    Great video, working on my 1990 Ford bronco two! Removed the banjo but did not have the 2 Brass washers for the Bolt ! Wonder if this is normal or somebody before me forgot to put them on Previously?

      Possibly forgot them. I can't believe it didnt leak.

      Also forgot to mention my banjo has a small metal pin sticking up Adjacent to the bolt. Well put my “glasses” on & check again for bolt washers! Thanks👍

      @@ShenValleyTrailCams They don't make them to last, like they used to. Stay away from ceramic pads. They'll warp out anything you install.

    does this service apply to all full size 1980-96 ford f-series and broncos with 4x4?

    • @BOSSC351sProductions
      @BOSSC351sProductions  Před 4 lety

      I do not think it applies to all of them. My 89 F250 had larger brakes so I am sure the F350 is different too. But in general, this is how its done on the F150 and Bronco trucks.

    Good vid. I have rattling brakes due to no knowing about the tabs needing tapped over. But, my inner brake pad (piston side) is also floating and rattling around. Maybe I should bleed them again? Or, is there another reason my pistons aren't keeping the inner pads snug?

    • @BOSSC351sProductions
      @BOSSC351sProductions  Před 8 lety

      The piston should only move in and out. If it wobbles then replace the caliper.

    • @BOSSC351sProductions

      sorry I misread your comment. I believe there is an adhesive type material you can apply.

  • @ucebigblue
    @ucebigblue Před 7 lety

    What spray can are you using?

  • @ohpunj
    @ohpunj Před 6 lety

    All metal-to-metal contact surfaces should have brake grease applied including caliper pins and the backs of pads where piston (whether metal or phenolic) contacts. Also, didn't see the spring clip installed on the bottom of the inboard pad.

    • @BOSSC351sProductions
      @BOSSC351sProductions  Před 4 lety

      You can if you prefer. I have never applied brake grease to any pads. It gathers brake dust and is washed off soon after putting it on especially of you wash your automobile or drive in inclement weather. The caliper pins are pre-greased from the manufacturer. Are you referring to the wear indicator as the spring clip?

      @@BOSSC351sProductions early caliper pads had an anti rattle clip,no one ever puts back,or they brake,.i sell heaps..took me months with my f100 4x4,to find the rattle..you should get rid of that constant drive hub..ive fitted an f100 front diff with locker & d60 rear,to my bronc.those ttb,s are bad..

    Why the heck wouldn't you replace or at a bare minimum replace the rotors? Your brakes will fail after a very short time.

    • @BOSSC351sProductions
      @BOSSC351sProductions  Před 3 lety

      Rotor replacement is not always required and they lasted just fine.

    • @nicholasbrown6481
      @nicholasbrown6481 Před 3 lety

      You're correct that it's not required, but you still need to machine. The Rotors always warp. I've done a million brake jobs and have seen what happens when you don't replace or machine. They always fail.

    • @nicholasbrown6481
      @nicholasbrown6481 Před 3 lety

      If the rotors ate too thin to machine, you run the risk of over extending your calipers. Heat is a major factor

    • @BOSSC351sProductions
      @BOSSC351sProductions  Před 3 lety

      Sorry but that was not the subject behind the video. If you want to turn the rotors on every job then that is up to you. There was no warpage before or afterwards and was not necessary in this case.
