It’s pretty obvious that there’s an invisible map or a clue on the back of the painting and one of the two parties in search of the treasure shredded the painting so that the other party could not purchase it. Classic Uncharted storyline. Cmon guys, get with the program.
Okay so there is a video game series called Dragon Age. In one of the games and character offers to sell you something for a ridiculous amount of money under the condition that you don't get to know what it is before purchase. The thing he sells is not the object but the prestige one will obtain by being able to purchase this incredibly expensive one of a kind thing. That's what this is.
The painting will be worth more shredded, in fact just seeing the painting on the commentators background it's obvious that the "girl with the ballon", painting's main subject of intent is the separation between the two subjects in different medias, abstract or plainly by painting it in different canvas. Notice how the shredder stoped halfway? Why would it stop precisely on the same area of separation that the commentators left background painting also is separated at? See my point? This disconnect of subjects girl/ballon was done real time while all eyes watched. Brilliant! I think the trolling is more along the lines of how long it's gonna take the mainstream media to understand that just like the last stroke of a brush on an oil masterpiece is required to finish the painting the shredding halfway was indeed the finishing touch.
Did anyone know that after that another artist did that, but he made no money because he only did that for money, but Banksy did it because shredding it had a meaning to it

@Roger Wilco okay you are not triggered Muahahaha!🤣🤣🤣🤣
@Roger Wilco 🤣🤣🤣🤣 you are making my day angry Snowflake. Cacalifornia is becoming a shithole many people leaving in tents many people leaving Ca california and coming to Texas explain me why if Cacalifonia is too great ?
So basically Santa Claus doesn't exist?? :( OMG, my childhood ruined cuz of Banksy
That’s what all modern Art should become.
Imagine what it’s worth now! Double or triple what it sold for, the buyer is stoked!
Awesome. Legendary. Epic.
It’s pretty obvious that there’s an invisible map or a clue on the back of the painting and one of the two parties in search of the treasure shredded the painting so that the other party could not purchase it. Classic Uncharted storyline. Cmon guys, get with the program.
Its value skyrocketed the second it began to self-destruct.
0:30 - 0:37 Wow, now that is impeccable phrasing. That's america baby!
The girl is the person who bid on the painting and the balloon is the painting. Amazing. Anyone catch on to that?
The painting’s probably going to be worth even more now.
sorry for my ignorance but how the battery last that much and how bansky activate it
Okay so there is a video game series called Dragon Age. In one of the games and character offers to sell you something for a ridiculous amount of money under the condition that you don't get to know what it is before purchase. The thing he sells is not the object but the prestige one will obtain by being able to purchase this incredibly expensive one of a kind thing.
That's what this is.
I just learned the meaning of art for art.
now that was art!
That’s not art is evil and that’s what he is creating. Art is love
Love banksy, never disappoints
He was in the room and pressed the key to start that
The buyer of that painting made more money in 20 seconds, than you or I will make in 20 years.
A bit ironic that the message of how can this be worth millions only contributes to it's value.
At least he didn't use a cross cut shredder.. Definitely gonna be worth now
The painting will be worth more shredded, in fact just seeing the painting on the commentators background it's obvious that the "girl with the ballon", painting's main subject of intent is the separation between the two subjects in different medias, abstract or plainly by painting it in different canvas.
Did anyone know that after that another artist did that, but he made no money because he only did that for money, but Banksy did it because shredding it had a meaning to it
Safe to assume Banksy bidded the price up knowing the sale would be nullified.
"ah! I got this painting, all 50 stripes of it!"
Love it. ❤️
That reminds me of Duchamps when he became famous just by drawing a moustache and beard on Mona Lisa.
*The world needed this!* And the rich get richer, because that artwork already became history, and that can be far more expensive than talent. But this also shows artistic talent, although a bit obscure by the nature of it.
You can totally see the auctioneer hit a button on the platform.
Don't forget on October 13 is our second annual for Period awareness day! We wear red clothes or accessories. This is from me to the world of women, love you!
Should have been a claymore not a shredder.
*Banksy is such a troll.... I love it*
love how he trolls the auction est
