You guys are very lucky. I saw two shows in Atlanta about a month later, and a third at Winterland in San Francisco on 12/15/1978. My memory of these shows has faded. How lucky we are to have the Internet and CZcams. Otherwise, those lucky enough to have experienced these magnificent concerts would be the only ones to have even fading memories of them. Rock doesn't come across well on TV. It's best live and LOUD. Still, these videos provide hints of what some of Rock history's greatest moments were like. And make no mistake. Bruce Springsteen in 1978 produced some of the best rock & roll that's ever been or ever likely to be.
I watched this and realize I'm smiling ear-to-ear. Clarence blowing that sax like it's nuthin' I saw them play this show in '78 at the Capital Center. I've seen a thousand rock shows since then, nothing else out there has ever compared to Bruce and the ESB, not even close.
The Capital Theater! Didn't get a ticket to this one! The Capital shows I did see would wow you! The best stories from getting tickets, parking, walking and scalping! Love my NJ!!!
He was still broke for years after this tour- in debt actually. Didn't own a home and never owned a new car till 1984 or so. He could have made many millions by selling videos of this show during concerts along side the T shirts, etc. that concert goers bought.
Everytime I listen to the music, it's always like the 1st time, I get discouraged by his political views, sometimes but, damn I, can't say anything about it, he's the boss, I don't care what anybody says!

It is a sexy song. I loved this Girl. Long hair falling. She wanted to be friends. Later she wanted to be more. Before that happened, she was killed in a crash. All this happened over 20+ years. What could have been.

He did 3 shows in a row at that theatre- two were videotaped and one of those two was broadcast live on the radio.
I was fortunate to have great seats for two of the shows. I could walk to the Capitol from the house I grew up in.....
