I love this design so much! I hope you do too. I used to crochet pineapple doilies and coasters and tablecloths when I was a little girl and LOVED it!! I took that love and turned it into a modern, fresh, wearable crochet shawl design. Do let me know what you think and see other versions on IG with #adelineshawl and find us there @expressionfiberarts
We used 2 skeins of our Resilient sock yarn in colorway: Mist (blue) and the yellow version shown was made in Saffron. Colors come and go so feel free to ask for those colors if you don't see them in stock!

I've got to share this with you.... I was born in 60's and lived for the crochet doily books and pattern books from 30's or before. I knew there were others like me But never met any. I was am self taught . Certainly loved to hear of your oh so humble beginnings.

My paternal grandmother taught me to crochet when I was 12, and I loved making doilies, too ( she was a brilliant pattern maker, but just in her brain). I am so looking for making this pattern as part of our prayer shawl ministry.

I love working Pineapple patterns...I started crocheting with size 10 thread when I was around 10 years old... my grandma taught me how to make the bottle cap hot mats... crocheting over the bottle caps and then sewing them together to form different shapes. She works use a variegated purple thread and sew them in the shape of a cluster of grapes! I’ve made many pineapple doilies and look forward to making this beautiful shawl! Thank you for the pattern!

Chandi, I am a new in the crochet world, always so much to learn. I have been doing it actually for about six months. I just finished crocheting a beautiful pineapple crochet doily. I did not use a thread, I used gazelle baby cotton yarn, in purple. It is gorgeous. I'm pretty proud of myself. It had 42 rows. I just love everything you show on CZcams, crocheting and knitting. I do not knit (would live to) but I love looking at the designs. I wish every one of your, how to, videos were free. LOL you are a sweetheart and I do love your designs, every single one🥰

I have no idea how old you are - I just turned 60 (HA! How the hell that happened, I have NO IDEA!) - but my maternal grandmother - Audra Qualkinbush - taught me to crochet. The beginning of my CRAFTY life...and I thank God for it EVERY DAY. Firm believer that EVERYONE should do SOMETHING - ANYTHING - of a crafty nature...work with their hands/minds...there’d be a lot less drug use/deaths, I believe - and folks would be a lot happier in this world. All in MHO!
