Pep contacted him before arriving at Man City asking Mikel to be his assistant. That really is quite high praise in itself.
They say the best do everything well. Given their history and Arteta’s premier league experience what some people see as genius now was questioned then. Certainly helped Pep instantly
I’m 26 and I genuinely don’t think i’ve felt this type of atmosphere at Arsenal before. Obviously we had more success at Highbury, but since the Emirates era it’s the first time that there’s been a genuine feeling of something special building here. It’s why so many of us are fine accepting we’re not quite there yet, because it almost feels inevitable that we will be at the top again soon. God bless super Mik Arteta
The positivity around the club is the best it’s been since the Invincible’s era. I think the squad is not quite there yet for the title this year (the Gabriel Jesus injury shows how thin the squad is), but we’re the second best team in England and have the opportunity to be in the title race every year for the conceivable future with Arteta
Something is brewing at the Emirates. If it’s not this season, then the next will be when we actually go for the title, toe to toe
The Emirates is a fortress. Teams fear coming here now.
When Arteta first joined, he said he wanted to improve the connection between club and fans. Credit to him. That's exactly what he's done.
@@serene1915 it’s crazy how much our atmosphere has changed in the span of 3 years. Long may it continue
In all the years of going to emirates, this year it has been absolutely booming! Credit to Arteta for doing exactly what he said, but also got to give credit to the AA group for getting the Clock End going, that has really helped!

He is and will be a great coach.. It's unbelievable how pep acknowledged arteta's ability to read the game and see different aspects even before he retired
Pep knew Arteta’s knowledge was elite ….. he probably didn’t think deep down that selling Jesus and Zinchenko would have much impact. Little did he know😅
Respect to Pep. He honed Artetas skills and let him go fuflil his managerial dreams.
Pep, Arteta, Xavi, ten Hag will dominate world football in a few years.
@@serene1915 I'm sure he did but City had Hallaand and other absolute world class players. Zinchenko and Jesus knew they would have very very little opportunity no matter how good they are. You can hear from everyone’s opinion on him, he’s highly regarded, and arsenal saw it and said this is it! Let’s go GUNNERS!
Jamie really is a great pundit... makes Gary look like a wannabe. I would've said he makes him look like a child but Gary makes himself look that way
Imagine Micah Richards trying to conduct this interview. He wouldn't be capable of asking one interesting question and would laugh non stop at nothing. This is why she shouldn't be on television

How have you guys managed to make this anything else than what is in the video, lol don’t reply to my comment bad mouthing other pundits, buss out.
Micah Richards is the most insightful into the Morden game as the most recent ex player, with the least amount of bias I would say. He also is very cheerful and always seems to have a positive spin on everything. Gary, annoying with his choice of words, does create conversation that can spark people to question football decisions today as well as how our modern game is different to the “old” game and how important tactical issues and the build up play is more important now than simply getting it up there and scoring.
I get it, they ain’t everyone’s cup of tea, but boy I don’t think it’s okay to diss them on a programme they aren’t even presenting, it shows how much you are thinking negatively towards them and how they are living rent free in your minds. Come on people

As a lifelong Gooner, I was happy to have Arteta in the midfield, as he seemed a safe pair of hands in the middle at a time where we really lacked quality. He seemed to be a leader on the pitch, but if I remember right injuries really cut down on his playing time towards the end of his playing days. Very impressed with the improvement he's brought to the team, he was definitely dealt a rough hand at the start but you can see he's followed through with his vision, and I'm glad the Arsenal execs have given him the time and backing to do so.

Excellent watch, what Mikel has done for the club has been immense. His plan was a good one, bringing in a team of hungry young players with potential was the correct option for us, given our situation. Together with Partey and Xhaka in midfield, they have done very well to be this good a unit so quickly into their development, and they are still four to five years from their peaks.
