Simon crowbars in "buying Crystal Palace" at 4 mins 11 seconds. A new personal best.
lol
That'll be hard to Beat but he will give it a good go I'm sure 😂
😂😂
But did he fight at Wembley in front of 80,000??
You'd think he owned Buckingham Palace the amount of times he mentions it.
In that match against Barca, I kept thinking how can someone so young and previously unheralded kid can do that to the Barca midfield, it was unreal and remains fresh in my memory to this day.
Very well said it was insane🎉🎉🎉🎉
Jack was on a mission that night, unreal performance!Shame about the injuries great to see him coaching the youth team with Per, Edu & Mikel we've a real identity again...
Man , Jack was a phenomenal. I still remember that like it was yesterday
Completely blazed through peak Barca that night, it’ll always remain magical.
Good luck to Jack. I wish him well.
Simon tries to make it sound like the club willingly lowered its standards. Taking on the stadium debt and being unable to spend at the same moment that Abramovich and the Glazers and the Saudis made money more important than ever inflating the market was the biggest factor. But you can’t say the new stadium was a mistake. It was something that had to be done to secure the long term future of the club and make them able to compete in the new circumstances in the long run, which it did. And everyone underestimates what it took for Wenger to keep Arsenal in the CL for ten years after the stadium move. And people also forget that there were a number of title challenges in there even though they didn’t end up winning it, as well as 3 FA Cups in the club’s “darkest period.”
Tackled Messi & popped past Iniesta.... 😎🤯
Once a Gooner always a Gooner Jack ❤
That goal against Norwich always gives me goosebumps.

this guy has matured so much since he left arsenal. Becoming a very good youth coach and role model in the academy
He never left Arsenal

His monotone voice and lack of facial expression makes him seem like a dour chap but it's a rare interview from a player where he actually gives you a very clear explanation of what was happening within his club and in his career. Excellent interview
“Monotone voice and lack of facial expression” I honestly couldn’t tell if you were referring to Jack or Simon at that point.
@@hyperprotagonist lol could apply to both but simons voice isn't deep enough to be described as monotone

I feel like the "injuries" card gets played far too often as an excuse. No doubt, he didn't have the greatest injury record by any means, but I still feel like he lost that bit of magic once he started developing from his early twenties onwards. I personally felt that he filled out too much later in his career by putting on body mass which impeded the main attributes of his game of carrying the ball, commiting opposition players & being agile & mobile enough to swiftly turn away & wriggle past opponents with a quick change of direction. He was nowhere near as silky a player after that 2010/11 season. Of course, injuries didn't help, but I don't buy into the narrative that it was plainly a case of "injuries robbed him of going on to achieve greatness in the game." Even when he did go through spells of getting a consistent run of games in the side later on, as I said previously, he'd lost that bit of magic that he showed when he was first breaking through & failed to ever recapture it. I think too much emphasis is placed on the Barca game when he was 19 & his "injury record" as way of explaining as to why he never went on to become world class.
Devastating that is. Him and Abou Diaby should be at the top right now. Wilshere in particular just loved a tackle and always got caught with the worst of it ☹️
@@oisin5684hence messi
Oh stop it, his injuries where horrendous. The guy was a super talent. @@oisin5684
we saw this comment already mate, you don't need to post it everywhere. The injuries card does get played a lot but not in the case of Wilshere who clearly had a career threatening injury where he admits he was never the same player after, this could be the magic your referring to @@oisin5684
Jack Wilshere will always be my legend such an unfortunate plight with injury. The way he would touch the ball while static straight into driving through the middle was unmatched

I met Jack Wilshere 3 or 4 times and I spoke to him and he is a nice guy and one of my favourite Arsenal players of all time. ⚽⚽
Great interview .
Excellent conversation Simon
Grew up watching you Super Jack, people will always say “what could’ve been” but I enjoyed every moment you gave us regardless, one of the most naturally gifted ballers I’ve ever seen.
Best Simon Jordan interview Jack is so upfront and doesn’t skirt around answers ❤
When did simon buy crystal palace though. He never talks about it 😂
I can remember watching a video Jack did with Ben Foster talking about his injuries and one doctor said to him when he was about 22-24 and the doctor said are you still playing?
He was a home bird. He should have moved to Italy in 2018. A slower and less intense league would have suited him down to the ground. Warmer climate and relaxed lifestyle as well. Said it himself, going to West Ham was the end of him.
Can’t wait to get to the bottom line and cut out the nonsensth
HAHAHAHA
So I am not the only one who fixates on that.
Hahahaha
Hahhqhhahahh
Jack will forever be my favorite Arsenal player. Yes we have Bergkamp, Titi and co but he was one of our own.
I was so gutted when injuries plundered his career.
Insightful interview.. I don't usually sit for interviews this long, but had to watch this in its entirety. Well worth the hour

this pod is mesmerizing,
Why is no one talking about how Liverpool have just bottled a 5 point lead in the last month.
because they proved they can win big titles
YO CALM DOWN GABI 😂
5 point lead in the beginning of March is nothing, why do arsenal fans seem so desperate to pass on their bottling title 😂
We'll see at the end of the season who has bottled it. I seem to remember Arsenal losing at home to West Ham and away to Fulham when they were in the driving seat. 👀
Because the season is not over yet.
Honestly I thought we had the next world beater watching that Barca game a 19 year old kid dominated the best midfield in world football at the time
Jack's actually a pretty intelligent dude. Always had him down as an absolute thicko. Never judge a book by its cover.
I delivered his sofa to him as i do many football players, i am a die hard gooner but i didn't tell him , his is by far the nicest footballer/ex i have met , so down to earth and normal no ego to him at all not like others i met.

Love this show ❤️ but wish it wasn't sponsored by William Hill
Or presented by Simon Jordan
@ovenreadyradio4045 I didn't like Simon Jordan at the start, but over time, I have changed my mind on the man. He is great at what he does and gets the strong questions asked with quality answers from whoever he is interviewing. He gets under the skin, which is why he is one of the best at giving interviews to all sorts of famous people. I'd say Simon Jordan is arguably a better interviewer than Piers Morgan. Either way, if you don't like Simon Jordan, why would you even be here to put those x5 lazy words together 🤔 hardly even x1 sentence 🤔 lmfao 😂 I'd love to read 📚 a book 📖 if it was written by yourself. It would probably read "Beginning erm middle and end"
🔥🔥🔥👌
Fantastic interview. I could say a million things but I have to mention how much I loved Jack defending the team at the end. To bottle it would mean we fell far short of our expectations and we indeed far exceeded them.
That bit where Jack said he probably didn't realise at the time how much it affected him mentally. All too true. As a teenager, I fractured my wrist playing rugby for my school the day before my district trial. Looking back now, as an adult. That took me a long time to get my head round.
Jack's different style idea is to stay 2 yards away from an opponent at all times.
Confirming what all Arsenal fans suspected all along
Gallas was a prick
yep and proved it when he sat on his arse when the team needed leadership
What a player if he wasn't injury prone
Still a great player with half a leg.

I'm glad he asked those questions. Those years wilshere been thru the decline of the club I have been thinking why why why all the time. It makes sense now. That's harsh reality and I'm glad we are going back up. It's an interesting part of my life too

Absolutely psychotic flex telling someone you bought a club the year they turned 9 and joined academy..

What coz he came through the clubs Academy & won a few FA Cups 😂? If he goes on to progress to manage the first team & does a Bill Shankly or Alex Ferguson job for us by winning a few Prems & CL's, then I'll entertain that idea, but nowhere near legendary status as it stands.
