🤔 ABOUT LOCATION REBEL 👇
For the past 13 years at www.locationrebel.com I've taught people just like you how to build a lifestyle business and become a digital nomad. There are a lot of ways we do this depending on your goals, skills and interests, but some of the most common businesses are built around freelance writing, niche sites, affiliate marketing and blogging.
Our primary goal is to help you get to the point where you're making $3-5k a month as quickly as possible, because after that? You have options.
My name is Sean Ogle, and I'm the founder of Location Rebel. I'm a location-independent entrepreneur from Portland, Oregon and I travel 3-4 months out of the year and take my business with me wherever I go. On this channel you'll learn exactly how to build a similar business and do it from some pretty sweet destinations as well.

hi Sean I wanna say you are really a PEARL IN THE OYSTER! Despite little background noise you have brought so many secrets open that were deliberately kept secret by the people in the industry and I don't know why? your selfless and sincere effort is really praiseworthy.
haha thank you! And yeah I knew there might be some issues with background noise on this one, but decided it was worth it for the change of scenery :)
Always a pleasure to watch your videos.
There's nothing better than a long walk on a beach! Glad you're enjoying your Australian vacation, and thanks for sharing some good tips about writing samples along the way.
This is EXACTLY what I needed today. I've been struggling with building a sample portfolio to finally break away from the grind.
Sean you secret is you are honest and hold back any information... Great quote.. Digital ink doesn't dry!
I just found you and all I can think of is "I've been scared for nothing"! I'm really gonna give this a go.
Thank you, am at this stage right now.
Thanks a whole lot for the heads up, Sean. You rock!
Great content! Thanks for sharing the secret of how to easily lay outline or table of content❤
Thank you! Hope you had a blessed vacation.
Thank you for clarifying everything. And, for the beach view, too. Beautiful setting. 👍
I am learning so much from you. Thank you so much!
This is simply gold! Thanks, Sean!!
Hey Sean! This is seriously the template I've been searching for to help me narrow down the layout and content for my new writing portfolio. Thanks! ☕
I honestly need to go back to the schedule for the dream work day that I wrote down forever and a half ago when I did the six day course and see if that's something I can work into my average work week NOW, even if it's just so I can wake up and start to transition out of fast food and into freelancing and possibly another job. Eating the food at work probably doesn't help either 😆
Thank you so much.tbis was really helpful. Love from Nigeria 🇳🇬 ❤
Really great information. Just simplified what I was trying to do over a long period time. Thank you Sean

Hi, Sean! After watching your videos, I got beyond the starter insights based on my needs. I can feel how sincere you are for helping people to get their butts off of their sofas to make an exact action that seems so doable as well.
Thank you! I wish you extra miles for all your good! 😊
Wow, I'm jealous! These are great vids
Seems like great advice.
Waooo. Thanks alot I got value here.
Interesting!
The best..
Hi Sean, thank you for this very informative video!
I was wondering your opinions on writing samples for "imaginary clients" in different niches and add those to my writing portfolio. Would that work in terms of providing related samples in a job application?
Thanks so much for this. I would like to ask: Where should the writing samples be placed on the "writing website" or portfolio website? Is it at the Blog section, the About Me section, or the Samples section?
👏👏👏
I might be dumb but is there a difference between freelance copywriting and just copywriting? Or no
When I create writing samples, how should I create it so that it is appealing for a potential client?
I'm still confused about why clients wouldnt just cut out the middle man and use chatgpt directly? Or even if they dont do it themselves, wont that just devalue our work and make them less inclined to pay good rates, or just find someone that will do it for a lot cheaper with chatgpt? I dont know, I feel this doesnt bode well for us.
Because its writing isn't that great, at least yet. A good copywriter definitely has a more compelling style. They'd still need to hire an editor/proofreader which is basically what your writer is anyway. ChatGPT is great for brainstorming and vocabulary and some other things, but not a whole lot else. Content mills are banning people that use AI to generate articles.
My samples are generally 500-700 words. I’m wondering how I get specific enough to write a 1500-3000 word article without getting boring and redundant.
If it is something you are very interested in, by doing the research etc you might find it hard to not do more words. I did a course a few years ago, and some of the topics were really interesting to me and I found it much easier to find the right words etc if that helps. I realise coursework is not the same, however if something generally interests you, it will show in the way you write it............. that is my thoughts anyway.
@@realreviews4017 thank you
@@wheelsnwarriors7166 there's always more you can say that's interesting, you just need to find it. With value comes words
@@d1ssolv3r thank you
It seems to me the ultimate guide to do anything or the 10 steps to do something is basically all over CZcams. Why would anybody want to pay for that kind of written content?
Yeah and everyone makes iceberg content and you know why? People watch it. People watch ultimate guides because they feel like it will cover everything
