- "This driver drove past all the other drivers and is now trying to merge into the line of standing vehicles to save time. But what this driver definitely didn't expect is the reaction of all the other drivers. It's as if they had all agreed on the same plan, not to let the impatient driver join into the line. So they positioned themselves very close to each other and moved forward slowly, preventing the impatient driver from mergingn, and get served karma."

I was in line crossing back to the US from Tijuana & it can take hours to cross! I let someone cut in front of me. An hour later I had to pull over because I had to pee so badly! So, I got out of the line and drove alongside the left side of the line until someone would let me cross over to the right to pull over & use the restroom. NO ONE would let me cross because they thought I only wanted to cut in line. So, up ahead I saw the car that I had let cut in front of me (he managed to get further up ahead of the line) and HE let me cross over into the restroom AND he let me cut back in line in front of him afterwards! Ever since then, I let at least one person cut in front of me because you never know when you'll need the favor!
Good points made👍
The issue here is that the line was already formed. The narrator says he drove pass all of them. He tried to skip the line. Make him wait.

People trying to cut in line is what leads to the traffic backing up most of the time .
When I was over the road and a driver tried this, a few trucks were blocking him, Trooper stopped them and said if he would have had wrecked, it would be the truckers fault
I live year round in a lake town in upstate N.Y. Every spring and summer there is a huge influx of wealthy people coming in from large cities in neighboring states, who have bought up lakefront property. They're well known for behaving as though rules don't apply to them. They use right turn lanes to speed ahead and cut in front of traffic. Recently one of them, with Ohio plates, attempted to do this and I wouldn't let her. She had a meltdown, screaming and bouncing up and down in her seat cuz she had to get in line behind me. Thwarting her was sweet. 😁
Truckers do this all the time. Some year's ago, my husband and I were on I-20 coming out of Birmingham through construction and a man drove into the median and he was furious because the big truck's were rolling side by side not letting the four wheelers cut everyone off. I looked over and saw a child in it's car seat. That driver was swerving in that median. He risked that baby's life. WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE!!!
A couple of times I noticed it was innocent clueless older people and let them in.😢 reminded me their like family or something. ❤

I get if they are impatient BUT this happened to me once. I didn't know I needed to merge until i got all the way up and this one guy in a truck wouldn't let me merge. Finally, the lady in front of him let me merge. Further up the other lane was open and he was behind me, so I completely stopped and let ALL the other cars merge in that lane to go. He tried to get back over in the other lane to get in front of me and no one would let him get over, so he had to wait for EVERYONE to go HAHAHA. after honking his horn at me a few times and cursing me out, once I started driving again a gave him the middle finger and peeled off. before all of this I was trying to explain to him I didn't know I needed to merge then apologized of course he ignored me. Karma hit him hard that day LOL

This almost never happens in Canada because people would let the driver cut in! Everyone assumes perhaps the driver is unfamiliar with road/visiting from out of town, or even was distracted and missed the chance! Americans are very unforgiving when it comes to these things!
Exactly my point when I commented on a few threads and try to persuade people the right thing to do is to let them join the lane safely.
What people do in this video creates an unsafe situation for their own lane and the other lane.
Keep your emotion in check when driving. Safety is your number one concern. Not your emotion or driving etiquette.
That was my point. This happens in Houston all the time and I have never seen them not let people in. They may not like it. It may be rude if the person is really trying to cut, but being mean is being mean. If a person is trying to cut, they are in the wrong. If people purposely won’t let a car in, they are in the wrong, too. And please do not give your stereotypical label to over 300 MILLION people. It undoes everything you tried to say about Canadians being so nice. There are unkind people everywhere… even in Canada. Here he goes again Gregory to the rescue😂😂😂 protecting that beach entrance🏖️do you sit here and wait for everybody’s comment that doesn’t go with what you agree with just so you could put in your two cents ! Omg ur hysterical
This guy Gregory… if you pay attention to some of the posts, he responds to everybody that has a different opinion than his. It’s freaking comical. It’s hysterical.😂😂 he’s definitely one of those that judges a book by its cover. Oh, and by the way, I’m surprised he didn’t tell you that this was a beach entrance cause he’s sitting here educating everybody that it’s a beach entrance like like we give two freaking shits.😂✌🏼oh wait he did mention the beach entrance 😂😂😂
@@marancyweingilletta7033 two comments in two minutes… I’m educating the ignorant masses. Lots of people don’t understand this road. Several have thanked me for presenting clearer information and details. They think it’s a highway, or a merging lane. God forbid some information be provided to give a clearer picture of the situation. What a 🤡
@@gregoryberg5806 it’s not that you’re educating people about a “beach entrance” It’s the way you’re coming at people because of their personal opinion or that they didn’t answer the question by agree with you. The question is, would you let them in? YES, I would… Some people would.. there’s no need for you to jump on them because they’re saying yes.
Good for the other drivers. I hate it when idiots do this. I will not let them over. I don’t care if they have their blinkers on or not. They aren’t getting in front of me. Period!!!
I do this everyday, don’t let people who cut traffic get in the line, while you have patience, they decide to block the on coming lane.
I APPROVE! This drives me krazy!
Leave your emotion at home when you drive. What concerns you the most when you drive is safety.
@@sunway1374 don’t leave your brain at home. Plan ahead and think. Driving is an active activity, not a passive one.
@@gregoryberg5806I am the one using my thinking brain. You are using your lizard brain. Driving is not an emotional activity.
@@sunway1374 don’t listen to the guy above you. (Greg) He’s doing nothing but attacking everybody’s comments that don’t agree with his. You’re absolutely right a car is a weapon and you’re supposed to drive with safety and you are using your brains by avoiding an accident and letting the person in! don’t worry my parents always taught me don’t spit up in the air because it’s gonna come right back down to hit you in the face…
I have read so many of these commenters and can't believe that there are that many unkind drivers. I rarely drive but when I do i always try to keep my eyes on the signs. If I should miss a sign then end up in the wrong lane THEN I PANIC. i turn on my signal and a kind driver let's me in. Then I wipe the panic sweat off myself and proceed.
If you miss a turn, that is on you. You should then pull over later and try to reroute yourself. Why should I have to let you in when you clearly didn't pay attention? Why should your mistake be something I rectify on the road??? If you were talking about needing life saving surgery and didn't have the funds, I get that and we all should help you ruin that. But this???? No. You are in your own
Key words here are you rarely drive. Your experience and knowledge with these circumstances is limited. It's easy to pass judgement when you're not the one in the ring every day.
@@MrRotterBoy That's absolutely stupid. You don't own the road. Just let people merge. Grow up. You are an absolute toddler. Honestly, you shouldn't have a license if you have that low of emotional intelligence
I agree with you, It’s not that serious to block someone from getting in front of you. What’s gonna happen, You wait another car behind?
Heck no! I always tell them they better have good insurance if they hit me! 😂😂😂
I would. Lessens stress - driving is stressful enough - and keeps traffic moving.
Black SUV does not look like the impatient driver. It actually looks like a row of impatient drivers on the SHOULDER of the road, which is illegal except for when a vehicle has broken down. I see this crap all the time in the Bay Area, and it is usually because people are too impatient to wait for an exit, so they clog up the shoulder of the highway because they want to take an off-ramp that is half a mile away.
Wrong! It’s a right turn lane to enter a beach parking lot. I live less than a mile from there.
So they’d rather put at risk the other drivers using the next lane. What if he is unfamiliar with the area and genuinely missed his turning? Two people behaving like idiots will not make a right.
Then you go to the next exit and call it an unlucky break. Most of the people who merge at the very last second (to the point where it's illegal seeing how there's a solid line) do it because they are entitled and think they can push everyone else around
@@richards.3803 what about those situations where you’re really trying to get in and no one’s letting you in because they’re being assholes. And I mean this in a legitimate way. Not arguing with you at all. How many times have you tried to get into a lane the right way and’s you’re patiently waiting your turn and no one’s letting you in now the next person doesn’t wanna let you in either and the next person doesn’t wanna let you in because everyone isn’t letting you in… what are you supposed to do. All many ppl are trying to say is that we can’t assume that that’s what this particular video is about. The person could’ve been elderly or somebody’s parent or child who is having trouble getting in or merging and the people behind the other cars are just assuming that they’re cutting.
then they can go to the next exit, people. Has common sense gone out the window? It's not a matter of life and death
Then they can do to the next exit stops MF ..
If I've got to sit and wait patiently, then so do you!
Absolutely. We agree with the actions of ALL the other drivers. Tell that sneaky buzzard to wait his turn like everyone else.
Good for them. The reality of this video is that I see this far too often, pretty much daily. Really grinds my gears 😠 ....
Hell no on letting him in
It’s called zipper merging and it is quicker for everyone if everyone merged as they drive rather than getting in one huge long line. It’s been advertised here as the “new” was to merge. So, yes, I’d let him in.
The most efficient way to keep traffic moving is to merge near the point where you have to merge. The impatient drive is actually doing things in a way that gets everyone moving faster overall. The people not letting them in are holding up progress
It's called a zipper merge it works.
I hate when people do that. They are so just respectful and all about themselves. Good move people I live in San Diego and I see the same people on the same freeway doing the same thing every single day
Every driver needs to know and understand the zipper merge. Eliminates aggravation and anger.
No, I would not let him/her in. This crap happens all of the time in NYC. I see them driving past the turning lane where at least 10 other drivers are waiting to turn and cut someone off towards the front. They should get a ticket every time. I hope they never let them in. Lesson learned.
These are my kind of folks 😊. I hate it when people zoom up to the front and then expect someone to let them in....
During construction you are supposed to use both lanes and zipper in at the end.
In a perfect world, but too many of us have seen the boorish behavior of some of the *SS hats and respond accordingly.
This isn’t construction, though. It’s a right turn lane to enter a beach parking lot.
And the person entering the lane has to legally wait for a space when its safe to merge. The continuing lane users have no requirement to let anyone merge.
Yes how do we know the why reason this car is trying to find a spot in line.
We don't. If you are not familiar with the road and missed the exit, its not the end of the world. You just keep driving untill the next exit and follow your route from there.
It does not, I repeat, IT DOES NOT give you the right to try and merge with other cars who were waiting for 20 minutes in line because YOU missed an exit. And not only that you fcking stop in the middle of an highway were people are driving 100 km/h!!
DANGEROUS and FCKING SELFISH.
Everyday at rush hour, this kind of stuff happens around here. But sometimes, you have that random person that just allows the jerk that passed everyone in.
Hell no!!! My husband is an excellent driver and I never say anything to him about driving and dont tell him what to do when driving (or about anything else for that matter) but I have told him he is NOT to ever let in an a-hole like this while I'm in the car!
However frustrating it is, it happens on purpose or by accident. Letting the car merge is the overall better choice for everybody's safety, especially for traffic on the lane he's getting off of.
No one cares. Learn how not to drive like an idiot and you won't be treated like an idiot
@@sunway1374people make cutting in their regular routine while driving, because there’s always someone like you that will let them in.
Hah… the person in the van should have taken the loss and moved on. People like you are why people will try cutting in. There’s almost one softy that will let them do it.
Absolutely correct
Some crazy woman tried doing this on Rt. 128 in MA usa- she cut from fast lane across 4 lanes and stopped in lane next to the backed up traffic getting off at exit. I was driving a tractor trailer so she had stopped in my travel lane! I had slowed before hand knowing this exit was an issue, but then I slammed on my brakes and blew air horn at same time! She moved just in time to keep from being a speed bump....
Entitled crappy drivers causing major CF on roads.
*If I see someone from out of state, I may let them in if it is due to sucky signs not giving information to drivers far enough back, so they can plan exit. But most of the time it is a$$wipes ignoring merge signs in construction zones etc. Dangerous and stupid.
Don't get me going 128 I live up here. I drove a truck my wife and I plowed me 34 years her 25 years. People think there above the trucks or anyone else
You sound like a toddler
In simple words: if they gave that car a space to go in, they'd help in the overall situation causing traffic, but it shows that some people see blocking another person is disrespectful, and others see it as a generous act towards others. Be generous and honorable never be a weak version of what GOD wants you to be.
The merging driver, has a sense of ENTITLEMENT!!!!!!! It happens ALL THE TIME. The ENTITLED DRIVER SAW THE SAME SIGN, BUT STILL EXPECTED TO BE REWARDED.
