    Ordered one in May 21 and not even a phone call. Not shipping because of integrated circuit (IC) shortage.
    Dealer is scrambling for cars.

    • @MGReviewsBlog
      @MGReviewsBlog  Před 3 lety

      Sorry to hear that. I thought Mercedes-Benz was in a better position than other manufacturers when it came to the chip shortage. Hopefully that gets resolved quickly so that you can enjoy your GLE!

    Did anyone recently purchased or leased a 450? If so how much above MSRP ? Seems like an additional market markup is unavoidable in most large cities..

    • @MGReviewsBlog
      @MGReviewsBlog  Před 2 lety +1

      Unfortunately it seems like a lot of manufacturers have above asking MSRP prices, it's not just Mercedes-Benz.

    • @haroldlee6923
      @haroldlee6923 Před 2 lety

      @@MGReviewsBlog may I ask ur opinion since ur the pro here, what would u believe is a reasonable amount to ask to pay above msrp, I’ve built one to 80k and change, I’ve been led to believe 5 to 10k above msrp is reasonable during this particular period of time?

    • @MGReviewsBlog
      @MGReviewsBlog  Před 2 lety +2

      @@haroldlee6923 I think $10,000 over msrp is way too much even for a luxury SUV. $3,000 to $6,000 is a little bit more reasonable but try to shop around your area at different dealerships and compare prices. Both among the different dealerships for similar vehicles but also compared to the msrp and see which dealership has a higher markup.
      One tip I can give you is to try and make the purchase on the last or second to last day of a month. Sales managers will have targets to reach for the month and would be willing to get you a better deal if they're short on their targets. Also between December and March are usually the slowest months for sales so they may be more inclined to give better deals.
      Overall though, if you can wait a bit longer before needing to purchase a new or used vehicle, that would be the best advice. Right now there's high demand with low inventory due to the chip shortage so that's why a lot of manufacturers and dealerships have preposterous markups on their vehicles. It is getting better but I think it'll still be half a year to a year before things get back to a more normal time.

    Bro is there a special variant for that bouncy thing?

    • @MGReviewsBlog
      @MGReviewsBlog  Před 3 lety

      It's a stand alone option that is available for the GLE 450. Quite expensive though :/

      @@MGReviewsBlog is it part of the air ride suspension option?

    • @MGReviewsBlog
      @MGReviewsBlog  Před 3 lety +1

      @@ayonsaha7963 In Canada, yes, it is paired with the air suspension option. In the United States, it unfortunately is no longer available on the GLE. Only the GLS 580 & Maybach have the E-Active Body control option.

    Why does the GLE 450 bob and bounce so much?

    • @MGReviewsBlog
      @MGReviewsBlog  Před 3 lety +1

      It's part of the E-Active Body Control. It's a feature that was designed to be used when the car is stuck in deep and soft sand or snow. Or if you just want to show off to your friends haha.
