It was great to hear this again. In the early 80s I acquired a bootleg picture disc with random cuts. This song was one them. Only it has some weird echo applied to the recording, when the "percussion solo" kicked in. Still have that album in the closet behind me. No gear to play it on. My how the times have changed. Thanks for sharing. If only waited 35 years, look at the money I could have saved. :)
@@robertshea4652 I went to the Stone Pony and other Asbury Park clubs on a regular basis back in the day. Her brother was a member of THE Z BAND. She frequently sang with them (Sans all makeup) This was before 84/Born in the USA gig. That "handle" was told to me by members of the JUKES, Cats on a Smooth Surface etc
Who are talking about?-- the girl in the photo on the leader for this video? That's not Karen, it's Diane, his girlfriend at the time (although gone shortly after this).
Never heard this before! Awesome
One of the most exciting songs I’d ever heard when I first heard this. Bruce is a genius!!
Simply, heartfelt, soulful, fantastically!!

I love this! Thanks!

Hysterical treasure 🎉
I believe this is from a Texas radio show.
Tnx D.L.

She married Todd Rundgren. Bruce settled for "Parking Lot Patti" instead
never heard that name for Patti before, is there a story behind that? or just an insult?
