As a counselor, telling someone that molestation didn't happen because there's no signs is absurd. Because (sorry if I'm graphic) but not all molestation is going to be blunt you know? It can be "gentle" with light touching, etc. I just hate hearing that shit about "no signs".

Maybe it's just me being a survivor of abuse (my abuser was also a narcissist), but fulling dismissing CSA allegations is entirely out of my comfort zone. Idgaf if both parents are toxic, he still could've abused her. Due to my abusers charisma, most of his fucking friends AND the fire department thought he couldn't have hurt me because he was so good to the fucking community. Weinstein and the MeToo movement showed us the structure of patriarchy and abuse in Hollywood. And while yes it is possible that Mia Farrow is an evil, Machiavellian, disgusting usurper of the MeToo movement, it's also just as possible that she responded to abuse allegations somewhat intensely after finding nude pictures of Soon-Yi. Because let me tell you, it's a crazy kind of chaos and hatred when a good person finds out their kid was sexually abused. I don't think any of us have enough info to fully dismiss that. But hey, maybe I just care more about potential victims than potential abusers given the fucking statistics 🤷♀️

That was the hardest part to hear it made my heart break too. It hurt to hear. I hope he dies soon honestly. I hate that this kind of thing happens. I hate that in my own family I had to hear an older sibling talk about an uncle being a child molester. Given the elaborate stories he’s told the press, I don’t think it’s improbable that he and many others have adopted tactics to snake their way into these women’s hearts and convince them they’re crazy/paranoid, it’s all in the past, ultimately to allow them access to kids. I remember it was big news at the time. Just awful.
I would like to say that MSM actually did cover this situation a LOT and more often than not would ask actors how they felt about the allegations, it was Hollywood who acted like it was no big deal. Actresses like Diane Keaton, so on and so forth were outright asked and they said: "he is a fine director and I don't believe he did what they say he did."
I'm no fan of ET or other Hollywood media but they have constantly brought up Allen's past. It only seems like it's recent thanks to #metoo but this has been well known forever now.
This was news in several media outlets including VH1. I remember being horrified hearing about it years back but nothing was done then or now about this particular case.
Some younger folks may not remember, but this did get a lot of coverage at the time. I’m happy anytime someone new learns about what a freak he is. :)
A man saying he had “many opportunities to sexually abuse a child if he wanted to” is absolutely absurd, the fact he even could say something so disgusting is pretty telling. I 100% believe Dylan!!! I find it very hard to believe an adult would still today be telling a lie if her mother told her to lie, and then the babysitter’s stories definitely add credibility.

Let's say Woody Allen didn't touch Dylan. His behavior with Soon Yi alone is absolutely disturbing. I love how they are acting like what happened with Dylan is the only bad thing he has done. And need I remind the audience, this behavior has been out for DECADES now and Hollywood ignored it.
Something I just remembered: the reason it seems like this came out of no where for the younger generations is because of #metoo. I know you are wondering what I mean… not too long ago Woody Allen was going to direct a movie and had enlisted some big actors and actresses of today’s Hollywood and I believe it was ET who contacted the actresses (if memory serves one such actress of Margo Robbie) and asked her how she felt about working with Woody despite the allegations and she was like: “what allegations?” It was then relayed to her all of what Woody Allen has been accused of and she and several actors backed out. I believe the movie was still made but basically it went over like a fart in church. Audiences asked Hollywood why was Woody Allen still making movies with this sort of crap at his door. It was then that Hollywood kinda quietly cut ties with him.
Every time Woody Allen tries to do a movie, entertainment media DOES bring up the allegations and originally actors and actresses said he was never convicted and continued to work with him but like it or hate it (personally I hate it) and if someone is outed as a predator (or in the case of JD just straight allegations).. they do tend to distance themselves.
Key word: OUTED as long as it’s quiet rumors they pretend not to know. Money talks you know?
I want you young people to remember the names of the actors and actresses who continued to work with Woody Allen since he married Soon Yi and Dylan accused him of SA. Those are the evil people who allow men like Kevin Spacey, Harvey Weinstein, and others to continue to do what they do.
Look up ALL his movies from the late 80s to now. These people KNOW of the allegations (mind you the younger generations might not know like Margo Robbie) Diane Keaton was asked about them during an interview, was told about them, and she continued to work with him in a LOT of his movies.

It's bad isn't it. Because she was burying her head in the sand, it was made someone else's responsibility to watch him at all times and could have quite easily caused them danger.
I was a victim of repeated child sexual abuse and rape between the ages of 5-14 by an uncle. I didn't tell my mom until I was in College, and asked her not to say anything to anyone. It wasn't until I was 29 yrs old when I told my sister, and that's when she told me that he did that to her as well. Eventually in my late 30's is when I found out he's molested dozens of people, and those are the ones that we know of, there is definitely way more victims, and I am learning of more and more victims as time goes on. There are Five reasons why I never came forward to tell someone when I was a child. First, my mother was physically and verbally abusive towards me, I feared her and was scared to tell her. Second, I didn't think anyone would believe me, and my relatives and mother would turn their back on me. Third, I felt shame that it was my fault. Fourth, I lived in a small town with small surrounding communities, everyone knew each other, and even at that age I knew that our town and surrounding towns were gossipy. Fifth, I was very shy with low self esteem and didn't want to draw attention to myself, I use to walk with my head down and I got bullied every day by the other kids. Going back to the second reason, when my relatives learned of what my uncle did to, me, as well as what he did to my sister, my cousins, my aunt and others, almost all of them turned their back on us and called us liars. The other few said they believed us, but still continued to spend time with him and act like nothing happened. When I told my other uncle,( his brother), his response was that "females ruin men's lives by saying these things, and it's only sex" I then reminded him that I was only a child and his response was "so, that was in the past". I didn't know how to respond to that comment, especially when my rapist uncle tried things on his (my other uncles) wife. She experienced what he was like and she didn't believe us either, (a kindergarten teacher) it was so strange. Anyways, dozens of us have come forward and charged him, his trial is this January. BTW my aunt who also pressed charges on him, for repeated molestation and rape when she was a child as well as repeatedly in her adult years when she became disabled and couldn't defend herself, she was supposed to testified in January as well but she passed away a few months ago. She was such a sweet sole and I miss her very much, and in January, when I go to testify I'm going to wear a flower and say a prayer for her.
Thank you for sharing your story. I’m sorry you have to go through that. I can personally relate because a family member molested me, and I didn’t tell my mom until I was 23. After I told her, she ran to my grandma and asked my uncle if his kids were molested by -this person- too. I felt exposed. To this day, they act like nothing happened when they see him. Makes me feel sick.

I know what you are going through and that is why you have to choose yourself and cut these toxic ass people out of your life. I don't want to be the one to say this but working a lot has helped me cope. People say money doesn't buy you happiness but I worked until I could afford therapy and find hobbies that could keep me busy to cope with the pain.
Once I've healed (it's been a process) I will pursue a relationship eventually. But trust me... been through multiple abusive relationships (family and partners). Having a goal in mind got me to safety. Preserve YOU above all else.

I'm truly sorry for your guys' experience, I've also experienced it, at the hand of a family member and then at 15 I was raped by four men repeatedly for over 8 hours. I've been in therapy so long I don't remember a time when I haven't been in therapy, but I guess all we can do is heal and grow and stand together and fight against these monsters

Of all days my visitation. I could have picked any day over many year…” WHAT!? that just shows he’s been thinking about doing this for that long! No one innocent would back up their claims that after all these years he could have abused her, all the opportunities he had, why on that day that so conveniently was during a divorce/custody battle! And of course, fooling around with your adopted daughter (making sure to tell the world they didn’t do anything til she was 21 ewww) doesn’t make him look good at all.

not really, they wanted to have a kid together but after trying she couldn’t get pregnant. so she asked him if he would be open to adopting instead and he said yes as long as the kid looked caucasian like both of them, since her other adopted kids were poc from third world countries and he had wanted the adopted kid to look similar to what their own biological white genes would look like together. the odd part is that he preferred a girl over a boy, but their relationship wasn’t weird yet, so ig she thought it was just a preference not bad intentions :/

I'm a child of divorced parents and can confirm that the parent accusing the brainwashing, is the one doing the brainwashing. My mother brainwashed myself and two younger siblings. I didn't realize the extent until a few years ago at age 26 when my sister confided in me that while I was in the hospital after being crushed between two cars, just a few months after giving birth to my first born, there was a day where I was in my room in the trauma department where my nurse had withheld all my meds for four rounds claiming "when you [myself] dropped the attitude, then I would get my meds" that was the same day my mother bragged about telling that nurse that I was a drug seeker and to not give me my medications.
I wasn't even an addict but still, no one should have been treated the way I was. I almost died from being in horrific pain.
My sister waited years before telling me because she was terrified by our mother. Now, I have no contact with both my mother and my sister because despite my sister knowing how awful my mother has been, she's too brainwashed to cut contact and ultimately was sucked back in to the brainwashing.

The extent of the medical abuse and the injuries developed into an incurable condition called CRPS, where I'm in excruciating pain 24/7. If it wasn't for therapy and group therapy, I'd probably be a shell of myself.
The mom is just as much to blame imo. She even said to not let babysitters alone with her husband and child. ALSO the babysitters who saw these awful signs and did nothing about it

Two things: I don't think a father or step-dad holding a small child in only a diaper is inherently inappropriate, and not taking a polygraph is a smart move for most people since they are not known to be completely reliable and can produce both faulty and incriminating data in certain circumstances. That said, I believe Dylan and I think Woody is a total creep. What happened with Soon-Yi is 100% grooming. I don't care how close or not they were during her teenage years, or how neglectful Mia may have been. NEVER okay.

Thank you for speaking about molestation. I am a survivor of molestation and I can say the pain, struggles and trauma never goes away. I have learned to live with it and been to therapy throughout my life, read books and do numerous things to cope with the aftermath. My heart hurts for all out there who have also been molested and raped. If anybody out there needs support please contact me if you need. It's still horrific how we are NOT believed, how many people say such judgmental and horrible things to me and so many people still shame, blame and so forth. I believe and have always believe Dylan. He is a monster as all molesters are. He as all molesters should be in prison for life period. My sister does not speak to me because I told the truth and has been horribly abusive to me in the past regarding coming forth with the truth. It is so challenging and painful to speak up. I suffered in silence for most of my life and now I refuse to be silent. I try and help, support others. Whomever you are that is a survivor you are NOT alone. I care and will listen, support and do anything I can to help anybody in need. I know what it feels like to NOT have the support, care, understanding and help I so badly needed when I was growing up. I have gone to numerous therapist and took me years to find the right therapist for me. It's NOT easy, yet don't give up.
