Remember when it was one or two screws, then realign them on the garage wall or that nifty machine the gas station had? And no hunting for that missing 10 or 11 MM socket.

If you're changing the whole assembly you have to remove or partially remove the bumper. If you just need to replace bulbs you can access it from the wheel well. It'll be tight but it's absolutely possible.

I got to the point where you take the bolt from under the wheel well but they put mine right side up. You were able to take the bolt out from underneath but I can’t even get a tool in there and scraped the crap out of my hand trying lol. So I put everything back together and called it a day. I got a quote and I was told it will cost me over $200 per bulb.

No. The high beam is a H9 bulb

Easy. It’s all in the same assembly.

Isn't that bad but my screw holding the bumper from the fender well broke so I had to drill it out.

Mine too on my STS! (pretty much the same thing). Those 7mm bolts were not impressive. At least mine was 7mm. Why, Cadillac, why?
Having only owned Japanese cars in the past and only picking up a CTS because it was a deal I couldn't pass up, I swear the engineers that designed this thing were actively trying to make some of these simple repairs a pain in the ass 🤦
That's for the reglar filiament type bulb... What about the halogens - they are different...

I’m not going to lie. My 2011 has been a b**ch to work on, but once I do it I figure it out. PLUS it has been so reliable. I’ve got 212k miles and she runs great. Never any major issues

This is a good video… but you need to show people how to put the assembly back inside the car. That’s probably the hardest part of the process and you failed to show it.
