Is Glimmer a fusion? Pt.2

  • Hello everyone! So, in the last video where I discussed the possibility that Glimmer could be a fusion of the Aegis children and discussed the physical and personality traits Glimmer shares with Pyra, Mythra, and Pneuma, but one of my viewers from the last video left a comment that made me realize that I forgot to talk about arguably the most important aspect of this theory, how the two could've actually combined to form Glimmer. So, I made this video to coincide with that last one. Special shout out to Vintoplad for making me aware of this!

@@XenobladeDiscussions glad you asked. Been a while to point out exactly where in Torna, but just look for the blade and Titan DNA part of Torna. Middle/ end of the story/game is the best i can say off the top of my head.

Are you referring to the titan " womb" scene in torna?

@@XenobladeDiscussions possibly, like I said it has been a while, but in Torna there is Darth Sideous looking guy talking to Amalthus about blade and Titan DNA

I found this scene you were referring to and you are correct. They clearly state that blades are descendants of humans and their DNA is similar as well. So the possibility for blades and humans to procreate is still plausible without any aid from Klaus or any other source. Thank you for pointing it out.

Pyra's daughter, Mythra's personality, Nia's Job role in blade form. Shes a fusion of all three moms!

Commenting on not just the video, but some of the comments.
I’d say Mio and Linka are proof that having kids isn’t just an Aegis thing. As for Klaus’s gift, I think that might just refer to him giving everyone a permanent land to live on, since that was kinda Rex’s goal from the start.
Maybe humans and blades were always able to reproduce. I blame Amalthus and the church. They’ve already outlawed other forms of blade intermingling like blade eating and flesh eating(even though they do it themselves). Jin was right. The church turned blades into second class citizens.
As for how I think blades reproduce, I think of two things. First, gem crafting in Xenoblade 1 can result in gems multiplying. Two, Nia talks about synthesis through catalysis with her core crystal. I think that’s how blades reproduce with humans. All of the blade kids look like little clones of their blade mothers because they literally are. They’re conceived through a process that Xenoblade 1 calls “mega heat😏”.
And as for the point of this video, Glimmer being a fusion between Pyra and Mythra, I think maybe…But not literally in a Pneuma sense. My case for this is Mio. I think she’s part Pyra. Her personality feels more Pyra than Nia to me(and just to complete this circle, I think Mythra’s kid should be a sassy loli). That and maybe the red braid in her hair isn’t just a string, but a natural patch of redhead. Nia always seemed to be into Pyra and Mythra as much as she was into Rex(cuddling in Tantal, the “nice body” comment, the stage 4 special, Nia’s floating Aegis swords, etc.
Now hear me out… All the babies in that photo are the same size. Assuming the fanfics are all true and they were all conceived in the same night, maybe Rex’s DNA wasn’t the only catalyst. In 1’s gem crafting, using partners with high affinity and multiple gems increases the chances of “mega heat😏”, aka gems multiplying. Using multiple gems results in new gems that take on their dominant traits. That’s why Glimmer is so Mythra! That’s why Mio is so Pyra! And that is why kid#3 is most definitely… A sassy loli.

      1. Amalthus and the church: If blades were always able to have children, then I could see the church doing everything it takes to prevent that since they wanted total control of blades.
      2. Gem crafting: Hm, that's an interesting theory.

Sorry to destroy your Headcanon of Mio’s red patch of hair, but she never had that in any of her incarnations in Aionios, and she only got it after Miyabi died, which is probably when Mio started wearing the red string accessory.

I feel that this brain dead theory only exists because some people don't like the fact that "pyra's child" as the personally of mythra.

      @XenobladeDiscussions  Před 5 měsíci

You might be right in that this theory is completely flawed, but a lot of things in Xenoblade isn't always what it appears to be at first glance. So maybe she is a fusion, maybe She's not, we'll just have to wait for another game to come out and find out for sure. Either way, I thought it was something interesting enough to talk about

Ah, wasn't expecting a follow up video. So that's why you only responded to the shoulder thing. X'P
On the subject of how Pyra and Mythra can have kids, when you do that research, it's important that you draw a line between "What can Blades do?" and "What can an Aegis do?", as it's well established that they don't follow the same rule book as any other Blade. And y'know, there's the whole "all data is passed through them" thing, so they do have that "all life" connection by default.

As for my name, the only weird part is that you seem to drop the "n" out, "Vin" is said like it'd be in "Vince", the rest (toe-plad) is fine. Though I'm cool with just "Plad".

Yeah when you brought up their DNA it was like a light bulb went off and I was like "oh my gosh. How did I forget about this? I need to do a follow-up video!"
Yeah you are correct that they don't follow the same rules as normal blades which is the reason why Pyra and Mythra could have children while normal blades couldn't until they possibly made it possible for other blades like Pandoria.

@@XenobladeDiscussionsI’m pretty sure Klaus’s “gift” at the end of Xenoblade 2 has something to do with it. Suddenly blades can hook up with humans and have children. It’s likely that Klaus altered Blade biology to be compatible with humans
