This was the summit of Pink Floyd live performances. It's sad to see Richard Wright, knowing that he's 'gone' now. Why should I be frightened of dying? There's no reason for it. You've got to go sometime. RIP RW!

At the beginning of the 70s, Pink Floyd made a documentary in the 2,500-year-old amphitheater of Pompeii behind closed doors.Until 2016, no one was allowed to play live in front of an audience in this historic building. To this day, only David has been allowed to perform live there. This concert can be described without exaggeration as historical and magical. Of course, David also shot a live DVD of this concert, which is very successful in sales.Btw; Pink Floyd needed 24 trucks for the light show alone.

The whole Pulse concert is awesome and David Gilmour is my favorite guitarist. If you want to check out another great live performance from Pulse, I suggest the song 'Sorrow'. I was fortunate enough to see David Gilmour on his solo tour in 2016. If you ever want to check out anything from that, it's under 'David Gilmour, Live from Pompeii, 2016."

My favourite album from them tho' is "Animals", but it's difficult to pick out one song on this album...it's like a book. Pink Floyd has officially broke up after the band released their album *The Endless River* in 2014. An album of unfinished tracks (mostly from Richard Wright - keyboardist who died in 2008) that was recorded during Pink Floyd's *"LAST OFFICIAL ALBUM"* 1994's *The Division Bell.*
Roger Waters still releases new albums & tours with his band.
David Gilmour will put an album out now & then & tour. Basically, he has mostly retired.
Nick Mason currently put a band together & tours that plays Pink Floyd early material before *The Dark Side of the Moon* album.

Someone once said that David Gilmour's guitar solos are basically the equivalent of drinking fine French champagne. But Pink Floyd basically set the bar for the "Big Stadium Rock Show" back then. It may feel a bit anachronistic now, but I guess today's younger generation enjoy it as much as us old farts did back in the day. Rock is dead they say, Long Live Rock! 😄

Saw hem live 4 times, including twice in the 1970s with Roger Waters still in the band. Also saw David Gilmour twice in the same week in the mid 1980s and Roger Waters 4 times solo, the first time with Eric Clapton taking a stab at Pink Floyd classics. I am beyond lucky enough to have seen Dark Side of the Moon 3 times in its entirety, also have seen classic Floyd do all of Echoes, Wish You Were Here and Animals, lastly saw Roger do the entire Wall. I am beyond lucky, this music will be listened to for centuries and I saw it right in front of me. I guess my generation hit the musical lottery, the first 2 times I saw them in the 1970s it was $8.50 a ticket. Do Echoes, live at Pompeii, it is a 2 part video from the ruins they set up at in 1972, it will blow your minds! Enjoy. 🎵🎹🎸🎷

Guys, if you get the chance to catch a Roger Waters solo tour, definitely go. I've seen him twice, once on the tour for The Wall in 2011, which was an amazing production, and his tour in 2017, which was just as much a production, although not affiliated with any one album.
His tours are absolutely amazing, both musically and production wise.

      For an example...
I've known the words to In The Flesh since The Wall's release. But, as an observant Jew, when I saw the theatricality for that song when Roger Waters The Wall's show started up after the intermission in front of the wall that was built across the stage in front of the audience's eyes in the first half of the show, I honestly felt my first real visceral reaction to antisemitism in my life. I know it was a portrayal, and not real sentiment, but it was very, very well done. I literally felt sick to my stomach.
His other productions for other numbers are just about as good, especially for Pigs (Three Different Ones).

Fabulous isn’t it. You clearly enjoyed this version of ‘Comfortably Numb’, so
I highly recommend you try this one too. Even if it’s just for your own personal viewing.
I was lucky enough to see the ‘One Night Only’ Cinema showing of David Gilmour’s return to the Pompeii Amphitheater, in 2016, with his Band.
(Pink Floyd’s previous visit being in 1971, when they were filmed playing ‘Echoes’, in the Centre of the Amphitheater, with no audience).
And this version of ‘Comfortably Numb’, from that 2016 Show, is sensational. This time to an audience.
And what a light Show this has too. All in the stunning setting of this Roman Amphitheater.
The whole Show is stunning. Incredible. David Gilmour is 70 years of age here and his performance is mind blowing.
    Just my own feelings.
Hope you’re able to sample this, if you haven’t already, the setting is sensational. You won’t regret it.
