- Once we were WILD AND INNOCENT, "singing" about an INCIDENT ON 57TH STREET and completely lost for our own ROSALITA... 20 minutes breathless...
But we are GUILTY 'cause we weren't there at that time... - Hudba
1978. Think about that. What an incredible amount of talent this man has and the band has given to the world. So young then and so consistent. over these years.
the 7th day was born Bruce Springsteen, to relieve our ills! Thank you for this long road by our side!
As good as it gets!!!!!! Shakes the walls down!!!!!
Damn it….my heart.
❤️
There is no other artist in history that could do a twenty minute version of a song and keep it as good as Bruce does.
Sad eyed lady of the lowlands
Wow wow and wow I can’t even! Absolutely transcendent!
My sisters were onto Bruce way early. They played this album until you could see through it. They were at this concert. We grew up in Freehold, NJ, like Bruce. I live by Asbury Park. This album is my favorite. Never gets old.
MY sister lives in Ocean Grove B2B w A Park & I've known Bruce is the KING of ROCK for 40 yrs
❤️
How l love these glimpses of young Bruce’s early career. Far more long guitar solos than nowadays. Thanks for posting.❤❤❤❤❤
Music does not get better than this, ever.
One man's opinion: best song in the history of western civilization. emotion, choices, love, life. Beauty. I have tears in my eyes every time I hear this song...
I’m ok with that
No argument here, my friend.
Can’t argue with you on that
@@edcampbell6164 By coincidence, I was watching again it an hour ago!
Certainly one of his best - if not the best .
Palladium ! NYC ! 11-4 76 ! My Birthday , Thanks to All !! Love !!
My favorite Bruce song which I always thought could have been a perfect fit for Westside Story! Classic song, and brilliant performance.
This song became my favorite on this album over time; not at first though. First there was Rosie. This album is a masterpiece. I can't tell you how many X I listened to this song while going for jogs for about 2 years during the pandemic, while going thru a difficult divorce and later a breakup with my then G-friend who was my best friend. The song sustained me in many ways and the story never grows tired or gets old.
Same
Wasn't my first choice as well... over time this is easily in my top 5 of all Springteen songs up to current day
thoughtful take--it grows into you.
I had heard that this show was going to be broadcast on FM radio stations.
I had a friend, Gary Marine, who had a decent cassette recorder and a stereo system.
He lived in Cedar Run, south Jersey, right off rte 9!
I skipped night Real estate school, and recorded the whole Passaic gig
It appeared as a 3 album bootleg the next year!
Thanks Bruce, FM radio, and Gary Marine!
Same here. Next to my quadraphonic stereo system, and Harmon Kardin cassette recorder. Still have those tapes today, along with other broadcasts such as Southside Johnny Convention Hall, and Billy Joel at My Father's Place, L.I.
It was the first night, 9/19, that was broadcast on WNEW-FM. I still have the cassettes, although one of them is all discombobulated. This show was the second night of three. I had 10th row center and it was my first Springsteen show.
prof roy and the unsung e st. heroes
The most amazing thing is that more than 30 years later at Madison Square Garden, he performed these songs back to back, just like on the record, and it was just as good or better than in 1978!
Bruce is the one who can rock from 1973 thru 2023.
I start listening Bruce the boss n 1975 n Greenwich Connecticut at my sr year high school 😮
The best second side in rock history - the W&I is top Boss
BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN GENIUSZ GENIUSZ GENIUSZ nad GENIUSZAMI KOSMOS KOCHANI na zawsze dziękuję BARDZO

GREETINGS FROM TRANI SOUTH ITALY EAST COAST MEDITERR
Danny was the E Street Band. That organ is heaven...
The classic Hammond C3 organ I believe. Danny the catalyst of the the E Street Band. Sorely missed.
His accordion playing made me cry
I wore my album out in the 70s,
Then wore 2 Cassettes of it out,
Had the cd playing in my car for an entire year, Still love the entire disc from start to finish.
I've gotten old, but this album is forever new!
If I could ask Bruce one thing, it would be how does it feel to know that you made out of all the incredible music over the decades you've given the world, that nearly 50yrs later you gave us 2 albums back to back (The Wild, The Innocent & Born To Run) that are quite possibly THE MOST perfect ever made. 2 in a row and they've never aged, not one single day virtually 50yrs on. So much so that even now in the 21st century they're still blowing new listeners away, not just fans, but just people who've never heard them before!!! How does that feel Mr Springsteen???? ✊🤘❤️💖
You gotta include Darkness on the Edge of Town as the best back-to-back-to-back
@@MM-xi5ey oh definitely a hat trick of perfect Bruce!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍❤️💋🦦🇦🇺
this rocks me to my soul like no other- Bruce -simply amazing ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
je défaille de plaisir - I faint with pleasure
I saw them at the Spectrum a few weeks before this show and sing/shouting TRAMPS LIKE US BABY WE WERE BORN TO RUN in unison with 20k other people was a crowning moment in my just-graduated-high-school life. Damn was that a great show. (No Incident on 57th, alas..)
Recently saw some new uploaded footage of mr. Springsteen were a stage lite hit the back of his body, showed what could be a possible hair thinning issue, while wearing some laced up work boots. These two classics are what keep me from pulling my hair out. Thank you once again LEGANDARY E STREET BAND........
This guys is called 'The Boss' for a reason!
So glad i saw them back then.
Man, did just watching the Big Man stroll around the stage lift my heart up, or what?
I'm in Australia and I've seen Bruce seven times here, I so hope I can get to eight or nine.
I remember seeing the E-Street Band in 1978 in San Antonio. Everyone was standing and dancing on their seats. Tickets were $8.00, the music was loud, and everyone had a good time. It was a wonderful memory. Thanks for bringing it back.
Saw him at The Palldium Theater, N.Y.C. in 1978. Best show ever. Four hours. Four encores. The last one he lured people back to their seats, claiming..."Where's everyone going. You want one more?" Proceeded to play Raise Your Hand.
I saw him in '78 awesome. As far as ticket prices, 1983, Waysted, Mötley Crüe and Ozzy.. $12 for 2nd row center. These prices now are fucked.
this is one of the coolest things i've seen in my entire life. holy ****
His bandmates musta constantly been like "Damn, these songs are awesome!"
Wow man, I love this performance!!!
I love how this builds from tender and quiet to sheer joy at the end. The play between Bruce and Clarence is wonderful. Thank you for posting this.
Stupenda
Takes me back to college days.
Those were our "GLORY DAYS", Tom...
Yeah, me too. Unfortunately, back in those days I was hanging with a couple of young women and any time I tried to play any song I was really into, they'd just sniff and say "That doesn't sound like the Grateful Dead!" Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the Dead too, but there's only BOSS!!! 😅
Classic performance, thanks for sharing, vintage Bruce and the interplay with Clarence is brilliant
What a classic.......
Fortunate to have seen this tour. An education in Rock 'n Roll
@philipi: Along with “Jungleland” and “Backstreets”-what I’ve always thought of as his Urban Trilogy. I still get chills whenever I hear “Incident”.
Imposible definirla con palabras....con ésta melodía se puede rozar lo indescriptible.....❤️❤️❤️❤️☀️😍😍😍😍🙏🙏🙏🙏
like a cool Romeo....
and like a late Juliet....
wow really? beautiful sweet lyrics
July '75. I was there, too.
Looks like not many post on Google much, these days, or many haven't heard these songs lately!! Such incredibly excellent songs I've just heard, like "wow" way back when & still now, always incredible Bruce!! Now "Rosalita" is starting, truly amazing this tune is!!!
Brilliant quality after all these years. My bootleg WNEW-FM broadcast on my Maxell tapes. Still got 'em today!
The best show was the night before.
What i DON'tunderstand is that back in those days A concert can go on for 6hrs butnot in this day and age it is a true story IWAS THERE
@Andrew -bd8cb Only 10 yrs. later, yes, it’s 22:10 but it’s the best medley ever, when Bruce did “Incident/and Rosie” together. 22:10 of pure heaven.
So use it Rosie: That’s what it’s there for!
Yeah, he doesn’t bother to say that line because he’s away from the mic. No matter, this is as close to perfection as a performance can get. How can you not get emotional watching the chemistry between Bruce and Clarence?
great videos, my gawd
es lo maximo me lleba ala estratosferaaaaaaa
little did we know back then that clearance was as talented as the /or his BOSS
Augusta, Maine 1978
..........
This tour could have been appropriately named
"This is ME "
Virtuoso!!
The best boss
Neznám 👌
wow
now bruce has it
@MrLatiguillo q pasada ...es unna bomba
I saw Bruce at Carter Barron amphitheatre ("75 "76 ?) before he released Born To Run. WHFS in Bethesda MD had a studio release of BTR which included the track Fire which was covered by the Pointer Sisters before Bruce release his version.
I enjoyed the early years when he did more playing and singing rather than putting on a display of dancing and jumping around. However, he will give you a three hours of Rock 'n' Roll. You won't see any country bands cover his music.
Kick ass
Tonedeaf Little Steven...
Obie in the front row!
In 1978 we were still doing black and white? Rock and roll video always seems to be 10 years behind the times.
The heavy set woman with the glasses in the front row worked for Bruce in some capacity. I forget her name.
Obie! Was a cook for Bruce in those early days. Bruce had 2 tickets for her set aside for her at every show he did back in the ‘70’s…front row, dead center.
I was lucky enough to have tickets right next to her for the opening night show at the stand at the Palladium in NYC in October, 1976!
🎧
Why does anybody else even try? Must be so demoralizing for them
I think he must've broke a string or got out of tune or something. About the 8:15 point he takes off his guitar, goes offstage for a few seconds and comes back with a different guitar. I wonder what's up with that...
I was there, he broke a string. I think he also broke a string again during Rosey. He switches back to the Esquire during the hey, hey hey, part at the end. You can see him try to plug the guitar back in. Funny stuff.
Changed guitar for his solo ending of Incident on 57th Street. You could see him calling an audible to the band to take over at that point.
Yup. Doesn’t miss a beat.
i hope this song will never end until i'm asleep :)
Jersey
Altri tempi ???
:)
At eight minute audience bored or drugged?
@rosso1954
is this late 1978?
September 20, 1978.
Well, September the 20th is pretty late into 1978.
There are people sitting down at the front of the stage. Were they completely unaffected by what they were witnessing? How can you watch this and stay seated? We live in avery strange world sometimes.
I was thinking the same thing .... How could they sit there and not get the hell up and dance?
@@timoconnor8520 because back then, people had respect for the fans behind them
Agree. What the hell were they doing there! Wasted tickets!
Great version but look at the crowd during Incident! Totally lame! Unbelievable!
bruce has a zit
This guy died around the time he put out Born in usa, playing 60,000 seat arenas, & then went to GA seats, (standing squished) charging over $100 for tix & hopped on obamas band wagon. HOW ABOUT RE DISTRIBUTING YOUR WEALT YOU MADE OFF THE REAL FANS & PLAY A WEEK FOR FREE A MSG. You COULD DO IT.WRITE IT OFF & I'll tell you how to pull it off so no scumbag scalpers could make a dime & the real fans, the ones who MADE YOU back at the Bottom Line, could get a chance to see you & maybe you could apologize for letting MONEY rule you rather than fans.
Frank Footer Finally someone said it.
I sorta feel the same but I still love Bruce
