What was in the lock box!
There was an antique match safe I saw in one of the boxes with some menâs items. Itâs probably sterling and you should check it out. Worth at least 50 bucks
Tysonwebb
I am happy that your mom raised you with such terrific morals and values. You wanting to give the family back their personal items is so touching. Wish there were more young men like you in this world! Good job mom on raising your son & great job with the camera, too!
It's interesting to see in the comments how many people have found and viewed this during our Covid-19, pandemic quarantine. Thank you for being respectful to the original owners and not showing the insides of photo albums. Thank you for handling these items with care. I'm hoping this couple just never had any kids, and that's why this got left behind. If the owners did have adult kids, I don't understand why they couldn't take a tiny break from their lives to show some respect to their parents belongings! Respect Your Parents Adult Children Out There!! They deserve that Honor!!âš
Maybe their kids didn't know that it was in storage?
surely they had brothers and sisters tho that might want that stuff for a family tree. i still say go on ancestry.com to find out if someone is looking for the name
Tandi Paren
And what if they weren't good parents? Honor and respect are EARNED, not automatically given. There are a lot of abusive and neglectful parents, some of them even murder their kids. Those people don't deserve respect.
Dear Wade Adventures, I have watched many a storage unit groups and for the most part I have been appalled at the smut, foul language and/or money hungry ingrates that are showing up on CZcams. If any one deserves to be blessed, it's your family. You truly have feelings for the people that has lost their possessions yet, you know that you are running a business and life goes on. Thank you for being a stand-up family that stands for their beliefs and you will be continually blessed. And to you Grandma Adventures, kutos to you for a son that makes you proud.
The meatal with red ribbon is a metal of honor from World War 2.
I so agree:)
I agree with you.
You are so right. One guy is especially vulgar. I think that balarina thing is pretty old. I had one as a child and I'm 75. You know with the wind-up key.
Gloria Steinem
I can only imagine your husband being a kind and gentle man. The way he treats his mother is so loving. Love your videos.đ
Yes! You all "hit the jack pot!" WOW!đ So Thankful you all give back all the personal items back. So respectful! Thank you!â€
Hmm Your Mum knows a lot about these antiques. She gave us a good Commentary while she was filming. Kudos to her. Old age and wisdom combined !!!!!!
This was nerve-racking.. đŹđŹđŹ The entire video, I kept thinking..."BE CAREFUL!" đł So many items that I understand you didn't realize, had value. But, please, take it easy with the old stuff! Some are so rare. Glad you found a good unit, and I hope these treasures found good homes.
I thought same ! Heâs devaluing items by the way he handles them ! Heâs just money hungry not clever
and doesnât realise the value of items he has !
My thoughts are, if heâs pressed for time, pack the truck and unpack later when you have the time to unpack everything gently and repack carefully for redistribution. Definitely rummaging isnât good especially when you can hear the glass clanking!
He was killing me, he's like a bull in a China shop. Glad his mother was there to reign him in a little. Hated how he kept on her ass about the camera operation.
This is an odd show. Canât see much!
How much for the piano and base guitar music boxes?
I respect how you handle the merchandise with care. Iâve watched another site where the guy throw things around and onto the ground. No need for that. Iâm a new subscriber and now have to binge watch your videos. Iâm very close to my son and I can see us doing this together. Your momâs a sweetheart and it warms my heart how much you show her respect. God bless you on your adventures.
FYI the children's oak Wakefield rocking chair is actually not vintage, it's antique. So a tad older than you originally thought. They are worth $549 to $889 each dependent upon its condition. So that was an awesome find. BTW just stumbled on your channel and subscribed because I love the mother son dynamic. Your mom rocks, but I'm pretty sure you already knew that. I'm looking forward to your next upload. Great content.đđ
Someone was a Ham radio operator. Go through the personal papers and Google some of the names and you'll find the grandchild or someone those war medals would mean a lot too. You're a good man for giving them back!!
My father in law just passed away recently and one of his sons said to his mother, "Mom just call someone they will come pick up all of that junk". I almost had a stroke......I almost screamed, "NO, that was your dads livelihood". The mom of this man, the wife of my father in law, was so hurt that he didn't want anything from his dad's stuff.....
Please people, love your parents things. Look over them, remember times you had with them, cherish those things.
i get it. things are just things & hoarding is a problem. most people just put the things away in boxes & never look at them anyway; like this lady with the storage unit. but i would say, mom lets try to give these things to charity so other people can make use of them. & keep a few things that have a special meaning for you & display them.
I am sorry to hear that, we need to appreciate our parents stuff because they work hard for it. Now day's society don't care about those sentimental stuff. We just have become too greedy on wanting the biggest house full of new furniture. When you can appreciate your mother dinning table†I love old furnitureâ€
Eloisa Ferruzola m
You are so right. When my mother died she left a house full of "Things" to be split between my brother, sister and myself. We actually had quite a good time going through it all and sorting it out and remembering stories from our childhood. I kept a set of dining crockery that was my mothers pride and joy and now, even 30 years later I think of my parents with happiness when i eat from it.
@@eloisaferruzola3680 i agree when i started to do my family tree i found i missed out on the lives of uncles i never got to kno. theold pics were ways of getting to know them. im still searching
That white "Egyptian thing" is called Tramp Art box. I've never seen one painted. They are usually natural wood. They are worth more than average in a natural state .
Donât apologize for not showing everything, youâve been working all day , you went through a lot and your momâs knee and no sleep. Appreciate you and your respect for the families personal pictures and service metals in trying to return them. Love watching your videos.
I admire how you show so much respect to the previous owners! Very awesome traits. Your parents raised you well
Thanks Sandy đđ
What was the date on the newspaper?
I realize this video is over a year old so, if you still have it, you opened a box full of jewelry boxes (21:58). The 2 little swans in the bowl belong to the jewelry box with the swan. They swim on the mirror lake as it plays. I had the same one as a kid.
I had to laugh when you opened the box with outdoor games and your Mom called the cover to the bread warmer a doll hammock. The item you didn't know is a Salton(brand name) bread warmer. They work great! Hopefully it still works. I came across you video randomly and enjoyed watching. I am glad you show so much respect to the families that used to own these items. I also love your relationship with your Mom. I hope her surgery went well.
The one thing that you thought was a hammock looks like AA old bread bread warmer! And in the condition it looks like it's with a lot more money than they paid for back then ! You done very good on this On this storage locker đ đ đ đ.
My parents had that exact one.
I wish I had that kind of relationship with my mother, you guys look like you really enjoy each others company, and get along. :)
This video reminds me of a time when my husband and I had the opportunity to clean out homes after estate sales. We could do what we liked with the items, but we had to take everything, including the garbage. One particular home sticks in my mind because as in this unit, there were several boxes of photographs and letters - some from the WWII era. I couldn't believe that a family would leave those behind on purpose. It took me several months, but I managed to hunt down a family member who was overjoyed at the find and spent a few hours with me over tea telling me the family story and going home with her memories of a beloved family member. I even took her to my storage area and offered to her that if there were any special dishes or other items from the home she was welcome to take them.
I'm so glad that you are so respectful to do something similar to what you have here. Also, quit hassling mom! She's doing a good job and she knows a thing or two...
I agree...quit hassling Mom. She does a great job. She said she felt unsure of herself...but that"s only because he's grumbling...haha
Wow
Where did you do your searching? I also have items that belong to other people and would love to reconnect them with their family?
You do a good thing there! That was nice to read! Stay safe
They probably didnât have children. So sad hope you find a brother or sister đ
I hope a family member may be watching and you can return their memories from a relative. God Bless.
Many years ago as a kid I remember my mother buying Avon products and she would buy my dad colognes called The Lighthouse and The Barber Pole which was in the shape of a lighthouse and of a barber pole, and I recall them smelling real nice! Itâs amazing to see old items that brings back childhood memories!
This was like a trip through my parent's effects. My dad was a Naval radio operator in WWII. He had ham gear up until the early sixties. My mom had a Singer sewing machine like that one early on. "Made in Japan" was common in the sixties.
yea my thought too
The ones in this locker were Spies!
My father was a ham radio operator for 50 years. that equipment is worth thousands of dollars. I would search for currant operators in your area to help you appraise it or maybe they may be interested in it for themselves. My father built a lot of his own equipment, he also was a T.V. repairman for Sears for 35 years
Its unusual that people this age did not connect the word HAM+equipment to the the HAM RADIO NETWORK OF OPERATORS AROUND THE WORLD!
The wall phone is a replicate but can be connected to the phone system
Id give anything own one ..
The Ham radio equipment and other electronics are GREAT. You got some $$$ there! Congrats!
In case you didnât receive any comments identifying the âdoll hammockâ, itâs actually a bread warmer, and I believe my grandma also used it to keep casseroles warm at potluck gatherings.
My mom has one I just commented as well before seeing your comment. Is a salton bread warmer. They work great
Love this! Love all the "oh wows"! I love watching you and your mom. I had a great relationship with my parents and we had so much fun doing ordinary things or just working as you are. I miss them both, so much! I hope your Mom's knee surgery went good. I am watching 2years hence. Will have to watch follow up videos.đ
Oh my lordy!! That box of tubes could be worth a fortune. The right tubes to a guitar amp builder are seriously valuable. Also those that restore vintage electronics. That box could end up paying for the entire locker. Nice!!
I have three boxes of tubes. Anyone interested?
Would. Like. To. Purchase. Bibles. The. Older. The. Better.
You can never get the money you think your going to get.
@@m.t.426, true in many cases. Actually most of the time. But with vintage stuff like electronics tubes that are specific to an application, with patience waiting for the right person to come along needing one, you can really do quite well. I have a very good friend that has accumulated a very large inventory of vintage parts and pieces like this by dismantling broken vintage equipment and the numbers he gets for most of what he sells is quite a compelling argument to his wife to come along for the ride on weekends to go hunting for broken or worn down vintage equipment of all kinds from sewing machines and victrolaâs, to old letter press or machine shop equipment. He really does rake in a very impressive retirement income that is completely attributed to selling vintage parts. These tubes are an extremely popular item that draws the high end of the profit map, ESPECIALLY if they are the specific type that music amplifiers are specâd to use. For those amp building folks creating or modifying a tube driven unit, they will pay a small fortune for true vintage tubes to get the absolute perfect tone from that amplifier!!! If you have ever listened to the difference between a Hammond B3 playing through a vintage Leslie amplifier using either new style or vintage tubes, you would well appreciate why they spend that small fortune. Awesome sound with a noticeable difference in warmth in the tone. đđ»đđđ»
Wow, lol. Went off on a bit of a rant there for a moment, lol!! đ€Łđ€Ł
â@@Far2hipI love that kind of info, especially from someone who is passionate as well as knowledgeable.
"Wow look at this! What is it Mom?" đ Way to go guys! Treasure and a heart warming relationship.
I just saw this and started watching. Its wonderful your Mom is with you.
Dear Mom Ventures, I see below someone complimented you by saying you are old and have wisdom. I'd just like to tell you that you are young at heart, delightful and wise. I'm older than you and had someone tell me I was 80 the other day. I'm 73 and it was unnecessary for that person to call me 80.
Wade I love seeing a man whom shows his mom the respect and love they deserve, and mom I have to give you props you raised your son right he is going to be a good husband and dad if not already because you were such a good mom to him. I can tell from just watching this one video of you two it was really nice seeing it. Thank You for sharing
Kelly Lynne pppp
I know.What a nice guy!!
ACTUALLY Kelly Lynne, I've seen tight mother/son relationships go the other way also. Where the mom is controlling. Luckily this mom seems to a sweet, funny mom. I raised my grandsons to adulthood with manners, God, respect, humor, and to treat ladies like queens. They knew I would mama bear ANYONE that came against them or even threatened them but they thought I was hilarious, still do..
ya like a momma's boi, eh?
I like when grandma opens the boxes. Love her.
I think it's just so awesome he's a very good guy and blessed to have his mom she's a wonderful woman raised him very well god bless you both
My former colleague used to do this when her husband was still alive. They always went to house clearances and cleared out the houses and apartments and sold the things at the flea market. Her husband had a small workshop and he also restored the furniture there. Unfortunately, after her husband's second heart attack, they were no longer able to continue. In the past, whenever I needed anything, I always bought from her. Somehow she always had everything I needed in stock. They bought an old farm and there, in the former barn, they had plenty of space.
Idk what's funnier. How hes like a kid in a toy store while she laughs at how happy he is. Or when she reads the box and says i bet this is in. Then tells him shes psychic. First time coming across your video only 40 mins in so far and loving this what you guys came across. (Love your mom also. Never seen one so supportive and interested in what her child is doing.)
If I was rich I would buy the whole unit from you, That Singer sewing machine is a treasure and if I had the money I would buy it and the books and the music boxes. Love Love this video more than any other. If you need help to try and find the family for the pictures I would be glad to try and help I do genealogy. It is wonderful that you have you Mamma help you..
No need to be rich, those Singer sewing machines are a dime a dozen, $40 would get you one in a heartbeat! Heck, maybe even 2!!
Judy Kay Deal sewing machine is hard to sell.
Looks like you might have the older components of a big time ham radio operator that likely reached areas around the world or possibly an complete radio disc jockey system! There could be a lot of collectors in that area that would like to set up an entire display of old vintage radio system!
Love Moms voice!! She's so relaxed and calm.
This broke my heart. đ This is why I spent one year going through my folks house. Found a lot of same things. Well taken care of because they went thru the Depression and great pride in every dollar earned. This person probably earned 5.00 a month when they started out adulthood. So to see extended family not caring enough to pay storage or to take home and sort through breaks my heart đ I am hoping they will be pleasantly surprised (did not know about unit) when you return the heirlooms to them. Probably got put in storage when they went to nursing home or passed away. Guarantee owner did not willfully put into storage. There is a huge difference between making money off the material items and morals returning family heirlooms....
Photos, Family Bible, Military honors/pins/flight log/flag, etc.. There may even be money hidden in books as folks did back then. I know you will lead with your heart/morals while going through and posting. Feel like this may have been WWII Veteran from age of contents.
PS Ralli Roots is my weekly watch.
Ran across you first time today. You will be future watch.
You and Ryan both sound like respectable, very likable guys.
Appreciate your words had respect for these treasures. Thanks also for motivating me to got through my stuff and get heirlooms to my family ASAP.
Nice guy. Great channel.
Wishing your family and everyone watching your channel love, peace, joy, abundance, and gratitude.

The Dictaphone is beautiful! Looks like a pre 1941 Webster Chicago model reel to reel. museumofmagneticsoundrecording.org/ManufacturersWebsterChicago.html
Some people donât have families; not everyone has children.
+q09
i agree on all you have said
they paid storage for 19 years
I really love your relationship with your mom and I love how much you love your treasures. Really lifting me up in such a hard year. Best to you!
What a sweet locker. You hit a good one. You show a lot of respect for former people. I canât imagine why the kids would have let this go. But thatâs life and all that stuff is where it should be in your hands. I wish I could find this stuff on eBay!!!!!
I know this is old but that first gray box is what is called a real to real audio. My dad used to sell them while in the military. He made voice videos while over seas and sent them to us so we could get news and hear his voice. We would use the same tape and make one for him. I sure wished I had just one with his voice on it now.
I know that this is an older video but I am always taken by the sad fact that these items were treasures to the previous owners. If these items could talk what history they could tell. Such wonderful things.
I'm saying "wow" right along with y'all. You definitely have this woman's entire lifetime of treasures.
You have a very good ham Radieo worth a lot of money to the right person. With it you could talk to anyone any where around the world.
Short wave radios. Vintage early transistor. My Dad was an early TV repairman...had the Sylvania bifold top tube library and the tube testers and a pile of manuals for all the early televisions. People would call him from many counties in Eastern Oregon to come fix their đș when it would blow a tube. Good memories!
Prayin 4 your Moms recovery!
Hey gidday to you both nice to meet with both.My name is Gregory Lee from Melbourne VIC Australia and I have just come a cross your channel and I am having a great time watching you find out what is in the storage units you buy i can't believe what was left after the nice lady passed away wow you have made alot of money i am blown away.anyway nice to meet you both and I will be watching your videos i hope they will be live.thanks again take care kind regards Gregory Lee from Melbourne VIC Australia đđïžđ.
This unit had some amazing items! I'm happy you'll find new homes for all this stuff. All those music boxes! And HAM stuff. How long did it take for you to go thru all the personal items? Lucky you!
The first item is a wire recorder. It is a dictation machine that records and plays back on wire instead of tape
The black box that opened and folded out with all the tubes inside it looks just like the case the tv repairman would walk into our house with when he came to repair our tv in the â50âs and 60âs. Back then a tv was an investment and like a piece of furniture. When it quit working the tv repairman was called. He would open up the back of the tv, and often replace a tube inside it with one like in your box.
My Dad was one of those guys! Had the same Sylvania box!
The tube tester needs to stay with the HAM radio equipment bet most of it is vacuum tubes
@@debrabates4630 I have one of those old boxes right now that a guy was going to toss out.
Old tubes for the Radios, and the Tester they had, this was their lives work. wow sooo interesting.
This was amazing to see. Iâd love to know when you show us everything. The older I get the more fascinating the past and history fascinated me. I also want to say how sweet your Mom seems - she reminds me of my Momđ
The first thing is indeed a dictation machine, called a wire recorder. Worked like tape, but used a magnetic wire. I saw one being used in 1950s. I was like 10 years old.
LAWN DARTS ... itâs so funny how they gave kids sharp pointy things to play with back in the day .. but now you canât get a cap gun without someone screaming youâre terrible parents
haha, i Just helped clean out my Grandfathers storage locker( he recently passed) and found a ton of old hand painted toy soldiers, my grandmother didn't even know that he'd had them (they'd been married for almost 30 odd years. Led me to start watching this kinda thing, Keep it up!
My dad was in Navy for 20 years. They had tons of music boxes and clocksfrom the orientalist countriesâŠ..Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong. My hubby in AirforceâŠYears in GermanyâŠnow I have music boxes, china, glasses, cups, etc. Iâm trying to figure what to do with this stuff but kids and grands not âcollectors. I have my dads slide projectors and a million slides. At least this family took care of the stuff! Recommendations for books. We canât even give them away .
C.B. & ham operators would love a lot of these things!
I'll bet they didn't just travel. With all the slides, photos, ham radio stuff, Plus the military pins. They probably moved around a lot and actually lived in all those places. So, he/they collected all these items from the many locations they were stationed. Glad they got to enjoy their life as a perk of all their sacrifices for my country. God bless.
My wife and I used to do estate sales. They were fun to do and very interesting, but a lot of work. We quit doing it because it got really creepy sometimes going through peopleâs lifetime treasures.
You were under a lot of pressure,I can say I have been under that kind also. You did a wonderful job today. Don't worry what negative words people use
They have never done what you are doing now. To have a hour to get your deposit back and have that unit stacked on a truck WOW!!I am disabled and it probably takes me at least a week to put them in small containers I am weak from my physical
Problem. I will be watching for you on What Not, can't wait to see you work that game .
I can honestly say I have never seen anyone get so excited about seeing something that he has no idea what he's looking at hahahahaha whoops thinking out loud again
yes!! I can't wait until I know everything ever made in the World!!! Darn thinking out loud again! haha
I would have never been able to go through it all, cause knowing the love and care for that stuff those old people had I would be to guilted and would have to find a family member,or make a shrine myself..Shit that hit me hard!..Have to be a different person to be in the business for sure!
yvonneost12 next
This was amazing!! I really do hope that you get in contact with Alex, from Curiosity inc. I have seen many leaving comments about him. He is really a nice guy with lots of knowledge about old things. I so wish that you do an unboxing video of this unit, it was simply amazing. And also, your mother is a gem. Hope the surgery went well and I keep her in my prayers. Stay safe and take care
If you find any porcelain figures or anything marked occupied Japan you found something worth bank . If figurines are Hummel they are worth money to. That dark amber vase looks like depression glass. Actually all that colored glass looks like depression glass.
Wow, some of that reminded me of my Dad. He was Army and traveled around the world and had boxes of stuff that my Mom just threw away when he died. I just cried.
You two should never correct yourselves for anyone! Like not sayingâ guys or wow.â
Thatâs what makes your show and your personality! Just be you! Love your show! Trying to get into the resell game myself.
Tracy I Agree! Great personalities!
Continue being yourselves! Wow and Guys Are Fine! đ
I'm from way back in the Country of Tupelo Mississippi đ
So My Words Would Ya'll and Yeee hawww!!! đ
Be yourselves, love your videos
Ya, you be you, Boo! Our personalities are what gives us true fans!
That military stuff should go to one of the V.F.W. Or a American Legion. He was a Corple in the Army Air Core. During WWII they will put it on display.
Good idea maybe you can find a paperwork from when he was in the military and a picture of him
Must be his first storage purchase...lol....he needs to learn his vintage
You really need to take the advise of having an American Legion expose all the military stuff.
@Jeff Dean... It's spelled Corporal. I am a Military Brat. My dad was in the Air Force.
And Army Air Corps.
The two porcelain dolls that you said were sleeping actually sit on a bench or shelf & face each other. They are kissing dolls
Even tho we communicate via cell and computers now a days, I always ask my world travelers to mail me post cards from different countries with stamp and postmark from wherever. Makes good decorations for classrooms.
Grandma, I want you to do something for us. Get a large ( LARGE) jar and every time Wade says "WOW" he has to put a quarter in the jar. You will have your motor home in no time.
I knew I was in trouble when you opened the first box and I said "Oh! A dictaphone!" Yeah. Feeling old.
I'm right there with you Turbonanny. I told Wade what it was but I guess he didn't hear me. lol GRAM in TX.
Yup, đ
( 'glad to find this comment )
I was about to type "DICTAPHONE"
as well but wanna find out from the comment section if someone's beat me into saying( typing) it.
đ
We happened to be Agatha Christie die hards and I have recognized that machine the minute our host opened the box. ( case )....
and VOILA! "The Death of Roger Arkroyd" đ sprung into my mind ( one of the Poirot episodes)...
...when I read "Memory Recorder" on the back of the case's lid, i got excited and wanted to comment so bad... hahaha!!!
Don't feel bad... you're still young at heart and you rock! đđđ
Linda Glory đ
Little help, Wire? or Metal Tape?
Lol, ditto!!! But we're not old-we're just wise!!!đđđ
Most of the electronics are test equipment for an old Avionics or Ham radio shop. The amount of test equipment is crazy, you could start up your own repair shop. But most of it is older equipment that may or may not be useful to a technician.
FYI
Paul
Just watching your Video, they are some beautiful items, and i have just seen that you picked up a white box with Jewellery inside and said it was unusual.. Well the box is Trench Art, and in the War years soldiers made these for their loved ones. Also my Brother was a Ham Radio operator, he listened to and spoke to people all over the world, i wonder if this person had his own club and members by him having so much equipment? This is just a thought... Take care of everything you handle as it is all worth a fortune and will bring you and your family a lot of riches. Happy Hunting and love to you all đ„°
He was a world War 2 vet, thats also their 50th wedding anniversary folder.
The Corporal stripes were framed. In one of the first boxes inside of something were his Sergeant stripes. Was probably stationed in Japan
During World War 2 Ham Radio operators did much to save lives and further the Win of the war
You just struck gold with the old jewelry boxes and the contents!!! Way to go!!! âïžâ„ïž
Grandma you are filming correctly. Love watching you and Wade opening boxes together!
I just LOVE grandma. Love her laugh. She makes me smile!
Shouldn't worry about saying "wow" so much. It's part of your enthusiastic self. Don't change!
I agree
Wade I had some friends who were into HAMM Radios. There are different communication levels: first Morris code, eventually they were able to have voice to voice communications. They had so much fun speaking in âMorris Codeâ to each other - between friends while in or out of school.
You and your wife and your mother are amazing group to do what you do and hopefully you can make more and hope that what I saw is still available that would be awesome so thank you for what you do and I do get a very big kick out of watching you when youâre not sure what things are but hopefully the things I told you were what they were you will match them up with with them thank you God bless
Great score. I am tipping that you got X20 on investment just from the HAM radio stuff. There's easily X2 to 3 in gold and jewelry. Probably X5 on antiques and misc. The vintage electronics that aren't HAM is probably X1. Yes this was a long video, but the real work starts now researching what you have. I seen a couple of pieces of art that could be high dollar returns as well. Looks like you hit a proper home run on this one.
In case no one has told you by now, the little chair is Haywood Wakefield and that is a very desirabe brand right now. Thatâs Haywood-Wakefield.
When heâs opening jewelry or small things it would be nice to zoom in so we can tell what it is
Looks like short wave radio set up. He had one at the house which he also used to communicate with area private small planes if CAP during disasters, etc. He also could connect with other HAM RADIO DISPATCHERS to relay messages a long way off!
Hi mom You are doing a fantastic job he is so great to have such a mother like you who will be there every step of the way thatâs what I try to do we have to help our children no matter how old they are good luck selling all your items sending love from Illinois
This is so exciting. Wish I could be there when you open everything. Iâm like Mom, bad knees. Makes me want to buy storage sheds, but I need someone to help me lift and carry. Hummmmm will have to think on that one. This one you made your $700+ back many times over. CONGRADULATIONS !!
I'm assuming she did her traveling while her husband was in the military. Her whole life is in that storage unit. So sad.
I enjoyed watching this video so much. It was like traveling through my childhood. My Dad was an avid ham radio operator. He had so much of the same. Thanks for the memories.
That basket with cord is a dinner roll warmer..the meters and other equipment is ham radios and cb radio stuff.I had some of the stuff back in 1972 era.
Hi I am in South Africa and would love to see all the music boxes once you have packed it out. Please make a video just with all the music boxes
let me profile for you. he served in the air force. probably in a plane like the model you showed. he was probally in communications. After ww2 he repaired t.v.s,radios and other electronics. Once he passed away his wife kept his belongings. she liked music boxes . The first doll you showed was from her childhood. [1910-20's] the flag you chucked aside maybe from his war days. The items in the storage were placed there around 2006 because she had to move into a home. family may have helped move them into the storage unit. but it is more likely that friends of this lady helped her. In time ,she passed away and all was forgoten about. you handled this veteran's air force cap at one point. If I saw more I could have told you more. The photos would tell a lot more. They probally did enjoy traveling together.
...With no children.
I don't understand the point of profiling after the unit is purchased. I thought the point of profiling is to do it before you buy so that you can make an educated appraisal of it's potential value.
Good job . They are making me sick . This was a precious life of someone who obviously cared about it . As you do not ! You need to return it to them the family . Im sure at least the would give you your 700.oo back ...
@@eddiebushtracey4887 maybe not some of those military patches had different fade. And if your doing a frame your patches/medals thing you'd think you'd put them all in one frame, looks like different people.
Or she...does look like MILITARY equipment like what my father had.
The warmer bread pan goes with what you are calling a green hammock. Its the top
All the ham radio and music speakers, wow. We used to be able to talk around the country and world on the big sets.
Very high end Ham radio equipment. You really hit the golden jackpot !! By the time I am watching this your mom should be out of surgery. My prayer is for her rapid recovery. She is a very sweet lady. You are blessed !!
Ham radio was the catâs meow back in the 60âs. Expensive equipment back then too.
@@AuntBAS late 80's this stuff was real expensive over here in the uk, lots of my friends used this stuff.... can't wait to see how much he makes brill find.
@@AuntBAS it's still an ongoing hobby. Our neighbor has a really great antenna setup for our area. We are not even out in the country so the way it's placed doesn't interfere with the looks of the homes.
WADE I THINK TYPE RECORDER,,
Amateur radio is not CB radio, the two are similar and different. The best place for information about it in this case and possibly to get rid of the amateur radio equipment would be the WF4X Walton county amateur radio club, their on Facebook and have their own website wf4x.wordpress.com/. Chances are they'll think it all went into the skip when they died.
DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO BAD COMMENTS. It will make you want to stop reading them at all, keep your chin up and let the haters roll off. âđœ
The warmer in the box with horse shoes is for keeping bread warm. The gree "doll hammock is the cover for the warmer.
The bone warmer is the gold container with legs and the cord inside itâs missing the top, which is a cloth and a little round metal bars, hold it together and clip it on
You pulled out at least one piece of Heath kit electronics. Heath kit was a catalog company where you would buy electronic kits. My grandpa built a huge stereo cabinet and a TV from this catalog. Heath kit is very collectable!
Good luck on your knee surgery Grandma Ventures. I enjoy watching Wade and you so much. Your interacting is so fun and respectful.
Itâs cool checking out your finds. FYI antique should be 100 years old. Earlier is vintage. I hope you make a good profit. That jewelry if all gold and silver more than pays for your unit. Good luck. Very cool stuff!
Your mom has such great pronunciation, even though I'm German, I understand every word she says. really wonderful your mom đ€©
The Cutco knife set at 1:03:07 - handles are made of bowling ball material and the blades go through to the end of the handle. I bought mine in 1963, used them daily for 58 years and they still look like new. Worth $$$.
If any need to be sharpened or if the tips have broken off or bent their warranty is still 100% solid gold! Super easy to do! I love my Cutco's!
In the late 50s, my Dad sold Cutco Cutlery while he was recovering from a surgery . I swear he must have sold sets of cutlery to all of his brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles. The set is worth a mint. In 1958/59, they ere costly.
I know this video is years old but I have Cusco knee too. You can send them back for repair, replacement or sharpening still to this day. I love mine and nearly jumped out of my chair when he found that whole set! Then the sharpener. There were so many family memories here. đą
Wow. I am speechless. So. Many. Things. You could live a year on this, easily. And I love your momma, I hope knee surgery went well!
Roll warmer. Green thing goes on top of brown and gold bottom. Keeps bread warm
