This is how the storage unit business can go from 0-100 real quick! We bought a cool storage unit, and then, well see for yourself! What would you do in this situation?
Jebus family what i would do is contact the individual whos items it was and talk it out,explain the fact your reluctant to give the goods back cause of the threatening comments which was unnessasary in the first place, facebook is full of trolls and trouble. Remember the nasty people are the ones who need the most love! You guys are so kind to folk, keep up the good work from uk. Peace
Jebus, at least make a police report about the situation, with pictures of the texts as backup. That way, the police know this issue happened, has it on file, and can use it in case something were to happen. Better safe than sorry. And I luv the Jack Skellington stuff.

I used to work for a PD, it is real easy to go to the PD and ask to speak to an officer. They always have desk officers available. Do not be dramatic just concerning. Tell them you bought the unit, you have have "VEILED THREATS", tell him you are public on CZcams, that you don't know who they were at the auction, whow him the FB, tell him your concerns... THEN ask him if there is anything to be concerned about or to be done. That way if the Department has had previous issues with them they can let you know what your level of concern should be and what the best steps to take are. After talking to thee officer, tell him, with all the internet nutjobs out there you just want to be on your toes. They do not fault you for that, as a matter of fact they respect you for it.
Jebus I agree with this person. My sister dad was a police officer and he always told us that it was always better to be safe than to be sorry! Talk to them! Let them know and read what has been said. They are not taking threats like they used to. They don’t ignore stuff anymore as too much has happened. Please be safe for the girls and the kitties! Momma and Amber are precious! The kitties are not replaceable either! Baby Jebus is isn’t either! You too! Life is precious! These people Are Nuts out there! Be careful please!

Have the police reach out to owners Leave their stuff at the police station so they can go obtain their personal belongings.File a report of what happened as well to cover your basis.

I remember when you went out of your way to help a family in hard times. You are good people. You owe these people nothing.
These people can’t pay for their unit but want to intimidate the purchaser (The Jebuses) so they can get their stuff back for free. Pillars of the community, Im sure. I agree with the commenter who said to give the local police a heads up. Stay safe please!!
as for the situation, I would call the local police (non emergency) ask to speak with an officer(non emergency doesn't have the quickest response but your getting the best advice from someone who knows the local laws on that) ....if anything,... giving the owners info and etc would be to document any incident . If by chance it ends up escalating(hopefully not),or if they start harassing or anything you will have it at least documented. Hopefully all is just "chatter" be smart and just pay attention to your surroundings for awhile just to be safe....
Take personal stuff back to the storage place and let them give it to the people. That way you don’t have to deal with them. But take a picture of you taking it to the place so you have proof of it.
Honestly you guys, i wouldnt let it bother you. You always do your best to do right and make sure the personal things get returned. Youre running a business and if they couldnt pay for their unit they knew the consiquences. They are just trying to scare you into letting them have their unit back. Hang in there. You two are great.

Walk away. You did what you needed to do by giving them their personal stuff. The guy who commented is just a jerk who is embarrassed he didn't win the unit/is trying to act tough. I would file the police report just in case they try something. Make no contact with them. They will calm down. They have no rights. Don't fuel their fire.

They decided to not reprint only 5 or 6 Dr. Suess books. They were mostly unpopular books and they had some racist stuff in them. The whole story was blown out of proportion.
Jebus describing purses and girly stuff is priceless. A lot of the party decor looks like it's from Dollar Tree, or Dollar General, whichever you have there.
In “Alan’s Box” looks like a nice carnival glass vase. I could be wrong but if it’s carnival glass it maybe worth something. Keep having fun guys. Love your videos 😊

I don't think that you should do anything. If they wanted the stuff they should have paid THEIR storage fees. You paid for the unit so it's yours. I wouldn't worry about it TOO much.🤷🏿♀️
Check out the Concealed Carry Permit requirements in your area, get a good CC pistol if you are able to get a permit, and keep your eyes open when you are inside a facility checking out the contents of any storage unit you buy, and watch who may be parked around the exits of a storage facility that pull out right after you leave. Never know which weirdo has relatives that may have wanted all the goodies for themselves. I suggested the Concealed Carry because you have cash on you when you go to bid on a unit, and you often have cash, gold, or other jewelry that you have found inside a unit after you've started going through the contents. Always be able and prepared to defend you, your wife, and your property, wherever you are.
We've both had that for a couple years now, don't leave the house unarmed

With those heads, hair strips, and nail polish, looks like someone went to cosmetology school. All that stuff is expensive to purchase. Also, check the comps on that little Betsey Johnson purse. Her purses are high end and can sell for big bucks. 😁

I wish the people who bought our storage unit many years ago would have been kind enough to give us back our personal items. I lost all my yearbooks and lots of sentimental stuff. I went to the auction to attempt to buy it, but they started the auction early, so although I was on time for it, they were already done before I arrived. 🤦🏼♀️.
I think the bag with doll and hair curlers was someone at college. Doing hairdressing course. I liked the unit x

I would just leave it alone, no communication with the previous owner. it is yours now , you gave what you felt was personal to them. Which is from your hearts. You owe them nothing . It sure is awesome to have you back doing your thing. I could tell how happy you were to be back in your element! You guys are so much fun, and very smart! Cant wait til the next unit!!

As far as the crazy people, I would never just go straight home , would drive in circles for a bit, just to see if your being followed, keep your heard on a swivel, and always have pepper spray and a led througher. Stay say, maybe get a dash camera with GPS, and possibly a camera or two at home, facing the driveway.

I did the storage unit thing for a while but I never made enuff profit most times to keep it going. Hauling stuff to the dump costs more than the unit, but I was like you and I did return personal items to the owner when possible. They appreciated it.

I would leave the personal stuff at the locker unit and make a police report so that it is at least recorded, I would not contact these people, if they’re so concerned about the contents of this unit they should have bought it back themselves
Next time your going to a facility with motion lights, stop at dollar tree and get a helium balloon, I found out that they set off motion sensors pretty well, lol, there was a birthday party at the bar and I didn't know one of them things was still floating around,I got the bar stocked, cleaned set the alarm and locked the place up. Two hours later that balloon crossed the sensor and My phone was ringing. They made my boss go in first and she had her gun in hand, walked in and saw it in the corner and started busting up! We watched the video and it slowly just glided🙃🙂

I had my unit sold there are certain rules u have to follow before u can a auction off your unit as I'm sure you know the owner did none of that I took him to court and won 30000.but it still didn't help with the emotional and traumatic effect on me I'm glad to see that you give back the people at least their personal items and pictures.
My advice to my children. Always be aware of your surroundings. Your family and we’ll being is paramount.
take a battery operated fan, remove the cover, attach lengths of ribbon to the blades, and glue a strong magnet to the back. stick it on the metal walls of the storage unit below the motion sensor, and turn it on low. Boom- motion sensor problem solved. Should be quiet enough for filming.

Put up security cameras, which you should've done right after you moved in anyway being that you broadcast what you have acquired and potentially have stored at your house. Also, keep the great equalizers at the ready just in case issues arise. You should also look up the self-defense laws in your area so however you decide to defend any issue you know your reaction will stay on the legal side. Those are my 2 cents on it. Funny how people let their "prized possessions" go so far that once they've lost them then they feel as if it's time to take action. If that stuff is so important pay the bill when it's due or find a family member's or friend's basement to store it in for free or cheap... end rant!

If they are so concerned- pay your bills. If you chose not to pay then get the things you want before it goes up for auction. It is my understanding- at least near me- it takes at least a couple months to get to the auction point. Nobody Owes them anything and y’all are good about returning the personal things.

For future reference Betsy Johnson is a really popular New York Designer. I know because she's one of my top fav designers and has been since the 90s. She's this crazy, cool older lady who has even crazier, wild red hair who does cartwheels down the catwalk to this day. She has to be close to 80 too lol. I know her off-the-rack things can be pretty pricey but the other stuff is just as expensive. I've also heard she collabs with Torrid, and that stuff isn't so expensive. It runs maybe $200 or less but I'm not sure. *shrugs* I guess it all depends on where you get it and what line it is and where and who she's selling it for. Then there's the season. If it's old the price may be lower.

just take all of the stuff that you consider "personal" and give it to the office and they can contact the people to go there and pick it up. you don't have to do anything.
They have no legal rights. You bought this unit fair and square and were kind enough to return their personal items.

The reason i like them is because they are not like a lot of want a be storage hunters and junkers claiming to be able to sell their items for a ridiculous amount of money knowing they will sit of it for the rest of their lives and possibly their kids and grand kids lives.
