It’s never any players fault for the price they are sold for, Rice was not the one who valued himself at £105m but he will have to unfairly carry that pressure on his shoulders. I absolutely love the lad mentally. He is a proper old school footballer who will give absolutely everything on the pitch for his team. He's a rare breed in this day and age. Most players join clubs solely for money purposes and nothing else.

For me, Rice must play in midfield in the "Xhaka role", or in a double pivot with Thomas Partey with Odegaard as number 10. A balanced midfielder who is less exposed to counter-attacks.
I think he can also play dm when teams sit deep & we don't need as much defense or I thaught it was very interesting with Partey as a inverted RB just like Zinchenko (if he isn't playing that role on the left)... anyway we have many options now.
I only hope someone steps up when it comes to communication & leadership on the pitch since Xhaka was very influental & underated when it comes to that.
