- Today we explore a very unique abandoned luxury hotel with everything left behind. This location appears frozen in time with lots of ski equipment, furniture, and other artifacts of its past left behind. For only being abandoned 10 years, there is a lot of natural decay as nature slowly reclaims this abandoned resort. This is one of those explores where it appears the owners closed down one day and never came back. Join us as we explore what they left behind.

Crazy to see what 10 years does to a place, mother nature is truly amazing
The world has taken it back but still looks amazing im gonna lost post apocalyptic world in are future if I make it not keen that would meen end of times like zombies ect family I would say friends but I got no true friends who are friendly only people who want something or are depressed bully's who drag me down with them but yeah end of times I don't want my folks getting hurt but still wed learn to farm live survive but vary nice green hmm enless the end times is a purge then well not so good ied stay there now if no spiders
It's great to see how your videos have been improving lately. The production has gotten much more polished and you've picked some interesting places. The tour of the hotel tower was quite interesting to look at. I like your work w/ the ADR crew, but it's also good to see that you have solid content in your own channel. Keep up the good work!

I used to go here as a young kid with my family every year. This resort and the neighboring property, the falls view.
As you went through these rooms I can remember running around escaping my parents - thank u and wish it was still there - I think it’s been torn down
So sad. When you think that 30 years ago the whole place would have been alive with laughter and enjoyment of families escaping the rat race.
By 1990, the place was showing its age. I saw what a room was like and it was not great.
I remember living in the Catskills in the early 80s and the Nevele commercial was often on tv. Sad to see it now.
That's my state! Very fascinating place. NY has a lot of fascinating abandoned places

The Nevele and Beautiful fuckin Mt. Airy Lodge were nonstop on tv when I was a kid. Never went but always wondered if it was as great as on the ads. Used to go to Mohonk nearby Nevele, but nicer, as far as I can tell.

I went there on my Honeymoon over the thanksgiving weekend in 1976. The being was so dirty we never unpacked and went back to our apartment in New Paltz. Sad. I learned to ice skate and ride horses there in my youth. My first and only attempt to learn to ski.
That sad it was dirty in 76...

This is my favorite of all the abandoned resorts! I never get tired of it. Sad to see that the destruction and vandalism is worse in each video, I can still see the beauty it once was. The Nevele is special! Thanks for your video!

I was there on vacation the very last weekend it was opened it was an absolute disaster no power no plumbing everything was out but as a kid it was so much fun to mess around

The construction of the rink is beautiful - all of the exposed wood beams in the ceiling and the curved wood beams in the walkways along the outside edges of the rink - very skilled craftsmanship. A shame it couldn't have been turned into something else.

What's amazing is this place is totally destroyed in a decade. It makes me appreciate Romans and Greek architecture that is still standing after 1000s of years. In 100 years that hotel will be a pile of rubble unless it is restored soon.

Love it but can't get my head around the amount of money ( in its thousands) has just been left! No wonder it got into financial trouble. Hurricane Irene,the system was designated as Tropical Storm Irene on August 20, 2011. Caused so much rain, flooding, and damage. Irene was s huge.
I worked at a holiday inn I would check under every bed it would surprise you what people stash under them especially return guests.

Great explore, thanks! Man I haven’t heard that Nevele commercial since the 70’s. They used to play that one, Penn Hills and Mount Airy Lodge over and over again...even sounds like the same singers!

The most incredible (and sad) thing about this video is that ghetto graffiti inside of this place. In the middle of nowhere Catskill mountains actually has gang members that happen to have a can of paint to tag something? Unreal!

this stuff is awesome! a sub well deserved, my friend.
I am someone with a B. S. Degree in Hotel Resort and Tourism Management and 14 years experience in the hotel business it hurts me to see this place abandoned . However I look at this in 2 different ways. Financially I see why with less and less foot traffic and less guess staying at your hotel that means that your room revenue drops and when you do not have people stying at your hotel property it makes it hard to pay your bills let alone your mortgage and taxes. It is to bad that the Catskills are no longer largly considered a big vacation location.

I haven't seen any Nextel equipment since about 2007. I was in construction and the Nextel radio was widely used. I haven't worked in construction since the crash of '08 which was probably a contributing factor in the death of The Nevele. I wouldn't mind seeing more drone footage of the place. 👍 😆
Sorry to do this, but as a former Nextel employee, Nextel used Motorola and Blackberry devices. They were purchased by Sprint in 2005, and the network was shut down in 2013. If the site is still up, maybe it's now a Sprint site
