- Join us, Carol & Ken, as we take a trip to the New Forest in our Consort Nova Motorhome called Snoopy.
In this video, we enjoy an evening cook up on the beach but will it be too cold for Carol?
The following day we discover the Tall Trees Trail and marvel at the size of the giant sequoias before heading into Brockenhurst for supplies and a cheeky cream tea.
With a storm forecast, what adventures will the next day hold?

I watch you from the US (Virginia). I have been a full-time caregiver for my parents with dementia for 8 years. My dream is to own an RV and travel. Your videos give me so much relief from my stressful life. I'm briefly able to escape the daily struggle of dementia. Thank you for helping me relax and to dream.
Thanks for watching and glad you find our videos relaxing. Sending you and your parents our best wishes ❤️
You have my sympathy. I cared for my husband for 15 years and was able two get away twice during that time. It’s a hard road. I had the same dream and used this channel for the same escape. I know how it feels and I pray you get an occasional trip away!
@maobfh thank you so much❤
@@LifeistooshortCK 🌹🍀🌻🥰Homemade potato soup with broccoli can you show us how to make it?
Gorgeous people delivering even more gorgeous content ! An absolute joy to watch ❤ True visual therapy in these really weird times in the UK and beyond .
Thanks Angela 🙂
Lovely wonderful couple!, I’m glad that you have enough money to have fun like that, I’m glad you get to see things and walk around. I’m glad and thankful that God gave you enough health to be able to walk around and have food like that like everyone on this earth should be able to do this. I’m glad you’re alive. Amen.
Be very hard to beet this couple there vids are floorless without doubt the best and I follow lots of subscribers keep them coming Ken u are a legend the both of you❤
Awww. Thanks Gareth ❤️
Loved the cooking on the beach. Poor Carol looked freezing! Sad if we lose camping spots like that. Give that tree a hug! We always use the kettle for washing up. My dad had a Royal Enfield. Well done on the subs👍😁. We’ve put little spotlights on Merlin. Oh the luxury of staying in the van when it’s wet 🤣very cosy 👍
Carol was freezing. Remind us to tell you a story when we meet 😁👍
New Forest is lovely Carol & Ken 😁
Well there's a sentence we never thought we hear you say Ken..." We've brought too much food" 😅. Not sure if you already know but, the Trangia cap with the brown lid can be used to regulate the flame.
I'm with you Carol. Two pairs of leggings, vest, long sleeved top, fleece and a blanket!
Try the ALDI burgers too, we love em. 😊🐕🚙
😁👍. Yes but not tried the flame adjuster yet.
I live in australia. I hug trees all the time!
So do I 🇦🇺❤️
My husband always adds things to soup and he calls it camping soup.😀
Great video, I really enjoyed it thank you for sharing 💖🤗💖xxx
You are welcome.
You guys seem to pick the best music for your videos and the banter is fantastic. It makes my day! Cheers!!! ❤️😊❤️
Glad you enjoy it! 🙂
Love your videos and both of you. Excellent!!!! I am up in Scotland on holiday and the weather is very poor. I am laid up with an injured leg, so watching your videos has been so relaxing and so enjoyable, THANK YOU xx
Sorry to hear about your leg, and the weather. It’s not much better down here in the south 😕 Hope you recover soon ❤️
@@LifeistooshortCK thank you. That means a lot to me.
Awesome footage capturing the beautiful alluring scenery, thanks for sharing and bringing us to this wonderful relaxing place and stay safe always.
Thanks for watching 🙂
Congratulations on 38,000 you deserve it…🎉🎉🎉
Thank you so much!!
Your wife’s reaction to your suggestion of getting a tent was very ‘restrained’ 😅 You should visit Northumberland. Some loverly beaches.
@@brianreay4104 keep watching for some of Northumberland at the end of the next Scotland series 😊
Hi, great video. Lovely area. Safe travels ❤❤
Thanks Sue 🙂
Found your channel a couple of months ago and I absolutely love your videos, the are so cozy, interresting and relaxing. No wonder you have so many subscribers! Greetings from Finland 👍
Welcome Monica. Glad you enjoy the videos. Greetings to Finland 👋
I thoroughly enjoyed this video. Cooking on the beach was 👍. You have such cozy times together with walks, eating, and just chillin’. Thanks for the companionship through a video. Mary
Thanks so much! 😊
Its beautiful the New Forest thanks for sharing it Ken and Carol 😊
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
Good old Trangias. I've taught hundreds of youngsters to use them. Not a single fatality!😉
Love your videos and beautiful photography. Well deserved 38 thousand subscribers and hopefully many more!
I used to work for CAT UK as a design engineer, in Peterlee, Co Durham where they make the Articulated Dump Trucks. This is the only place they make the AT,s for Caterpillar. The ones you showed are made by Bell, but look identical to the CAT ones. These were originally made in Peterlee by D Brown who then became Artix then taken over by Caterpillar. They are great to drive but are very bouncy
Thanks Carol and Ken for the lovely video. It's very much appreciated and enjoyed.Stay safe and keep well. I am not surprised you are gaining so many subscribers richly deserved success for your channel as I know it must take hard work to put this all together x
Thanks Joanna 🙂
Carol needed a nice hot water bottle on that beach 😁 Ahh the old eating too fast, past occupational hazard 😉 Love those types of shops, they’re few & far between these days unfortunately. Congratulations on the subs, soon be 40 k 👌 Em & G 💜
Thanks guys. Will have to remember a hot water bottle next time. That would have been so comforting ❤️
My 2 favorite couple love your show my the creator of life grant you with good health and strength each and every day of your beautiful life keep up the good show and keep on eating the nice food 🥘
Thanks Reginald 🙂
Great video guys. You know we love Milford on sea and the new forest 😍. Think we’re going to steal your soup idea, never thought of adding extras to soup. Have a great weekend guys 😎🤙🏽
Easy peasy soups are. Add them to stews as well 👍
@@LifeistooshortCK we have some Stilton and broccoli soups in the cupboard and some potatoes and veg so we are going to try this out. Thanks for the tip guys 😎
Aw that was lovely seeing you cooking on the beach. Lovely setting too. And in March! Fire pit is great for those conditions but you have to be careful. I remember once sitting out till quite late and I was lovely and warm but nearly died packing it away it got so cold lol. Take care x
😁👍. I edited Adders today 👍
Love the new forest area..the trees are relaxing for the mind I REmber eating scone at a posh bf house once,he said you must break a piece off put jam on then cream…I just threw the lot on lol..thanks carol n Ken for another great video.
We stayed over night in a vw camper in the late 60s we got knock on the door,a ranger said don’t park overnight here again lol I was just a kid xx
I was at blackwater last week we went for a birthday picnic, from Devon, but it was only a small detour on the way to Surrey
@@user-jg9ju1ke8i hope you enjoyed your picnic 🤗
Hah! You fooled me during your opening frames starting at 0:26 ... With our steering wheel turning full Right, but your view panning Left... I thought you were preparing to make a Right Hand turn,, but in fact, you were in Reverse gear, thereby cranking your steering wheel to the Right to swing your front toward your Left. Great visual tease, there Ken!
😁👍
Hari Om
Old caravan trick for the running cold before the hot... stick a bottle/flask under it and keep the run-off for cooking or cuppa later. No waste at all. I have had a couple of walks recently that resembled yours in the NF underfoot - and I don't have wellies. Time to emulate you two, methinks! YAM xx
You will. see us doing that in future episodes 👍
I know it seems always wonderful to find a secluded car parking place but, a personal warning….such places are a mega for car break-ins. Happened to me twice in New Forest. Was only on a short half hour walk, each time, like yourselves. On both occasions car broken into and valuables taken. Please be careful. Sometimes the security of other van occupancy around, can be a better protection. Loved the video
Yes, it is a sad reality. We have had a car broken into in the New Forest in the past. We were careful not to leave the van anywhere secluded.
Enjoying your videos. But we would never park in a secluded area here in OZ. In less you are with a group.
I love watching all the meals you cook but as I watch all my CZcams videos late at night ( yes I’m a night owl probably due to running pubs for 18 yrs )I end up getting the munchies and reach for the crackers and cheese maybe not a good idea at 1.30pm …. I’m loving all the music you put on your videos so gentle and relaxing. safe travels 😊
I loved seeing that final shot of you both relaxing in your rear lounge. That is exactly the reason I thought that layout would be right up your street, along with the other useful touches that Consort has added.
I'm so glad I took the time to send you the link, loving all the latest content with Snoopy.
We are loving the rear lounge and are really happy with the van. Thanks so much for recommending Consort to us ❤️
love the old hardware shops ,like an aladins cave full of handy things to discover😊
Hello from France 🖐. Congratulations on 38k, here's to 40k🎉. Well deserved, love watching your videos for years. Great video, lovely food. Take care
Thanks Anita. Enjoy your trip to France 🙂
Suggestion: Modify your hot water feed line to recirculate the cold until the water reaches a heat valve temperature setting to turn off that circulation. I've seen that feature mentioned in other van builds. I bet Consort could introduce that modification for you. That would save your cold water and cooking gas, plus it would free up a hub on your stove for other purposes. Rather like an "Instant Hot" feature. Tah-Dah!
Interesting idea 👍
Great video, I use the Naked noodles quite alot quick meal, thanks for sharing 😊
Lovely van and people😊
Thanks Mario 🙂
Hi both, your videos are always enjoyable to watch. Thank you for sharing your adventures ❤️
Our pleasure! Thanks for watching 🙂
Ken you always seem to enjoy simple meals and make them look so appetising.Another relaxing informative video x
The Trangia is wonderful piece of kit. I also have the option of the custom gas burner rises the Trangia to another level for beach Cook outs.
What a lovely, comfortable video. Loved the hardware store. Just like small ones here in New Zealand, that haven't been taken up by the big chains.
Trangias are excellent. I bought one when I was 19 and it’s still going. I’m 64!
That’s good to know 🙂👍
I’m a new subscriber. I love your videos! I’ve been binge watching them. You two are absolutely brilliant!
@@moonchaserstudio aww, thank you. We really appreciate your support. Glad you enjoy the videos 🙂
Hi Carol & Ken, a few years ago on a visit to Romney Marshes I saw a very similar shingle moving operation being carried out near Dungeness Nuclear Power Station. Some locals told me that it was a continuous, never ending operation due to coastal erosion and the fact that the entire South East of England is sinking into the sea. To prevent the power station from becoming a victim they have to continuously move shingle from the east side of the power station and dump it back on to the beach on the west side. I don't know if it is for a similar reason that the shingle where you were was being moved but the operation looked very much the same. Thank you both for your wonderful and very entertaining videos, they only get better and better.
Yes, probably the same reason. It also happens at Seaford beach on the south coast.
Really enjoy watching your laid back down to earth videos they are normal and real😊another good one happy travels many greetings from a rainy Stockholm Sweden.
Thanks Noah 🙂
24:24in Vic Rail did the gates thing to me last night, 8 min before I heard a too that signaled the train was half a mile [1k] away. British Rail is fast than VR :) The drivers don't even wave to the kids anymore, not in their job description! Thanks m8s, stay vertical Eh!
😁👍
Bugger that I would be in the van with the heater on
Great your channel is doing well.
Thank you!
I really enjoy watching you two, US here and a recreational camper( pull behind) but I do enjoy seeing the van life. Carry on, love to watch!!!❤
Thank you! Will do! 😀
Follow that red Jag! My dream car ♥️
I thought that too, they've spent hours detailing to spik and span and then drive it down a muddy old lane. E types are rust buckets, people didnt have little jet washers years ago,, cost a fortune to re furbish. Do you remember those stickers in the back window of posh cars, saying 'my other car is a mini. Haha.
A great video Carole and Ken you are Very informative and knowledgeable about so much and makes it really interesting.
We like camping there overnight too and we did a high tide once, the water only came over to the rim of the wheel, but when you drive into new Milton their is some chaps washing cars on the left, and they kindly washed just our wheels down to get rid of the salt, and didn't charge us, but gave the a good tip. Bet it was cold with the full moon. Have fun.😊
Thanks for letting us know. That might come in handy one day 😀👍
Love the hardware store! I also watch Sandy's videos, good choice!
Carol looks like a viking with that blanket 😂😂
😂
Great vid guys
What a lovely place! A restful spot to just BE.
A thought regarding wasting water... could you run the tap into a small watering can until its warm and then pour it back into the tank? Sorry if that's daft...
Neil said "four candles" when you entered the hardware shop!
Not daft at all. That’s worth a try 🙂👍
Ken, I’m surprised you didn’t mention that beautiful red Jaguar XKE Coupe you passed at 16:40, a rare sight these days.
I let the image do the talking. It was so beautiful it needed no explanation 👍
Enjoyed this.
Usually watching from Aus but this time on a cruise from Norway to the US! Nothing better on a lazy afternoon. We also love to value add to our prepared soups by adding veg and sometimes shredded chicken. Yum!
Wow!
Thanks for watching. Enjoy your cruise to the US.
Aaaay yupp Stu.
Lovely scenery
Great to see some different van life activities !
Lovely film thank you both, I like the longer versions.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the feedback 🙂
2am and 7°C on Saturday morning in Canberra, Australia and I have to watch this before I think about sleep. I really enjoy your videos. 🦘🇦🇺
OH ! I used to live in Canberra and remember those cold nights and mornings, I’m in Adelaide now and doing the same watching before I fall asleep. Hope you have a good weekend, I love this channel.
The horrible thing is the temp in the UK is the same at the same time. Yeah that’s our summer for you 2024.
Lovely video as always, yes I have just checked and I am still subscribed 😊.
Congratulations on getting 38k hope you get many more subscribers I am sure you will.
Take care and thanks for taking us with you on your journeys…you looked frozen Carol on the beach but food looked yummie😊
Thanks for checking June 🙂👍
That's another good series thanks.
Another bit of fascination from this video... Being from California, with our Sequoia trees, I never realized that they also grow in the UK. I know some do in the country of Chile, but England! Surprise of surprises! What a day this has been on account of this video in particular! Thanks so much for the thrills!
Somebody imported and planted them many years ago. In the mid 19th century it was fashionable to plant exotic trees 👍
I think that cooking on the beach was so awesome. Your dinner looked great. I really liked the walk in the woods. Hope that you both have a wonderful evening. Take care.
Thanks so much ❤️
I do envy you the outdoor meal 😊 lovely thanks carol and ken .
Another great video, watched outside in Norway where I’m just having my supper and I can say the temperature here isn’t much better. About 10 degrees. Keep up the great work.
When I visit my son and daughter in law in Norway i have to have a bowl of Norwegian fish soup. Their meal on the beach reminded me a little of that. Yummy!
It’s not much warmer than that here at the moment. Enjoy your Norwegian trip 🙂
Love the video, look forward to these, many thanks!
Glad you like them! 🙂
Muito romântico ❤
Great vlogs, congrats on 38000 subscribers. Greetings from Germany!

A lot of space to lounche indeed:)
So cosy
Nice one Ken and Carol. 😊
Many Thanks you two x
Our pleasure! 🙂
Just love watching you both on your travels. So relaxing, and enjoyable. 😊
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
Stunning venue shown starting at 2:42 into this video, immediately made me think of those tremendous classical pieces of music, Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake", and Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata" which I've just come back from listening to them both via CZcams thanks to you. Now you know how your videos can lead to some other unexpected pleasures well worth a coffee donation! Thank you so much for making my day!
I get inspired to look up all sorts of things through watching youtube. There is always more pleasure in watching or reading about it than if you just stumble across it yourself. 👍
The gorse is burned in controlled fires to allow the grassy areas to spread and provide food for the grazing animals. Not many animals like to eat gorse, but sometimes donkeys will have a go at it!
We wondered if it was controlled burning. Thanks for the info 🙂
🥰
Congratulations on your subscribers, thoroughly enjoy following your travels. ❤️❤️
Thanks Linda 🙂
Oh that vegetables and soup looks very good for sure. I could almost smell it. What a beautiful forest that was.
Great vlog and so pleased to see the van coming into its own, you must be very pleased. Trangia cook sets are brilliant and I have been using them for over 30 years. If you are going to stick with meth, I would suggest a 10% water mix as this will give a much cleaner burn. I moved over to bio-ethenol a couple of years back, cheaper and burns really clean.... smells a little better as well. Still getting used to our NV200 😅, but all good. Take care....
Yes the water trick really works well, much easier to wipe clean.
nice place at key haven we went in may walked to the fort great vid all the best donny
That can be a strenuous walk on that shingle 👍
@@LifeistooshortCK it was but on a nice day dosent seem as far
Congrats on 38k! I really loved this episode...such a beautiful area and lovely excursion. K & C enjoying moonlit alfresco dining at the water's edge 😊! Wonderfully cozy van time during the rain. I hope you're both doing well. Best, Lauren

Enjoyed the New Forest. We used to go there on holidays. Enjoyed the video. You have a lovely all round view when you are sitting in your cosy van. Love the picture of Little red in the corner. Thankyou.
Thanks for watching 🙂
Hi guys great video we love your channel and you guys, you did have us laughing when the check list turn off engine !! 😂😂🤣🤣 We thought what Sanrio would that be used, laying in bed saying whats that noise and bunny says did you turn the engine off. 🤭🤭. It’s a lovely part of the country you are in. Also i am your diet support stop eating the burgers stick to healthy foods. Lol i know it’s hard but be strong Ken. We visited the newark Campervan show and visited consort stand. We looked in the Nova van its very nice but it needs some modification for us to get one. I talked to them and was not that impressed with how helpful they came over as we were looking at placing an order.( But thats another story) If you fancy seeing it please take a look it’s on our channel. We Love watching your adventures stay safe we hope to meet up some time and say hi. Michael & Kim 🫶👍
We will take a look. Turn the engine off on the checklist is an attempt to stop me turning it off before I have ensured the wheels are not sticking out and the mirrors are tucked in. 😁👍
Superb Video, your meal on the beach looked lovely, maybe a bit cold though😕.
I have used one of your recipes, sausages and vegetables in a pan with Tomato & Chorizo soup (Aldi special) while we sit in France watching the rain listening to GF winds! It was very comforting
Sounds great!
Thank You For That Fabulous Video ❤️
