    I just want to say that washing your hair once a week doesn't work for everybody. So I had always seen in the videos how we should wash our hair once a week and how in the starting it might feel weird but then your hair will get used to it and produce less oil. But that never worked for me. I tried for a long long time to only wash my hair once a week but I noticed a lot of my hair falling out when I did that. Sometimes for some people this doesn't work because the dirt builds up over the week and clogs the pores, thus making you hair fall out. I read this under some video and this completely changed the game for me. I wash my hair 2-3 times a week and I have noticed a reduction in my hair fall. I hope someone else benefits from this :)

      What works for some might not work for others, true, however trying to wash it less often is good for your scalp. I'm no expert but if you normally get quite a bit of built up have you ever tried using clarifying shampoos? I rely on dry shampoo to space out my washes and need such a shampoo once in a while to make sure that build up is removed.

    • @wildheart6074
      @wildheart6074 Pƙed 4 lety +1

    When you wash your hair everyday and wash away the oil from your scalp, your scalp produces more and more oil because it thinks “holy crap, all that oil is already gone” and wants to protect your scalp and condition your hair. When you wash it less, the oil sits on your scalp longer so your scalp has no reason to overproduce oil because it thinks it has enough.
    It’s the same with your face and the natural oils it produces to condition and moisturise you’re skin. 💕
    Thanks for sharing girl!!

    • @justynawisniewska1213
      @justynawisniewska1213 Pƙed 4 lety +5

      It does not really work like that for most people with oily hair. There are so many more things to it like hormones, genetics, how much you comb it or change your hairstyle, play with it in general, if your hair is thick or thin (thin hair looks visibly oily way quicker). Due to social isolation I have been washing my hair once in 3 days on average instead of daily for over a month and guess what? It gets oily just as quickly as it always did.

    • @LindaRosem
      @LindaRosem Pƙed 4 lety

      Justyna Wisniewska Yea there are always other health and genetic factors that can a part for sure!! And it takes time anyhow to change the way your body produces oil. Like for me, my hair is naturally super dry and doesn’t seem to produce any oil at all, so have always washed my hair less frequently because it tends to dry it out even more. I mean for my whole life I like didn’t even think my hair produced its own natural oils and thought it was just a frizz ball. But then I heard about what I shared above and I tried to do water only rinsing as I heard it heard it helps make your natural oils condition your hair and it produces more oils for described reasons, and for time in life I could actually FEEL my hair’s natural oils. It was crazy! But it wasn’t over night or anything, it’s a gradual change and it can weeks and sometimes months to see it fully change to where you want it to be!
      But yea I do agree there are other factors too for sure some times!! â˜ș

I can agree--I wasn't doing it for hair growth, but I just decided to switch my part one day after a wash, and the curls dried more voluminously (bc my hair wasn't used to be combed in that direction, maybe?)

    Also extra tips: frequent scalp massage, sleep on satin or silk pillowcase (less breaking or frizz), or use a bonet. Use a wood hair brush or comb to avoid breaking or frizz. Apply argan/ coconut/ olive oil on the ends every time before washing it, and you will have to cut it a lot less frequently. You're welcome.

    I don’t know if it’s just me but when I used oil on my hair it would make my baby hairs not grow. I really don’t know what it was but the oil knock everything out of place. Here are some tips to grow your hair. The fastest and safest way:
    1💜💜💜: Don’t mess with your PH balance or porosity by using apple cider vinegar and rice water. If you don’t use it the right way or if you use it too much your hair can become extremely fragile and break without any tension.
    2✹✹✹: DONT use so much shampoo, if you have oily hair train your hair to not be so oily. Skip 1 day without washing a gradually add another day without wash. If you want to have your curls out co wash. But don’t cut out shampoo completely you need to have a clean scalp so your hair can grow easily. I recommend using shampoo once a week.
    3đŸ„”đŸ„”đŸ„”: DONT dye or color your hair. If you want to lighten your hair mix a small amount of baking soda, lemon, and cinnamon apply throughout your hair and sit in the sun for 15 minutes. Flip you hair side to side so everything gets some sun. This can be drying but it’s a lot better than dying your hair. If you do want to dye your hair try not to use heat after and take care of your hair strands.
    4😘😘😘: Try not to use so much oil. I know this contradicts everything you’ve been told on the internet but oil can clog the hair follicles and like in my case my baby hairs started falling out so it gave me an egg face look.
    5😌😌😌: Eat healthy!!!!! You can’t expect your hair to grow fast if you drink power aid for breakfast and taco bell for lunch. And also drink lots of water. It will make your skin glowđŸ€©
    6🎂🎂🎂: Leave your hair alone!!!! Stop putting hair mask in everyday, don’t tug your hair. Let it breathe and be free. Also for a bonus tip get trims twice a year. If your doing everything that is stated above you won’t have to go every month. Personally since I have very curly hair I get hair cuts twice a year. But adjust to whether you hair is damaged or completely healthy.
    This is my ultimate hair guide😘

    You have no idea how much I can relate to you! My hair is currently at that awkward lenght which I don’t vibe with at all, I like it either short or long. Also I learned the hard way that people who charge $100 to dye your hair are going to f it up. Same happened to me, twice and I was thinking I went to a good hair salon but in fact it wasn’t 😂 After she dyed my hair I could see streaks on the hair and I was shocked because I was looking at all these girls and I was like “Why isn’t theirs like this?”. Then I went to a pro and she really fixed it and I paid $250 which kinda broke my heart to pay that much but I have go give it to her, she did a correct job. She also gave me a list of products for my hair and I can see it getting a little healthier. About the oiliness I feel like it’s much more noticeable at the awkward lenght. When I had short hair I could stay a week without washing and it would still look amazing. Same with longer hair BUT with this lenght is so so hard. Also mind you I did a silly silly mistake in December and went in a cheap cheap salon and get a damn haircut for $4, she f ed my hair up so bad and not only my hair is at an akward lenght but it is also recovering from the haircut which I got fixed but it still needs time to grow. Sorry for the rant but I just hope someone will learn something from this :) Don’t get a cheat haircut by someone you don’t know. Don’t go to a hair salon and think a cheap price would do a good job cause it won’t. They might do a decent job for $100 but I’m telling you far from well done. AND ALSO keep in mind that a cheap hair stylist doesn’t know to do what you ask for, they usually only know what they were taught in school so if you ask for something complicated they won’t want to lose the money and they’ll just do something that might not even be close to it.

    Before a little bit of time,I started making a mask with garlic bc my hair wasn't growing at all and I did tha mask for like 1 or 2 months not more and for these 2 months my hair grew A LOT and when I say A LOT I mean it.I didn't measure it before and after but it grew maybe 3 or 4 fingers.And I have so so much new hair growing in the front side.
    This was the mask that really saved me,nothing else worked for me.

      Well you have to mix garlic juice wit olive oil,DON'T use garlic juice on it's self.Then you put it all over your scalp and make a massage for 10-15 mins.
      Then you cover your head with something and sleep with the mask.
      WARNING:Garlic has a really strong smell,if you wash properly your hair after the mask,your hair it's not gonna smell when it's dry but it's goona smell every time your hair is wet.So bc of this it's better to start this mask in fall or winter bc in summer you're going on the beach,you're sweating and when your hair gets a little wet it's gonna smell so be careful when you do the mask.
      Your hair is gonna stop smelling at all at least two months after you totally stop making the mask.
      I think 1 time a week is totally enough.
      Btw I started a new hair mask,I'm gonna have results in 3 weeks if someone is interested I can share them.🙂

    I'm wearing a hijab.. I don't go out a lot but I go to school every school day so I have to ponytail my hair ever since I was a kid and now i really starts to see bald spots everytime I comb my hair.. That's why recently I got a haircut.. and using rice water as a cure.. I haven't seen any yet cause I've been using it for like 3 times but I'm willing to try EVERYTHING (naturally, ofc) to get a healthy thick long hair! But for now, I'm loving my short hair 😊

      I wear hijab too! I personally wear a loose bun under my scarf and make sure the hair at the front of my scalp isn't being stretched (this has helped a lot with any receding hairline issues). Also, I have been doing rice water masks every week and this has changed my hair so much! Its longer, shinnier, and new hair has been growing (alhmadulilah). I also recommend to use the LUSH "honey I washed my hair" shampoo bar :))

      Salaam sister, I'm a hijabie too :) the trick is to put your hair into a loose bun at the nape of your neck, instead of having it in a ponytail. Also wear silk or satin hijabs which will protect your hair even more x

    Omg I feel the struggle of being blonde... washing my hair less has really been helping though and using a good oil :) Also now because of covid I'm not going to see my hairdresser for my roots for a while hahaha
