I always think of butterflies as the souls of our loved ones coming back to visit us. Last summer a butterfly stayed on our backyard fence for hours it didn't even fly away when we came near to it. To this day, no one can tell me that wasn't my sister checking in on us. Thank you for sharing this beautiful pattern with us!

I love this warm hug of a wrap! I can't wait to make it! Butterflies are wonderous creatures! One of my most beautiful memories of homeschooling my children, was when we raised Painted Lady butterflies from tiny black eggs, to larva, to munching-munching-munching caterpillars, to chrysalis, to gorgeous butterflies! We raised them for many generations. It was an amazing experience that moved me to tears.....while the ground outside lay frozen and covered in glistening snow, gorgeous butterflies were being born. And they seemed to know us! We could wear them as pins, or earrings, or rings, or hair doobers. It was an unforgettable lesson that is being carried on with my grandbabies today, as I type this. They still have the same netted house and have raised several 'batches' of the beauties. It all just thrills my heart!

Butterflies to me have always symbolized renewal and beauty and maybe freedom of spirit. I'm allergic to wool and can't express the love I have for a yarn like Moongleam that allows me to experience the beauty of hand dyed yarn without the allergies. Thanks Chandi 🦋

Butterflies always have meant a loved one who has passed, visiting me to say "hi" or letting me know I'm OK and they're thinking of me. Plus they are such a good representation of change and self-evolution - growing and learning through life, and not taking anything for granted.

I have never knitted lace before, but I'm learning to knit right now, and it's definitely on my "to learn" list! This crema sock yarn is simply gorgeous, I wish I could reach through the screen and touch it. I love watching you run it through your fingers. There is so much beauty in the world to enjoy. The laughter of my great-nephews, their excitement over accomplishments, changing seasons, time with friends and family, and learning something new. As someone else noted, our lives are finite. The lives we touch and the memories we make are beauty we leave behind.

Oh. This will be a perfect solution to join some squares i have made C2C that for some reason when I did the single crochet edging I messed up stitch counts. So normal ways I join will be hard. This join I can skip a different number on the back square if needed sometimes and in the big picture it will just blend in.

My mom passed away 5 months ago. She would always say to me that when butterflies follow you around is because they sense you are a good person. These past months have been not the best. I miss her. But when I see butterflies outside my house it reminds me of those beautiful memories with my mom and I remember what she told me. I feel her love for me. I miss her dearly. This is what a butterfly means to me.

I love to watch butterflies in my garden so I try to plant lots of colorful flowers for them. This stitch is so unique and really does look like butterfly wings.

I just started reading "The year of Magical thinking" of Joan Didion, it is a really deep writing that goes directly into the heart and soul... maybe you are wondering why I am writing about a book instead of butterflies, well, that is because the feeling while reading the book made me think about them... butterflies including moths are like beautiful spirits that can make you have a really deep and intense feelings about life, death, nature, everything...

For me, the butterfly is an amazing symbol of growth and renewal. While we may not always know why we go through hard times, those can be the times where we go into our shell and emerge stronger and better than ever. Having time to look into ourselves can be hard to come by, and really scary for a lot of us. But emerging as the butterfly, and spreading our wings can show us how far we have come ❤

The new collection looks as beautiful and delicate as the butterfly. A yellow butterfly signifies a gentle loving memory of our grandson who gained his angel wings at 6 months of age. ❤

The butterfly is such a beautiful representation of the different roles during the course of our lives. In my case, I think of the different phases of my life, as a daughter, a wife, a mother and now a caregiver for my mother. Even if the transition from one role to the other can be bittersweet, they are all beautiful in their own way. Thank you for this wonderful pattern!

Do I have to pay for the downloadable pattern since I’m a larger size? I wish this were an accessible pattern for plus sizes but the free version is only for small sizes.

You didn't show how to do the rows 5 & 11! This pattern isn't working for me! I understand the other rows of the pattern. Yes, my carry overs are on the same side. Just can't get the above 2 rows to look like the pattern in your video. Thank you for any assistance.
