it, but if we get to see the Spino in JW4 I will be content. Camp Cretaceous wasn't enough to satiate my nostalgia
The problem is not Collin Trevorrow, the problem is Universal Studios
So Universal demanded he have the iconic theme play over boring architecture instead of the dinosaur attractions in Jurassic World? Tons of bad directing choices in these movies.
This is incredible and interesting
Since it’s coming out in July instead of June so we’re going to be getting 2 months of Jurassic instead of 1 if you’re getting my point klayton?
If there's one thing I know about Gareth Edwards, it's that he can direct scale. Personally I hope this film leans a bit closer to his Godzilla film in terms of its deployment of the dinosaurs. I've always been of the opinion that a "less is more argument" is perfectly valid when it comes to Jurassic Park and if Kett can get the character relationships right no-one will notice that theres only ~15 minutes of dinosaurs. Actually, taking from another Godzilla film, of all things, I think that Godzilla: Minus One might be a good thing to look at, where human characters are at the heart of the film and, because you are invested in them, you are more invested in the devestation of the monster.
I loved the first Jurassic World, saw it in theaters twice as a kid and really can’t wait to see another well written Jurassic movie
some people like me rarely rewatch movies, even good ones or ones i just simply like and enjoy
Another exeptional video Klayton, well done.
As a religous fan, I naturally am excited and I really do want this to do well. It's got a great writer, a great actress, a great director and great locations so i'm wishing all the best for it. But the speed that this film is being produced is worrying, it's obviously not going to be next year thats not going to happen but if it's being made with in this amount of time, there is a high chance this is being rushed. And based on were Dominion left off (which by the way I don't care what all these deluded people think, i'm really struggling to think of a film worse than Dominion. I'm sure there is one but I have yet to find it) it's going to take alot to get Jurassic off that dark spiral that Dominion put the franchise on. It is possible but they are going to have to work some kind of miracle. I also hope that they don't make the same mistakes as the past two trilogies. First one is fantastic, second is great but with bits of silliness sprinkled throughout and the third is just ridiculous.
It's got honest people who actually have a passion and love for the franchise and really are working hard. But i'm keeping my expectations low just so that the film can sweep me off my feet when we all finally see it.
P.s Also, thanks for that information on the Dominion production, i'll have to check out that 'bubbe' film you mentioned it sounds intresting.
Hi Klayton. I love all your videos. I am going to be honest I am very' very worried about this movie. I will wait until it hits DVD and rent it. Jean Crosby
Hey Klayton, what is your favorite prehistoric mammal?
Smilodon
And which one is your least favorite?
Also, have you seen any of the Ice Age movies?
I've already seen jurassic park 4 before and it was a fan made movie i found and sadly it gotten tooken down
Movies used to be able to be filmed, finalized and then released in less than a year. I’m not sure how it got to be that it would take over a year or more. The original was filmed in 4 months and then 6 months in post production. The lost world 4 months and 5 months respectively. They have plenty of time for this movie.
It needs to be on an island. There needs to be that sense of isolation the entire film
I have faith in the script, but am I the only one concerned that they're just now starting filming and it'll be in theaters in barely a year??
Doesn't leave much time for editing and reshoots, etc...
It would be cool to see better effects, also... The animatronics from Dominion looked so stiff... Maybe bring back the Legacy Effects team that worked at the Stan Winston Studio...
I went from "meh" to "ok I'm listening"
with gareth Edwards, I'm pretty sure it'll atleast look amazing xD
I personally still think Jurassic World/Jp4 was the best film in the franchise since both Jurassic Park, and The Lost World : Jurassic Park. I just don't get why universal butchered both Fallen Kingdom/Dominion so badly, and why they didn't take steps to plan out the sequel trilogy better. I have however grown more fond of Jp3 over time, and even though it isn't the absolute best of the franchise I do feel it is a tad underrated.
Never understood the hate towards Dominion as a huge fan of the first 3 movies, and chaos effect, I felt like Dominion was exactly the sequel I dreamed of as a kid and I thought it felt like a love letter to the franchise. Seeing OG Trio again, Dodgson, BioSyn, and a bunch of new dinosaurs all being things I wanted to see. There is a few things I do dislike about the movie like how the giga isn’t a real villian, and the length of the film, but I really enjoyed it overall especially compared to the first 2 World films, I never was fan of them, I did love the hybrids though, I am really excited about this new movie especially with David Koepp back
Klayton, did you not enjoy Jurassic World? I get the complaints against its sequels but I thought it was an excellent addition to the franchise and my favorite sequel.
I actually loved it. Saw it 5 times in the theaters. I just got really bummed out after Dominion
