  • The OSKAR Humidifier is available in three sizes, six colors (Berry Pink, Black, Brown, Lime Green, Metal Silver and White) and is designed to operate without creating much noise and without using a lot of electricity. I purchased it because it looks ultra modern, like a piece of art, and would elevate and separate water and wet surfaces completely from my dresser. In addition to looking great while turned off, it can be made completely dark when turned on… the LED indicators on the top are dimable with one click and go off with a second click. This product includes a hydrostat which keeps it from over humidifying the room and a filter replacement light to let you know when it’s time to change out filters. It also allows you to mix in essential oils (as long as you use pure oils) for a fresh smell and comes stock with a carbon silver water purifying brick designed to submerge and last up to one year. The unit comes with a one year warranty and the standard size can hold nearly a gallon and has a little window on the side to let you know how full it is. You don’t even have to remove the top to refill it, there’s a spring loaded door on the side that flips out for easy filling.
Some of the accessories designed to work with the OSKAR Little, OSKAR and OSKAR Big are the Oskar Filter Pack, Water Cube (you get one for free in the box), Zero Calc for reduced calcium residue and official Stadler Form pure essential oils for use with the fragrance dispenser. The product was designed in Switzerland. The unit can emit up to 2.4 gallons of moisture per day in a space up to 540 square feet in size helping to reduce the discomfort of dry skin, cracked lips and sinus congestion. This humidifier uses evaporation, not ultrasonic, to humidify spaces and as a result, uses less electricity in general than a steam unit (the company also sells an ultrasonic humidifier called Anton and a steam humidifier called Fred.

Specifications: power use 6 to 18 Watts, dimensions 9.7” x 11.4” x 9.7” (246 mm x 290 mm x 246 mm) width height and depth respectively. weighs 6.9 lbs (3.1 kg), tank capacity is 0.9 gallons (3.5 liters), sound level when operating is 26 to 39 decibels depending on the power level chosen (of which there are two). This humidifier can be taken apart for cleaning. The hydrostat can operate between 45% humidity all the way up to 55% or you can let it run constantly.

Thanks for the review! The ”cube” is there to reduce bacteria growing in the water tank and has nothing to do with hardness of the water and preventing white dust as you mention.

Great Review. Really useful to see Oscar "in the wild".

Thanks for this in depth review, just purchased the large OSKAR for the house. Did not know it was a Swiss brand and I am Swiss.

Like many others have commented, I'd like to see an update. How hard is it to clean? How often do you have to change filters?

Thanks for this thorough review. I'm hesitant to pull the trigger on this due to the price, but it may just be worth it!

Hey Mariko! I was amazed with the low sound and love the style, my only question is whether the large was the correct choice or not. Part of me wants the smaller one for increased desktop space ;)

Good presentation! Thank you. I was out shopping, saw this product and looked for reviews on YT. Your video came up so I made the decision on purchasing. Did the product lived up your expectations?

This is an amazing humidifier. The price seems high but remember this is an evaporator which keeps energy consumes lower then the ultrasounds ones. Easy to refill, no noise making...

Good points Stefano, I just love how quiet it is... the larger fan spins almost silently and I like how it looks overall. Haven't had to replace the filters yet but they also seemed easy. I think it will be easy to care for long term

After almost one year I will say the same. Really silent, really easy to refill, low energy consume, beautiful design. Even one of my cat loves to sleep beside Oskar. Just punched one more as a present to my family. An y review on Eva?

Thank you for this review. Stadler form has been different kinds of humidifiers and I was wondering which Stadler humidifier is the quietest, easiest to clean, and humidifies best? I need a humidifier for my 350 sq ft. bedroom and the Oskar seems like a top contender. Should I get the larger Oskar or is this medium size good enough? Have you tried any other Stadler form humidifiers? Thanks.

Well, have it work? It wont heat the water at all?
So whether there is any difference in humidity?
watching a video would seem like it's just a fan, with nice filters.

I know this is old a old video. But it's still a product that's being sold and I'm interested in. My question is: if you start the device... Then unplug the device and then plug it back in... Is it on? Or do you have to turn it on?
I'm planning on using it in my Smarthome and need a device that saves the last setting after being without electricity

A year later how do you like it? And have you ever measured how the humidity? They sell cheap humidity monitors. I have an Essick Evaporative but it's loud, hard to fill and it goes through 3 gallons of water in 12 hours.

Nice i got mine as well... I'm struggling understanding what the hygrostat really does, i press two times the hygrostat button to set the humidity i want to reach (45% as suggested in the guide) but the lights won't stop blinking and the fan won't start... What I'm doing wrong? It only starts at level five of the hygrostat, it's driving crazy 😧😧😧

The little cube isn't a filter, it contains a little piece of silver to get rid of bacteria in the water. It's cheaper to use a little silver coin instead of buying a new little cube again and again. As always, replacement parts are overpriced. The residue or minerals in the water will be absorbed in the to big filters making their effectiveness of being saturated with water lesser over time. That means the humidifier will work not as good as with fresh, new filters. Don't use this type humidifier when your water is very hard, you will constantly buy these filters which costs a lot. If you have soft water, this humidifier is a very energy efficient, silent option to humidify a room.

Its not a review, you have no experience with the product to be able to review it. It’s an unboxing and putting a misleading title just annoys people , not getting you more views
