This case hurts my heart so much, and it tears me apart to know Caylee is barely five months younger than me. We could've been classmates. We could've walked the stage together in Spring 2023. We could've gone to hoco at the same time, prom at the same time. We could've paid senior dues, cap and gown fees, prom attire bills at the same time.
We're only less than five months apart.
Caylee should be seventeen, finishing her senior year, planning for prom and graduation. And she's gone.

You know, I find it weird that the parents weren't more involved in Casey's life. How do you not know your daughter was failing until almost the end of her school year? Even if she's not telling you much about school, as a parent, it's your duty to be aware of what your child is involved with.
Find it also weird about the parents not telling the brother about Casey's pregnancy. Maybe it's me, could it be that maybe Casey and the brother had a "close" relationship?
Obviously, being a mother was too much of a hassle for her and she failed to keep her daughter safe, she should still be jailed for the utter neglect of her child.
