1983 SPECIAL REPORT: "WAYNE WILLIAMS SPEAKS OUT ON THE ATLANTA CHILD MURDERS"

  • Wayne Williams, an Atlanta native who was 23 years old at the time of the last murder, was arrested, tried, and convicted of two of the adult murders and sentenced to two consecutive life terms. Police subsequently have attributed a number of the child murders to Williams, although he has not been charged in any of those cases, and Williams himself maintains his innocence, although the killings ceased after his arrest. In March 2019, the Atlanta police, under the order of Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, reopened the cases in hopes that new technology will lead to a conviction for the murders that were never resolved

This media interview just reinforces my opinion on this case. Here Wayne Williams comes off as a man who is relieved and almost elated for not having been convicted of any of the child murders. He seems comfortable being a prisoner and that never sat well with me. An innocent man would not behave like this in my opinion. Wayne Williams is all smiles in this early interview as well as in the interviews that came years later. He seems to be enjoying all of this a bit too much. Also one thing that no one has ever been able to explain is why did the murders stop after Wayne was locked up?

But they tried to blame him for the deaths of children all of whom were killed with differing m/o's . The city was losing revenue due to the amount of child kilings the news was repoeting . So the city put pressure on the police to paint Wayne Williams with the serial killer brush to convince potential customers of its hotels and venues to come back to Atlanta . If they could insinuare that one person was behind all of that crime then when they encarcerated that person suddenly Atlanta is safe again . He was a scapegoat .

Hairs found on multiple victims ruled out more than 98% of the people in the world and guess who is in the less than 2% it could be.... Wayne Williams... Ironic that he mentions Patrick Rogers. Issac Rogers (Patrick’s younger brother) identified Wayne Williams as the man on the stairs that followed him back to Miss Willie Mae’s apartment before she opened the door to save him.
Issac said he would never forget his face. That is something I can believe.
Wayne Williams is such a unique looking person that, once you see him, you don’t forget him.
I was 13 when they caught Wayne Williams and posted his face all over the media. To this day I still remember his face from seeing it on the news.
I think like John Wayne Gacy, Wayne Williams may have flashed a badge and presented himself as a cop to lure some of the children. He used his music talent search as another ploy to bring them to his house.
I don’t think he killed the children that had body parts removed as one of the Mom’s had stated.

I believe Isaac Rogers when he said Wayne was after him. He also used his "talent scout" ruse to put him in direct contact with youngsters. I do not believe that Wayne is a killer, but he definitely knew what was going on and he played a part. Wayne was a child pornographer who took nude pictures of young boys and teenagers and he procured some of the victims for a sex-for-hire pedophile ring operating in Atlanta during the height of the murders.

If the killer moved elsewhere there would be a spike of child murders somewhere in the states, at least 3 I would guess. Which would draw attention because there would be too many similarities to Atlanta. Plus this killer wouldn't have stopped after getting off with someone else going down for it, he'd feel invincible. He wouldn't be nearly as careful, he would've made some sort of mistake and he wouldn't be able to stay dormant for any notable length of time after killing so many children. Plus having someone else locked up for those crimes and I doubt this killer would be able to keep quiet for long, serial killers have a bizarre notion of copyright almost they don't like not getting credit for their work and they hate other people getting credit. Yes some have gone to the grave and possibly the Atlanta child killer would've been one he did take some extreme precautions and didn't publicly taunt the police. However the killings ceased once Wayne was apprehended and no spike of child killing occurred in any other city or state.
It's a bit like the Jack the Ripper case not in violence but in the way the killings stopped. Famously Jack the Ripper was never caught, there have been a number of suspects over the years. If one of these suspects is guilty I would believe Charles Alana Lechmere to be the guilty one. However Apart form I believe two killing a year or so later, Jack never killed again. Likely these two murders were staged to look like ripper killings they're just wasn't enough similarity, serial killers cannot stop only take breaks long breaks but to stop is impossible for them. My theory with Jack is he either moved some eyewitness accounts do suggest he may have been a sailor, or he died suddenly after his last killing. Both of these theories make sense and Jacks later killings were never picked up upon, but unlikely given his personal MO. Jack shover he was was indeed a sick sick man I look what he did to Mary Kelly, so my belief is he most likely died unless he travelled to a part of the world, were such violent crimes were not so uncommon.
Again this just comes down to a simple fact Wayne is put away the killings cease, there are no spike in child murders in any other state or city. This killer was prolific he would not and could not stop killing, another man in prison for his crimes. He would feel like god couldn't touch him, he'd kill more if anything. My opinion Wayne Williams is the Atlanta Child Killer & is exactly where he belongs he took advantage of racial tension, racial profiling, used his own race to gain trust with boys who would not trust white people or the police, he also took advantage poverty and child prostitution going on in Atlanta and young black boys with dreams of stardom. This is also case that is not talked about enough and one thing it shows is this word bother and sister the is used so casually epically in black communities, needs to stop just because they have the same skin colour doesn't mean you owe them anything. They may not want anything but to drag you down or even hurt you. Your Brother and your sister share blood and have a parent same as you. Overfamiliarity was used as bate here.

Wow, you certainly said a lot, lol, but your comments were engrossing. I have researched the Atlanta murders for several years and I would like to share with you some of the things that I discovered. First of all, it is a common notion that the murders ceased after Wayne was arrested, but that is NOT true. The series of murders that Wayne and his attorney are discussing in this video are victims who were murdered after he went to prison. At least 10-15 of the later victims met all of the parameters of being added to the official Task Force List. Their age, their geographical locations and manner of death all fit the criteria to be added to the List, so again, the murders didn't stop when Wayne was arrested.
Something the majority of people who feel like Wayne is guilty don't know, is that there were a couple of "sets" of murders going on. The first victims are young, little kids. Then the next set of victims are teenagers, then the next set of victims are men in their 20s. What do 20 year old convicted felons have to do with kids?? Serial killers rarely change patterns, they have a "type" that they stalk and murder. A serial killer would not start out killing 8,9,10 year olds, then upgrade to adults. That simply isn't the MO of serial killers!
Here's another fact that most people don't know is that the actual murders of young boys stopped months before Wayne was arrested. So the question that comes to my mind is did someone else go to jail, or a mental health facility, or was in some sort of way incapacitated to kill and that's why little boys were no longer going missing and murdered?? Even the police didn't have a justifiable reason why the victims started getting older.
I enjoyed your thoughts on the Ripper, because that is another case that interests me. I contend that Jack was seriously mentally ill. He was from the dregs of society. I've never quite come up with the reason Jack killed, when did he get started? A lot of serial killers start out as sex offenders and gradually ascend to murder, so what was Jack doing before he started killing? As you pointed out, serial killers don't stop killing on their own. Something happens to them that prevents them from killing: prison, mental health facility, illness or death. I think Jack was committed to a asylum where he probably died.
Back to the Atlanta Murders: the truth of the matter is that there was no lone wolf in Atlanta killing kids. There were at least 3 or more killers operating in Atlanta during the height of the murders. For starters, the official Task Force list muddied the waters, because they added victims to the List that didn't belong there. The 2 girls on the list were not a part of the other murders. There was no reason to believe that Wayne killed them. Again, we agree that serial killers rarely change patterns so killing over 2 dozen boys, then killing 2 girls makes no sense! The girls made the List because their parents joined up with other victims mothers and protested against the Atlanta police. Some of the murders were a part of inner city violence. Some of the victims, especially the teenagers, were involved in drugs and gangs and may have been murdered by drug dealers or rival gang members. There are at least 2 victims on the List that the FBI believes were killed by either a relative or a family friend in domestic violence. Then there are victims who do fit into a serial pattern. These murders were unique in that all of those victims were involved in either a child pedophile sex ring, or prostitution. While investigating the murders, the FBI discovered a sex-for-hire ring involving pedophiles and minor boys. Some of these poor kids were willing to do anything for money, so they were paid to pose for nude pictures and to have perverted sex acts performed on them. That is what the majority of the kids on the List were doing. They were being sexually abused by pedophiles that they knew, and some of them were being pimped out by pedophiles. You have to look at the many connections between victims. They lived in the same neighborhood, or went to school together or played together, they knew each other!! Some of the teenage victims were procuring the young boys to the sex ring because they were getting paid to do that. They never imagined that the little boys would be murdered. Next, the teenage procurers started to be missing and murdered. Then the victims became grown men. The members of the sex ring could not afford to be revealed so they killed the little boys. The teenagers knew them personally, so again, get rid of the witnesses. The goal of the sex ring was to indulge in illicit sex with minors and not be caught. I contend that the pedophiles were esteemed members of the community, like teachers, ministers, policemen and possibly city officials. So where does Wayne Williams fit into all of this?? I am about 95% sure that Wayne was a child pornographer and a procurer of young boys for the sex ring. Wayne took nude pictures of the boys, then these pics were passed around the ring, so "clients" could choose a boy that he wanted, and Wayne likely took the boy to the client. Wayne used his ruse as a "talent scout" to put him in direct contact with youngsters without drawing a lot of attention. Wayne knew the victims and the killers. I don't believe that he personally killed anyone, but he knew who did the killing and he may have helped dispose of some of the bodies. So that's Wayne's involvement in the Atlanta Murders, not a murderer, but a child pornographer. Now I'm going to include a list of names that I want you to research regarding the murders:
      Jamie Brooks
      Ricky Hawkins
      Tom Terrell
      Frankie Mealing
      Jerry Thornton
      John David Wilcoxen
      Frank Hardy
      Lionel St. Louis
      Larry Marshall
      Charles Sanders
Do a little research on these people, then comment on what you find.

@Raymond Chow For what reason?? The mental climate in Atlanta during the height of the murders was chaotic and very scary!! Kids were traumatized by the thought of getting snatched off the streets, and parents were scared to let their children out of their sights!! The police couldn't offer the public any information on why kids were coming up dead. Poor black people in the communities where kids were disappearing didn't trust the police. Some even suspected the police of the murders!!! Then there were the rumors of Klan involvement, and of course, black people were very upset and concerned. In certain housing projects, people were patrolling with bats and guns. It was crucial!! By the time Wayne came along, EVERYBODY was ready for Atlanta's nightmare to be OVER!!! 2 weeks after he was arrested, the Task Force dismantled, and the investigation was over!! So when a few kids came up murdered AFTER Wayne was in jail, the police treated them like regular street crimes, and the media reported them that way!! So that's what I meant when I said, "The police stopped counting, and the media stopped reporting!" Murders in Atlanta that met the parameters of the official Task Force list continued to happen up until 1988, SIX years after Wayne was incarcerated!! So, to answer your question, NO, I'M NOT SILLY, I have done YEARS of research on the Atlanta Murders, and I am very informed about the murders!

PERIOD. The 2 females were not included .There is SO much overwhelming evidence that proves Wayne is GUILTY. Fingerprints from the children were found in his car, on tapes, on dash boards, as well as the carpet fibers, and dog hairs were all found on those victims. These are ALL in the FBI files on Wayne Williams. Black people need to WAKE UP to the truth, and stop living in denial, thinking that a Black man could not commit those crimes. I guess the people who got away from Wayne in his attempt to abduct them are ALL lying as well. Black folks gotta wake up. As well as the Bridge incident, out of ALL the people in Atlanta, it happened to just be Wayne Williams dumping bodies off bridges in the wee hours of the night, and he just so happen to have matching carpet fibers, dog hairs, as well as his hair on victims throughout the case. Never believe Books mate. I used to do research for a couple of great True Crime authors, and you'd be surprised the amount of hood winkery and dodgyness other Authors would do to try and sell a few Books including manufacturing and forging documents to suit their Cause. Same as TV shows/Documentaries they always have one side they want to tell and sell, whether its the truth or not. You can only really go from Police records. And the Police records on this man are pretty conclusive.

I believe Williams had everything to do with the murder of those innocent children. I don't believe he acted alone however. I've heard all kinds of stories about paedophile rings, the klan, Satanists. The pedo ring and Satanists sounds plausible. I think Williams, just like Gacy and Corll, was involved in some kind national, maybe even an international trafficking ring that supplied kids to pervs. He strikes me as a sicko. He was definitely in cahoots with a group of people. He didn't pull this off on his own. No way.

Too many people just don't want to "see" the truth and that's a shame. Even James Baldwin refused to face the truth. See Baldwin's, “The Evidence of Things Not Seen.”
