  • Hygiene is very important for humidifiers in general. This short intructional video explains how to clean your Anton humidifier to keep it clean and hygienic. Please repeat the cleaning regularly once every week. It only takes a couple of minutes but improves the humidification result and will make the unit last much longer.

    Hi Stadler! Love my Anton humidifier. Really happy I saved up money for this compared to any cheap unit from other manufacturers.
    Question - I have a issue that comes from the water itself, and not something that is wrong with my unit. There seems to be a slimy/slippery buildup that accumulates on the surfaces. Do you know what it is and what I should do with it?
    I do not use any water hardness filter (yet), as the hardnes test strip did not show any red color change on even the lowest part. This buildup was noticeable after about a week of use.
    it's noticable on all the different plastics (and rubber seal inside tank lid), but mostly on the clear plastic of the tank, tank lid, and silver cube outside. It has no color or obvious smell, but with 2-3 wipes with any cloth it goes away. Thank you :)

      Hi Flakka, thanks for your question and your positive product feedback! The slimy buildup is called biofilm and consists of water with embedded microorganisms. This biofilm should be wiped off using a cloth or a brush. Give the plastic parts a good rinse afterwards (make sure no water enters the air outlet inside the water base). You can also use a little bit of vinegar and let it soak for a couple of minutes before rinsing it thoroughly. To avoid a biofilm you should use fresh, cold tap water, replace the Silver Cube once a year, don't leave water inside the unit while not using it (empty water tank and water base beforehand) and clean the unit regularly. Let us know in case of any further questions. Best regards from Switzerland :-)

      I too have seen and felt the slime you mention, as below, I used white vinegar straight from the bottle - it is already diluted - and it handled the scale and the slime nicely - I cleaned it out perhaps every other week, with 24/7 use over the winter, and just today, May 22, 2019, gave it a complete clean before putting it into storage for the summer.

    Could you tell me what steps I should take if some water gets into the fan outlet?

    • @stadlerform
      @stadlerform  Před 6 lety

      Hi there @NuorvaJ, thank you for reaching out to us. Was it a lot of water or just a little bit? In any case, please do not operate the unit. You may let it dry for 48 hours and then plug it and run the unit. If it does not work any more (depends on the amount of water and possible damage to the electronics), then you would need to reach out to your dealer for repair. Hope this helps. Have a great day!

    Hi, I've cleaned it but there seems to be no mist coming out from the humidifier - does this mean it needs to be repaired?

    • @stadlerform

      Hi there, do the lights on the power adapter and the unit go on? Is there any sign from the unit? Can you hear the fan inside turning? Please try to give me some more information and I am sure, we will be able to work out a solution for you. Have a great day. Best regards from Samuel @ Stadler Form.

    My humidifier started to be really loud and gives less mist than previously (after it is on for some time, e.g. 30 minutes it gets a bit better and more mist comes out). What could be the reason? Is change of parts or repair required?

    • @stadlerform
      @stadlerform  Před 2 lety

      Hi Marta, thank you for your message. Please empty the humidifier, clean it fully (remove all limescale), and replace the anticalc cartridge. Once this is done, please fill the water tank to the max. level, and put it into the unit. Then wait for 10 minutes. After this switch on the unit - everything should be working as normal. If not, please get in touch with us again. All the best from Samuel @ Stadler Form.

    Hey, I cleaned my humidifier just like video requested and the mist isn't coming out. All the lights are on and fans blowing, everything is working normally but no mist

    • @stadlerform
      @stadlerform  Před 2 lety

      Hi there, thank you for the message. Sorry to hear, that your Anton is not working. In this case, it is possible, that the transducer (ultrasonic part) is defective. What you can do is to empty the unit completely. Refill the water tank 100%, insert the tank. Let it sit in the unit for 10 minutes and only then, switch your Anton on. If this helps, very good. If it does not, please get in touch with your dealer/distributor and if those are not available - with us on service@stadlerform.com. Best regards from Samuel @ Stadler Form.

    How do I clean the cube since I have used essential oils in the diffuser?

    • @stadlerform
      @stadlerform  Před 2 lety

      Very good question Linda. You can add detergent (for example Stadler Form Cleaner and Descaler) in a glass and then add the water cube. Let it there for 5-10 minutes and then rinse it wit tap water. If there is a discoloration, try to clean the cube rurther with a towel - it can happen, that some discolouration remains from the essential oils, that does not impact the functonality of the cube. Let us know, if you have any further questions. All the best from Samuel @ Stadler Form.

    Hello , which liquid decal should I use? Does white vinegars work?

    • @stadlerform
      @stadlerform  Před 5 lety +1

      Hey Natalia, thank you for your message. On our channel you will find a video on how to descale humidifiers where vinegar, citric acid and special descaler are compared. All work, all have pros and cons. But if you have vinegar on hand - you can definitely use it. Please make sure to rinse well after cleaning. All the best from Samuel @ Stadler Form.

      that's all I have been using over this past winter, and it is fine. there were a few crusty buildups on the removable "chimney" so I soaked a sponge with vinegar and let it sit till the scale had softened - then it scaped out easily.

      Hi M Ni - good to hear from you. No, you should not wash it in the dishwasher, the material is not made for this. However, the best way to clean your water tank is shown here: czcams.com/video/swF8EFXisZo/video.html - hope that helps. Very simple and efficient technique. Stay safe and healthy. What if Anton doesn't mist anymore?

    • @stadlerform
      @stadlerform  Před 2 lety

      Hi there, it migth be a ton of reasons for this. Does it have water? If yes, does the light on the adapter work? If yes, is it switched on and was it cleaned beforehand (transducer clean)? Did mist get gradually lighter or did Anton stop producing mist out of the blue? Please get in touch with us with a more detailed description on service@stadlerform.com and we surely find a solution for you. Stay healthy and all the best from Samuel @ Stadler Form.

    how to fix a flashing humidifier?

    • @stadlerform
      @stadlerform  Před 8 měsíci

      Hi, is your question regarding the humidifier model Anton or another one of our devices? Depending on the device and the flashing light, it could have a different meaning. Anton doesn't have any flashing lights. In Anton's case, the water level indicator might be glowing red. Means there's either no water inside or the device is calcified. A thorough cleaning and descaling should help. You can find all our devices and their user manuals on stadlerform.com. These manuals describe what each flashing light means and what you can do. Alternatively, you can contact our customer service directly at service@stadlerform.com with a picture of your device and where it's flashing. Best regards, Lea from @ Stadler Form
