- I am at The Oven in Owensboro, KY with @DaGarbageDisposaland we are each about to take on The Big "O" pizza challenge. This is a six pound deep dish pizza filled with three pounds of meats of your choosing. It comes with a 30 minute time limit and if we are succsssful we will get the meal for free, get an awesome T-shirt, go up on their Wall of Fame and become the first winners of this challenge. Let's see, Eli finished that 8 lb pizza in Central City KY in 57 minutes but that included a shake. So, we have a 6 lb pizza, and it should in theory take 3/4 as long but .... eating slows down towards the end so by doing some calculus, I figure Eli gets ths one in 22:56
Side comment : I woujld love to see this Eli go up the QB Eli Manning and see if he can outeat a super bowl winning quarterback.
Well, common sense tells me my calculations should have said you just got it under the wire.
That's about as suspenseful as it gets.
And I have a good friend in Owensboro so this is one restaurant I might actually visit.
They are great people and I enjoyed the pizza. This was a tough one but it was full of flavor.

I watched both y’all’s vids at the same time(Brandon’s on iPad, Eli’s on iPhone w/pauses when needed to keep them in sync) and this reminded me a little of Big Poppa’s big chili dog one, 30 min limit, y’all going close to the wire also. This one looked harder (twss) and you both like a came big(wss) in the clutch! They made it 45 min, so I may try it We’ll see. Keep being you fellas and thx 🙏 for all y’all do!

The comment about McDonald's ice cream machines... they design the milkshake/ ice cream machines to be faulty ON PURPOSE so the franchise owners have to shell out a ton of money to have a tech, also in cahoots w McDonald's, to come in and punch in a code that will fix the issue. They won't give the codes out in the manuals. You have to call a technician and pay a small fortune for them to put in a code that the company won't allow you to have. The cleaning process is designed to be faulty as well, which forces the automatic 4 hour cleansing process to repeate over and over until, once again, forces the owner to shell out a ridiculous amount of money for a tech who will simply enter a code, and it's magically fixed. This is why they are always down. It's on purpose! McDonald's is partnered w the ppl who make and fix the machines, so when they "break down," it's all profit for them. There's a great documentary about the entire scheme. It's super messed up.

It needed more marinara and cheese. I believe with less meat and more sauce and cheese it will be great. This was their first time making this pizza.

nicely done. I could do that, (would take me 2 days eating it for breakfast lunch n dinner with maybe a midnight snack) gots to admit, bacon sounds great but like you I think it would get overpowering and difficult to eat after awhile with that much pizza. have a great week.
If I had to do it again I would swap out bacon for ground beef.
They either puked violently within and hour or 2 or took the evacuation dump of a lifetime the next morning. We're talking like a 10 flusher minimum...

You guys were great guinea pigs. I’m glad the restaurant adjusted the time and ingredients to make the challenge more enjoyable to try - that’s really great of them! Unwinnable and pros only challenges just aren’t in the spirit of food challenges.
