Could they have made it any more difficult?
Glad I kept the horse!
I thought it would be like my Pontiac, whole bumper needs to come off to get to it, much easier than I expected!
cant even see what you are doing
Thank you for all the feedback, it’s been really helpful. I am going to re-edit the video and add a narration track to walk you the audience through my steps. Thanks again!
Stay tuned...
@All Things Shown have you re-edit the video yet? Because I have a 2013 Cadillac cts and I'm trying to mines dealership charge too much
Is there a way to fix the driver's side shutter on a 2008 Caddy CTS? I read that there has been an issue with the wiring to the solenoid that controls the high beam shutter on the CTS with HID Xeon bulbs. Any information or links would be great. Or if there is NO fix for this, what about changing out both assemblies over to Halogen or LED projector housings? A new pair of those can be had for about half of what just ONE OE HID shutter housing costs? What would be required to make the conversion possible? By now somebody has surley figured out a way to do that! Thanks!
You can't see what you are doing or where anything is at. Did you watch the video before you posted it?
How many parts does it take to change a light bulb?
Can u please tell me y even with a new head light still looks if I don't have any lights when I am driving and what is solution thanks
I replaced my zenon head light which had been going bad but as i was putting the car back together i overtightened one of the 3 screws that goes through the headlight and the screw head broke and the threads are still in the part the metal part the headlight screws into , the one on top to be exact. It seems to still be holding good with the other 2 bottom screws and it doesnt seem to be moving. Would you even worry about replacing that one screw? I dont think its going anywhere. I might just drive it around and see if it loosens any. Thanks your video helped alot by the way.
Thank you for this!!!! 😁
How did you get that white strip of light on the headlights
Thanks man i appreciate i done my yesterday was so easy the delear they charge $300 up
👍👍
Can’t see bulb replacement.
What tools were required? I hear that there are 10mm and 7mm sockets, but are they long sockets or short? If they are the long type, how long do they need to be? Would also like to know the length of the extensions for the wrench.
a 6 inch one or greater would work. for behind the wheel well plastic
My CTs headlights r way different. If I turn left then the actual light turns left
You have the HID's then, his car has the standard halogen setup.
Im finna give it a go saturday morning
How long did process take?
Did you replace the marker light with a white led too?
Yes, I used a led light strip.
@@allthingsshown2456 did you just jam it in there or what? How did it look? Any pics?
Ate we changing a headlight or lost in space.
Cadillac dealer asked $450.00 for replacing day run bulb - white one , I replaced by myself , saved $450.00 :) thanks for video .
Chaim Levi that is awesome!
I think this might have been a worthwhile video if you could see what he was doing. Half the important stuff is done out of the video frame where you can't see it, and what is done is sped up so much you can't really see what he's doing.
Noted, this is one of the first videos that I uploaded, I will get better! :)
So Autozone says there are a daytime, low and high beam that can be replaced. I want to switch to leds. Didn’t look like there was 3 bulbs in the housing?
There is the regular bulb the day time running and the high beam bulb and the turning signal. You have to take apart the headlight assembley to get to them 😥.
GM, the process to change the bulbs on this car is like a bad joke. I have done it twice for my wife's nephew, and in 34 years of driving and maintaining my own vehicles of all makes, foreign and domestic, have I seem any vehicle with a more labor-intensive headlamp bulb change process. Just, wow.
Cadillac Dealer was $400.00 for both headlights. $340.00 of that is for the labor. This LQQKS pretty straightforward and will probably take me a couple of hours if I knew where everything was and have the right tools...Hard to see 100% of what you did.
Good video..but what a pain to take it out..they just don’t make cars that easy anymore to work on
If only you explained anything you did
It would have been better if you could see what you were doing with the headlight and where the bolt was under the wheel well. it was pretty annoying to watch a video when have of the stuff was cut out.
what kind of lightbulb is it?
(JDM ASTAR G1 8000 Lumens LED H11) you can find them on amazon
all things shown, except what the video is supposed to be about. LOL Might want to check the camera view before making the video.
poor filming. The work on the interior of the lighting assembly was not shown. camera was pointed to far down.
This video doesnt help at all...good job
John Kopek my bad, what could have been better?
@@allthingsshown2456 walk through. Close Ups. Detailed descriptions of bolts, location of plastic studs or bolts. Size of bolts. How to tell where to put a low beam or high beam bulb.
💯check out my modded out CTS coupe
I’ll never buy a Cadillac again. GM don’t care about this issue. The touchscreen another expensive problem.
Totally useless can't see half the stuff he did.
Video is worthless
