As someone (myself) who has been abused by a trusted family member I know what grooming is and what it looks like! That’s the definition of being brainwashed and groomed. When people join a cult, they aren’t chained up and forced are they? I don’t really understand how people think it’s not suspect. Sure it’s not illegal (that we know of)... but could you imagine dating your mom’s ex that you knew as a child? It’s very obvious that Mia definitely contributed to all this.. but that doesn’t make it less suspect and creepy. The fact is.. the girl obviously has no support system that isn’t somehow tied to her husband. A husband that she married under suspicious circumstances in the first place! It truly is just her and Woody Allen against the world isn’t it? Do you think she would even be aware if any other option? It’s not like she can turn to her mother!
Could she though? The woman has literally not done anything else with her life (no career, no other romantic relationships, no charitable work or outings without Woody there, zilch.). Especially if she was indeed groomed as a child / teenager, you're talking about her just magically undoing years of conditioning all by herself. Walking away from him at any point over the past 30 years would have meant (and would still mean) breaking away from everything she knows, including finances, food and shelter. If the allegations are true, then it'd be so much harder for Soon-Yi to get out of her situation than you'd think. And hey, there's always the possibility that she's in so deep both mentally and physically by now, she doesn't see the point in leaving or simply doesn't desire to.

It is not a matter of believing. Just do some research and look at the facts. Not all men and women support the 'hate all men' movement. The affair with Soon-Yi began when she was 21. Before that they hardly ever met. Shows you have no idea what you are talking about.
Mr. Previn not Allan was the father figure to Soon-Yi. The timeline of Allan-Farrow relationship does not support Allan being in that position ever. In regards to his current wife what Allan did was not illegal but it was not ethical either. Ms. Farrow contributed to Allan's acquittal by coaching the girl and stopping the tape to re-record segments leading the court to question and dismiss the tape proving furthermore that Allan as a director and Farrow none. She single handedly set him free.
Soon-Yi is fine with it. He wasn’t her dad. Is it weird to steal your mom’s bf? Sure. But that’s it, there’s nothing else to it
