And you know... well done.. you absolute melt..... a living gobshite telling a living legend how to entertain and perform...... crawl back in under your rock
Both Bruce and Neil are among the greatest songwriters and live performers ever! He had to be a treat to perform with the greatest Band ever - The E Street Band!
This is unreal, amazing, fantastic version WOW just blew me away like a hurricane...Look at the pleasure of Bruce , in his face, playing with Neil the Legend
How on earth could anyone NOT love this performance?? As EXPLOSIVE as Jimi Hendrix, Phenomenal Combined Talent!! The Energy seems to burst into flame. I don't see how anyone could watch this video and not feel a natural HIGH!!
You are perceptive and correct. I like Bruce; I love Neil. Simple chords put together well. And, played gritty for a transcend effect. Absolutely love the jazz sense of the players taking turns to riff and build it up. Great instrumental and lyrical explorations. "Two riders were approaching"
this performance is so free and alive, feels like rock-n-roll heaven! and the people in the front rows, can u imagine what this was like up close? my favorite performance with Neil and Bruce,a legendary moment in time!
Neil Young is Amazing....I've been listening to him for years and the thing is: He seems to be so laid-back, so easy-going, so cool......but then he straps on his guitar and look at the FUCKIN' ROCKIN' ENERGY he creates ! I love him.
I asked a guy holding his friends guitar in front of Trader Joe's last night who his favorite guitar player was. He said, "Neil Young" and I paused and thought, good choice.
Actually. Some of the best guitarist have made statements that Bruce is the most underrated guitarist out there. And if he ever wanted to be known as a GREAT guitarist he would be.. He just doesn't want that label.. But watch him, he lets loose often!
Billy Brown A better title for this video would be "Neil makes Springsteen look like a second rate rocker". From the look on Springsteen's face he knows it. I really like Springsteen, but he is not Neil Young quality.
This is an incredible video. You expect, and get, Neil doing his fantastic solo shit, but rarely do you get to see Springsteen play screaming lead guitar. Fave is Clarence just blowing the place apart with Bruce and Neil kind of worshiping at his altar. Awesome stuff.
Ahhh Yezzz .... When Bruce let's loose, Neil looks just like a kid in awe of a truly Electric guitar Master .... the One, the Only, the King of New Jersey and the Supreme Boss of Rock N' Roll !! Like A Hurricane. nice try though.
Neil Young is epic, a force of nature. He truly gives soul and another meaning to this that brings you goosebumps. Best performance ever of this Dylan's superb song.
Neil hijacks Bruce's band, jams a firecracker in their butt, rams the jalopy into overdrive, and roars into the next dimension. I thinks that's basically what happened here.
Yea. Read my review from 7 years ago. I said the same thing. Bruce had no idea what happened when Neil got started. He blew the e street band off the stage. Too bad Clarance, Neils guitar over shadowed your clarinet, here to fore unchallenged! Until Neil Young showed up!
+Marsh Sherrif You are so right about that. Hes a self made millionaire doing what he loves doing. I would give anything to see him in concert but he never comes around Indiana. :(
Nobody alive can touch Neil performing this song, not even Bruce. Neil is tapped into a force when he does this, and everybody else just has to hang on for dear life.
I live in Sydney and earlier this year took my 14 year old son to his first concerts: Neil Young and then, a few weeks later, Bruce Springsteen. He loved them both and now goes thru my old records so he can listen to the music and wants to play his sax like Jake Clemons (& by extension, Clarence Clemons). I only fear is that after a start like that, can live music for him ever be bettered?
Notice they BOTH went to Mr. Clemons after Neil inched Bruce along.. They knew Mr. Clemons who was a big part of the Boss' rise to fame.. The big man isnt forgotten..
Now that`s a real rock`n roll and everything I think and feel about it! What an epic show of skill, emotion and dedication. Boss is an icon ja Neil truly giant of rock.Wish I have been there! Would lost my mind probably. It happened even looking at this video. Thanks so much sharing Maria!
That song inspired us to write a raging song about the gun situation in America and the awful events in the university in 2018 (among all the other tragedies). Dylan and Hendrix kind of showed us the way with this great anthem. I saw CSNY in the early 2000's. About a third of the way through Neil played After The Gold Rush and from then on out it was basically Neil Young and friends. He has a way of garnering his share of attention - even with the Boss.
wow is that true fan of both of them, Nevr heard the quote before. thanks for sharing that, yeah just love neil young when he starts to abuse that les paul Just so out there.
0:58. For all you young kids out there, Neil Young, the fella that wobbles a lot, don't be frightened. Hes just got some impairment when it comes to his balance, so he needs to wobble like this, otherwise he would fall down.
Hehehe, I agree that Neil Young is a genius, and I love when he starts to "wobble", he just zomes out and lets the music flow. Oh by the way, the lyric-sentence "there are many here among us..." is actually written by Bob "tremendously-overrated" Dylan, you know the dude that has a voice like a cat being strangled...

Me
No one plays the guitar like Neil Young. He plays one note, and you know it's him.
In my mind he's the best guitar player. Is he technical .... who cares
And you know... well done.. you absolute melt..... a living gobshite telling a living legend how to entertain and perform...... crawl back in under your rock
What about the other 2 notes he knows?
yes
Two masters were approaching ...
SuzzyStohelit marry me woman! Was just gunna post same thing, word for word
@@noeloakes890 the only problem with both of those comments would be that there's only one master there on the stage and some idiot from New Jersey
Neil's like a shaman. Magical musician.
Neil Young is the only person in the world who can hijack The E Street Band from The Boss on a stage.
Nils joined in The Horse
now that's not just live music...that's pure Rock'n Roll...you can't engineer it!....

Bruce schooled by the FORCE that is Neil Young. I have been a Springsteen fan since 1980 but here he is totally brought down to earth by Neil.
Yep!
Bruce Springsteen is such a nice boy and a big fan of Neil Young...so respectful...so working class...
STOP THE WAR NOW!
Neil is still Young, and no one can get even close as Young he still is!
forever young
Ringo can
He was so much older then,
he's YOUNGer than that now
I was there.
awsome love how clarence gets in on the jam !
The Boss and that Springsteen bloke
Two absolute geniuses, two men who have a brilliant way of interpreting a song. This is marvellous.
This was Dylan’s song & Hendrix but now it’s Neil Young and Bruce plays on looking totally in awe! ❤️

Pretty sure Bruce and the band knew what they were getting into.
As long as it keeps The Boss from running his pie hole incessantly about nothing anyone wants to hear between songs … it’s alight by me.
Fuck yeah
That, my friends is Rock and Roll!
Neil plays with his heart and soul, He becomes one with his Guitar. not to many guitar players play like that.

Saw both Neil ('91 - '97) and Bob ('92) live, Bob is an old grumpy man, Neil's a dynamite rocker with passion.
Incredible guitar heros doing one of Bob Dylan's greatest compositions. All gone from today's rock 'n roll music world.
For all time...Miss Maria , thanks so much.
When the Music Gods play,.
