    Thank you for the information. I have been looking into an aluminum radiator for my 1964 Ford f250 with a 292 V8. So this is timely.

    Wish i had seen this earlier, bit i bought an Aluminum radiator on Amazon made by primecooling for my sons k10. So far it has good looking welds and is cooling fine, but we're heading into summer in the south so we'll see how it handles stress. Fingers crossed...

    To be fair I have an 04 yukon with the og radiator, plastic tanks and all, still good 20 years later, I bought a gpi all aluminum one, if it leaks I will go straight back to oem..

      I just hit 22 years on my oem nissan radiator in my 2002 supercharged frontier. It just blew the other day, leaking at the top seam where the aluminum little clamp things clamp over the plastic tank.
      I guess it was it's time, Its the oldest radiator I've seen in any of my vehicles. It had a good long life and still got us an hour home after I let it cool down and added a half gallon or so of water.
      Now I'm debating a ebay 130-150$ full aluminum radiator.
      I already bought a 200$ plastic oem duralast replacement (most expensive plastic radiator I've ever seen). Havnt put it in yet though..
      Both this plastic single row and the ebay 2 row aluminum are 1.6 inches thick at the core..
      😅 something tells me it would be smarter to install the plastic duralast..

    A lot of leaks around the tank is bad but whats worse is when you get a tube to header leak probably due to the poor brazing processes that manufacturers use

    Did you have to use those two piece adapters for the transmission fluid warmer fittings in the bottom tank? My '05 has quick couplers but the radiator has inverted flare fittings instead.

    How has the Mishimoto held up? I'm seeing mixed reviews regarding leaks on those too. Griffin has mixed reviews as well. I'm starting to think it's the aluminum construction that's problematic.

      The 2nd mishimoto is perfect, The amazon and 1st mish leaked in the same spot and yes its a aluminum core connection issue on all of them I repaired the Amazon and 1st Mish these companies don't take them back they just send new At least I can say Mish was fast on sending a replacement from complaint to at door 5 days I,m over 2800 miles from them

    I just got burned on ebay. Supposed to be stainless exhaust parts. Turned out to be aluminized mild steel. I am still very upset.

    Some of these Chinese companies know they’re throwing cheap crap out there, then they’ll switch names and keep throwing out their crap. Seen it in vape hardware too. Some of the companies are pretty good, it’s just find out which ones they are. 😂😂

    Amazon is now selling EnginCool. I'm guessing they changed their name, as the Blitech name is probably ruined. Your opinion?

    I know Amazon offers additional extended "years" warranty. Is the additional warranty worth it?

    • @CUSTOMWORKS7.3PSD
      @CUSTOMWORKS7.3PSD  Před rokem

      I'm bias sorry I hate extended warranties By the time you have a issue the warranty is usually over and if its in the period trying to get it handled is very difficult I would imagine Amazon would be the best extended warranty purchase because if Amazon gets bad companies in there selling system they release them from Amazon sales and these companies know this So they deliver

    • @Clyffcarlock1
      @Clyffcarlock1 Před rokem

      @@CUSTOMWORKS7.3PSD Yeah, that is what I meant by extended warranty from Amazon. But, the extended warranty you buy from Amazon really isn't from Amazon but a third party warranty entity, namely Allstate. They are related to Square somehow. That kinda takes the liability off of Amazon while still allowing the "fishy"" Chinese companies to continue to sell and offer inferior products on Amazon while Amazon continues to profit. I really have not had to use Allstate from the extended warranties I have purchased from them, but I hope the process will be more trouble free than through the warranty from the Chinese company.

      I’ve seen mixed reviews. Seems to be not the worst and radiator express sells and warrantees them. I bought one and have had it for a week. Fits great, looks really nice quality, we’ll see how it lasts.
