Celebrity culture is dying. Celebrities no longer have that stardom factor where people idolize them for it. These people are people but use their fame and power as leverage to do horrible things.

He’s done interviews talking about how the allegations affected their friendship and Seth said that he just couldn’t interact with him anymore after hearing about it. No doubt there’s some career-saving going on, but from what I’ve heard, their friendship genuinely came to an end because of how morally fucked James is.

@IGotsSoMuchRhythm I'm not a friend or coworker of Franco, I don't read gossip magazines, I don't use any social media except yt, I don't follow any celebrities and I've heard about this 7 years ago. No way Rogen didn't know. He just didn't care. Now he pretends to care because his own career is in jeopardy. This is so disrespectful to any victim of sexual assault but to the people calling out the perpetrators too.
Not sure if this really means anything but Franco's name was in Epsteins little black books, but Rogan's name wasn't on there

I don't feel like people have looked into this as much, but Busy Phillips, AKA Kim Kelly from Freaks and Geeks also has spoken out against James Franco. She said the set was a very "manly" atmosphere, where James Franco and the creators would make alot of jokes that were degrading to her weight and to women in general. She also has said plenty more, like saying that he was very rude to her when they were not acting, and that everytime she tried to converse with him and get along that he was just not into it at all. She said exactly she feels like she " wasn't even there." In the show, Kim Kelly and James character have a toxic relationship where they fight alot and argue. Well she said that working with him, she felt like all his energy and the toxic "acting" was REAL. Because he was actually very mean to her off screen. She said that there was a time where in a Freaks and Geeks scene they get into a physical altercation, and that in one take he actually pushed her to the ground and that was not apart of the script. She didn't like this and spoke up for herself but she said he barely got a slap on the wrist. She said she had to deal with alot of very unfair things while working in Freaks and Geeks, which is heartbreaking because that show is very beautiful to me and meaningful. I would really appreciate it if you spoke about this situation! Thank you!

James DM-ed her and saying "hi" and whatever (nothing weird yet) and that's when she asked for pics for proof. They chatted for a bit, him asking her age, where she's staying right now etc and when he asked her to come to his hotel she said she has a boyfriend.

I grew up watching Franco and Rogen's movies, they brought so much laughter to my life. It absolutely sucks to hear this, so very disappointed. I hope the women that were put through this find justice.

I saw other videos from this matter and both their opinions and comments where disgusting and lacked empathy at the least.
As a survivor, I have gone thru a long process of healing and even tho I know I should not make it personal, I fear from other victims reading and watching people being careless and biased from defending hurtful behaviors.

I can't believe it was Charlyne that was calling out these men! I'd heard about it but never knew of the actress, and it was Charlyne Yi the whole time. They're literally so kind and sweet, I'm really sad they were put in those situations. I hope they never have to work with James, Seth, or anyone who puts them in harm's way and I really hope they're able to heal from this!
Charlyne was in the movie The Disaster Artist with both James Franco and Seth Rogen. (Franco also directed the movie and Rogen produced it so they were both in positions of power beyond their acting roles.) Anyway, Charlyne heard about allegations against Franco while the movie was in production and tried to get out of their contract and not be in the movie anymore. Instead of letting Charlyne out of contract, Seth tried to bribe them and sweep the problem under the rug by offering Charlyne a larger part in the film. This is more of the full story behind Charlyne’s experience with Rogen being complicit about Franco’s inappropriate past. Rogen knew all along, protected Franco, and did not let an actor out of their contract when they felt uncomfortable working with a sexual predator. Disgusting behavior 🤮
@@tiffanykeller7530 Thanks for that info! I had no clue Charlyne was in the film. If I had known before I definitely would've watched, but now I can't knowing the circumstances surrounding it. Instead of bribing them or offering to pay for a bigger role, Rogen could've used what hush money he was offering Charlyne and hired an actor that was actually willing to be around Franco, or the rest of the people who definitely know about JF's past and are blatantly ignoring it for money. As a fan of Charlyne's I'm really glad that they're standing up for their self, especially to such big named actors. I just hate that Charlyne wasn't able to leave when they wanted, and now they have their name tied to that role and JF/SR forever.

I had followed James Franco since the beginning of social media. He was in young girls DMs all the time, it was well known. I unfollowed him years ago (about 10-12 years ?), even before the allegations. He was creepy to me at the time, and I was a huge fan.

He DEFINITELY has a reputation among young female actors and their parents for being a predator. There are MANY young women who turn down parts or are forced to sign NDAs when they work with him. He literally made advances at my half sister who is 15, and our parents pulled her from set. It really sucks how we give manipulation powers to predators like this.

I want to lift up Charlyne Yi because she's been speaking out about this for a while. I've seen on IG how heavily distressed by this whole situation she's gotten. I mean, she's been one of the only persons using their position in Hollywood to speak out. She's gotten backlash and gaslit by people in power. If she hadn't insisted on talking about this, Seth would have kept his mouth shut and Franco wouldn't be trending like this.
I remember reading Busy Phillips' book, an actress who worked with Franco on Freaks and Geeks and she said they did NOT get along. Seems like his jerky behavior wasn't so secret.

I've been waiting for this to happen. It's sad because those two are awesome together but James is gross and disturbing and I'm glad Seth is seeing the light. Rogan never made me feel off but Franco does give me bad vibes. He has gotten away with this crap for too long and it's about time that this is happening. Edit: I have read other comments and yes I agree that Seth has known and stood by him for too long and there is something to be said that his leaving Franco's side is a little too little too late. All in all, I'm really glad to see the ball is still rolling with exposing these people. We are still only at the beginning of this with this entire industry.
