- I am at Prime BBQ Smokehouse in Monroe, OH to take on their All Meat Sampler Challenge. This challenge has seven different meats including pulled chicken, pulled pork, brisket, ribs, smoked sausage, smoked chicken and rib tips. It also comes with four sides that I got to choose from and I went with green beans, baked beans, mac and cheese, and potato salad. It is served with pickles and four pieces of Texas toast. This platter is more than enough for a family but I will have just 30 minutes to complete this and if I do I will get the meal for free and become the first winner of this delicious undefeated challenge! The food is amazing and there are three locations, all of which offer this as a challenge. It was the weekend after Thanksgiving and while everyone was out shopping, we did something way better - ate BBQ! I want to thank owner Eddie for inviting me to come out and attempt this challenge, we had a great time and enjoyed some delicous food!

I agree with you 💯 creamy Mac and cheese, the creamier the better 😊!!!! I never understood the concept putting breadcrumbs on it and baking it.

Congratulations on being the 1st to win this. This looked delicious! I love BBQ. As for Mac-n-cheese, I prefer a creamier Mac-n-cheese with a little skin on top. Baked does not have to be dry. Favorite BBQ item depends on where it comes from. Overall, brisket and Jalapeño smoked sausage are always good. 👍

Awesome job, Eli. My favorite bbq would be pulled pork and brisket, then ribs. Never smoked turkey, everybody always cooks that dry a** breast meat, I'm not down with that. And definitely the creamy Mac & Cheese, I tried the baked with the bread crumbs once, never again. Great video, my friend. 👍👍

Great job finishing that challenge Eli and it looked really good! I like creamy mac and cheese too. When I was a kid my mom always made that baked mac and cheese that was hard and not spread out on the macaroni completely and I didn't like it, then when I was in high school my stepmom made creamy mac and cheese with Velveeta that was real good.
Thank you and I never had the firmer mac & cheese until I met my wife. That's all they ate and I had to pretend to like it!

Your wife is 100% correct. " baked" Mac and cheese is for real Mac and cheese. Whether it is topped with breadcrumbs or not. Eli, the Mac and cheese is cooked on top of the stove and then placed in a preheated oven for just a few minutes until it's golden brown. It shouldn't be in long enough to " dry out". If enough cheese, eggs and butter, and cream is used, it will still be nice and creamy.

I agree with what you said, I believe her family likes it on the dryer side. (Almost like cutting a slice out of it instead of scooping it out) That way is not for me, but the way you described it sounds great!

Eli that was a heck of a challenge for 30 minutes. Definitely for the pros. The BBQ looked delicious the sides too. My macaroni preference is like yours for certain. Not crispy or crunchy. Great video.

My favorite is sausage, brisket, pulled pork and ribs.
Great choices, I would probably have sausage in my top 3 and possibly top 2. The one thing I will say about a firmer Mac and cheese is that it is better if you want to cut it into squares the next day for deep frying.

Thank you and I am glad you liked the video! It's a fairly big challenge with a short time limit but it is very good and still has a reasonable cost if you lose.

I live and work a mile from this location. I have to say their ribs are the worst I've ever had from a BBQ joint. They're tough and rubbery. I have tried them on many occasions giving them a second chance. That being said, I believe they have the best brisket I've ever had in my life. Tender, juicy with the burnt crust. It is phenomenal.
I really loved the brisket. That was the highlight of the challenge!

Normally I’d stay out of #MacAndCheeseGate2024, but this time I can give my honest opinion. I kinda like both kinds 😅. But it’s just a side. Sorry mac and cheese, but you can’t even begin to compete with pulled pork and smoked brisket 😋
The thing about BBQ challenges is it is always weighed out after being cooked so it is true weight. It can be difficult and sodium heavy as well. Honestly mac and cheese wouldn't make my top 10 with side dishes!
