True & False Conversion

  • Ray Comfort draws out the Biblical truth of true and false conversion from the parable of the soils and encourages us to examine ourselves, as Scripture commands, in lights of these truths. Though largely ignoring the 'thorny' soil that further illustrates the danger of genuine Christians falling back into spiritual death, Ray does a great job.

    Thank you Ray for getting the gospel out to the Lost. Jesus Christ saved me from homosexuality among every other sin by hearing the gospel message preached through the street evangelism you do. So thankful for u tube also thankful for vicki and kathy who in 2008 told me about your ministry and even at one point shared one of your videos with me. Although at the time I was a false convert. In November of 2016 I looked you up on u tube and watched several of your clips and shortly after repented and turned to Christ. I love you brother and thank you for the evidence bible. I should be home by next week to receive it😃

    Your thumbnail looks like Vasguez Mountains on the way to the upper desert north of Los Angeles towards Lancaster. Many,
    many movies and commercials and tv series have been made there. Those rocks are very dramatic! The outlaw, Vasquez, hid out in those rocks. His camp fire residue was found on the rocks. And he was captured. Thanks for the memories Ray. John MacArthur was my Pastor and the one who led me to the Lord in April of 1970! Your teachings are a compliment to his teaching and that of Campus Crusade of Christ. At twenty five years old, I had no idea who Jesus was nor did I know the definition of sin. Once I understood, I had to make a choice. I did, and I have not looked back! "Jesus is the way, the truth and the life!"..... Auntie Jay Bird

      May God continue to bless you for you honesty and humility. Though it may sound basic, get with God in prayer confessing and repenting (admitting and purposing to turn away from committing) all of your previous sins as specifically as you can. Cry out or Him to forgive you, cleanse, you, and give you a new heart with new desires. He may guide you in what else to pray, so listen. Then read your Bible and obey what you read. Be ready for challenges to arise though. The enemy will want to discourage you through whatever means he can, so just be ready. Jesus is stringer than all that and gives wisdom and strength as we trust Him.
      Find a Christian church that preaches from the Bible and believes it to be the word of God (words in their literature or website will be like "infallible" or "inerrant" Word of God). Look as God directs you to a church and to Christians with whom you can grow and contribute. Ask God to confirm with His spirit with yours that you are a child of God (this may not come immediately, so be patient, but it may come immediately as well). But it all start with an honesty conversation with God trusting Him to accept, forgive, and be transforming you. You might read Psalm 51 and make it your prayer too (it is David's psalm of repentance). The words aren't ultimately important; your heart is. God cares, understands, and is near to the broken-hearted.
      I hope this helps some.

      Good observation; it’s supposed to be 1Tim1:8.
      And YES, there is hope for all who see their need. It seems some specific sin/s are brought to your mind by the Holy Spirit. That is God convicting you tu draw you to himself to cleanse, heal, and forgive you. Go to him and confess your sin and repent (turn away from them) as best you know how. Surrender to him and trust him for all this. You’ll never ultimately regret doing what’s right. Then keep in the Scriptures, prayer, and trusting him enough to follow him by doing as he says. Jesus thinks you are worth all he went through; he is FOR you. He’s made a way out from under God’s wrath and into new life. Don’t harden yourself, go to him; he’s waiting ❤️. If you follow through, tell someone and find some genuine Christians ti walk through life together with. I’m excited for you!

    it wasn't the law that changed the heart? all the law and commandments hinge upon and are fulfilled by the love of God....It is both; you cannot separate the law of God from the Love of God; the law is fulfilled by Love; the two are one...if you have the love of God you will not lie, steal, cheat, fornicate, etc...you will keep the law; yet I understand what they mean; once the fine is paid and the soul is saved to some degree you no longer restrain yourself from sin because of fear from judgment of the law but because of faith working through Love...

    • @2timothy23
      @2timothy23 Před 6 lety +1

      Josh, go back and listen; Ray said they had a genuine "false conversion." There's a difference. Ray is saying there is a genuineness in the person's flesh, not a supernatural act of God in the person's heart. Go to the Gospel of John, Chapter 8 and carefully read verses 30-31. Those verses say that people believed on Christ. And from 8:30 to 8:59 is a dialogue between Jesus and those people that "believed" and it showed they really didn't believe. Jesus told them His word had no place in them (8:37), that they sought to kill Him (8:40), that they couldn't hear His word (8:43), that their father was the devil (8:44) that they didn't believe Him (8:45-46), that they are not of God (8:47), that they didn't know God and were liars (8:54-55). By the time Christ said He was the "I am" in 8:58, they were so angry that they were ready to stone Him in 8:59. And these were the same people that believed back in 8:30-31. Their "belief" in Christ was genuine indeed, but the believed in the wrong Christ for the wrong reason and Jesus Himself exposed this by His own Words. And His words drove them to attempted murder. There was no fruit at all. I've seen plenty of examples of people making "decisions" for Christ that act the same way they did before their "conversion" for years, even in me and my wife's family. There's no true love for God, no fellowship with other believers, no studying their scriptures, no evangelism, no desire to avoid the lusts/things of the world, etc. False conversions are real and it is deadly to tell these people that act just like the world (which Romans 12:1-2, James 4:4, and 1 John 2:15-17 has serious warnings about that) after they made a "decision" years ago that they're saved.

      Eric Smith ray comfort says the false covert "has faith, he actually does believe" because ray comfort does not believe faith alone on Jesus can save, if you don't believe in a, do-penance, theology like his then ray comfort thinks you're not saved, why don't you go back and listen form 10:00 to 10:09 literally 9 seconds

    • @joshellis6250
      @joshellis6250 Před 6 lety

      Eric Smith from the first sentence of your reply everyone can tell your a calvinist on his way to hell, why don't you read the first 3 chapters of john b4 you try and interpret anything after that. Also a person who doesn't believe christ died for everyone shouldn't be cought dead reading the gospel of John. Once your saved (from hell) your not free from sin, your a servent of sin when you don't continue in his God's words let alone commit sin daily.

    • @2timothy23

    • @2timothy23
      @2timothy23 Před 6 lety +2

      Josh, so conversion isn't a supernatural act of God? And then you put a label on me because you don't like what I wrote. Notice also, Josh, that you make alot of assertions and never address anything Biblically. You also never comment on the verses I gave. That is in the Bible, the very Word of God that is breathed out by Him and sufficient for all things (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Perhaps you should address what those verses and others say about belief and conversion instead of attacking others. I find it sad when professed Christians make these type of comments without scripture and with an undertone of malice. I pray you examine your own heart because God sees that as well.

      Thank you so much for your honesty and transparency. You are not far from the Kingdom. Just as recognizing a fatal disease is a critical beginning step, so is recognizing one’s willful treachery against God. Most never come as far as you are. It’s good you care about righteousness (being right). But we can never be/get right on our own (it’s be like murdering a king’s sin then trying to make it right with by doing some of what he says to do).
      You say you don’t repent (turn away from sins as best you know how). IF that means you won’t, there is no hope while in that state of mind. But IF you mean you haven’t, then hope abounds. Repent before God telling him what you’ve done, and ask him to forgive you, cleanse your heart & mind, and heal your spirit. Put your trust in Jesus and his death on the cross and resurrection. Then get up and live like it’s true. Find a church where they take the Bible seriously (we all need help and a tribe to walk this out well) and read the Bible for yourself (start in Mark to get to know Jesus better).
      That help any?

    Ray Comfort message is sound, rather a person believes or not is not in question, but rather that belief is of a genuine repentant heart that's truly broken and contrite over sin is the question and Jesus said the answer comes through their fruit. Jesus said himself many will say unto me Lord Lord have I not done many mighty works in your name and I'll say depart from me you who work iniquity I never know you. Odds are those people believed they where genuine in their repentance, he's very simply saying you know a tree by its fruit if a person has a truly repentant heart before God he'll produce the fruits of the spirit because he yields every aspect of his life to God in surrender in servitude no longer Desiring sin or its pleasures, because good works doesn't save you but they show that you've been justified by the grace of God through faith in Christ Jesus, we're not saved by our works were saved by the blood of Jesus but we are judged according to our works there is no once saved always saved when you truly submit your heart to God you no longer desire to do the things you used to do willfully, instances of sinning will be truly a undesirable stumbling into... And you have to ask yourself if you claim to have given your life over to Christ and you're willfully sinning and enjoying the things and pleasures of this world you got to ask yourself have you truly surrendered your life to Christ because every man that names the name of Chris departs from sin, because the law convicts a man of sin and direct him toward repentance but provides no remedy because we can only can be forgiving through the sacrifice that Christ made for the penalty of our sin. See grace apart from transformation is heresy because the grace of God is meant to transform your life not cater to it or make it better, people want something from God without becoming that toward other people we want God's mercy, Grace, love, and forgiveness but don't want to become merciful graceful loving and Unforgiven toward others. Very simply the way you live your life reflects what you say you believe if you truly repented and giving your life to Christ you'll live a transformed life according to the Bible, that doesn't mean you'll live perfectly but wany even be thinking about sin because you reckon Yourself Dead to sin and how sould you who died to sin live to it any longer, we don't sin that Grace may abound we die too it, so if a person truly loves and wants to know God trust me he'll do anything, get rid of anything, and move away from anything the hinders or blocks his relationship with God that's the miracle of God he changes your heart to desire that which is good.

      Thank you for your honesty and transparency. Watching Vision of the Father and Vision of the Son (on this channel) will help. As you watched this video, note that Jesus is the solution to our problem the "cure" to our self-inflicted "disease." What is He like, why did He do it. Scripture says it was the love of the God the Father and of God the Son. God so loved everyone that He sent Jesus, even though people rejected God (Jn 3:16-19). Jesus, endured the cross counting the shame as nothing in light of the joy set before Him (that's us) (Heb 12:2). In Romans 1 and 5, we see God’s wrath and how it’s expressed. His wrath is against the unrighteous (1:18-ff). What did God do in light of this? He gave Himself over so those same people could have a chance to be made right and be freed from the slavery of their unrighteousness (Romans 5:6-8).
      The only ones needing to fear Jesus are those unwilling to stop rejecting Him (Jn 3:18-19). The law was given to show what God is like (what He does and doesn’t do, to reveal our sinfulness, to lead us to Jesus to be saved from God’s wrath, and to show what He is freeing His followers to be like). It is not Jesus, but the Satan who will bring up all the offenses calling for our punishment. God is love wanting all to be saved, but not all will. And, He is just as well as love (and love rejoices in the truth (1 Cor 13:6), so He will deal out both rewards and punishment as due. In thinking of the arc in the account of Noah and the flood, Jesus is like the arc. Run to Him to be saved from the flood of God’s just wrath. He has endured countless sins from multitudes everyday, but has been patiently waiting and warning. The bottom line is if you will trust Him or not. Will you? Please feel free to comment more -I know this may sound a bit abrupt, but I’m trying to be brief. Does this help at all?
      Do watch the other videos I mentioned and read the gospels paying attention to what Jesus is like. Notice he even treats the outcasts with respect. Hear any thunderings out of love wanting the best for people. He loves enough to tell the truth, even when it’s ugly. May God open the eyes of your heart unto entrusting yourself fully onto Him who is life, is for you, and drawing you to Himself.

      "beware of false prophets" aka false teachers or people proclaiming a false Christ...it says they appear outwardly as sheep but inwardly are wolves..you will know them by their "fruit" IE teaching or doctrine...as far as you "not lusting or not sinning" anymore..you're a liar...you still sin and "lust....rahab was a whore when she was justified before God are you saying she had bad fruit? the bible says in matthew 7 a good tree CANNOT bear bad fruit...the reason is that a born again believer knows Christ...and you can't be "unborn again" or "unknow Christ" once he reveals himself to you...that's why the bible says a believers "fruit" will remain...your works are filthy rags like everyone elses...the bible says none are good and none are righteousness ..well unless your name is jesus of Nazareth..but since its not you can't claim any of your own "goodness" you don't have any.

      If the fruit of the Spirit Is Love, Joy, peace (Absensce of strife)patience (endurance), goodness, kindness , gentleness and self control, pray tell how do these manifest if not in our actions? You say we have no fruit of actions but you are quite wrong, though it does not spring from us alone.. the Holy Spirit works IN us to both will and to DO His desires.. We are in cooperation with Him to 'go and sin no more' because we are no longer dominated by sin, it is no longer our master because we are no longer under the law but under His grace.
      It seems to me that you are trying to argue your position.. and I admit I have begun here to try to clarify which could also be seen in that way. I agree with examining oneself to see if one is truly in the faith and that there are many false converts to Christianity. However, I question your interpretation of Col. 4:5. The whole passage is speaking about sharing the gospel (making time to do so not feeling you’re wasting time doing so, as you seem to interpret “redeeming the time”) with graceful speech seasoned with salt. Compare 1 Cor. 5:12 where the Apostle Paul speaks of those “without” as being those in the world. Maybe make time for them to encourage them to examine themselves not to tell them you have no time for them this decade? Other than that good video and important message

Thus leading to fruit bearing lives. Ray does not teach that a genuine Christian can fall back into spiritual death as passionary1 says in his initial comments.That is a contradiction.

      Yes, all who have sinned to begin with are lost. There are some who have an emotional (or whatever) experience thinking they are now born-agiain when they are not. Ray is iff a bit here in that every "plant" is a genuine plant. Scripture says some fall away from real faith they had, and Scripture has several warnings to continue on, endure, etc (which seems to make sense only if it os possible to fall away or break faith even when genuine). But yes, a false-convert is a lost person who has an experience of sorts but remains a lost person (but now thinks they are not).

      @@debbiekling6065 I hear you, and that’s a common teaching in part of the Church. Yet Jesus teaches differently in Jn15 indicating one who is in Him can be cut off and thrown into the fire, which is why He exhorts to remain in Him. Paul likewise in Rom 11 warns Gentiles of arrogance because they stand by trusting (faith), and the natural branches were cut off bc of a lack of faith. He is graphic in pointing out God will not spare those not continuing in faith but will even restore those returning in faith. Hebrews repeats the need to hod firm till the end. Peter (2pet2) speaks of those saved yet returning to their previous state being worse off than before. Yes believers at sealed. That doesn’t mean losing ability to choose or be deceived. It means God “owns” us/we are marked as His, so messing with the bind with Him has serious consequences (like breaking a Roman seal; it’s not indestructible, there’s just consequences dissuading breaking it). And the love of God done first not save. Rm 8 context is not salvation but comfort in affliction. Jesus loved the young man who preferred his riches over Christ. But the love of God (Jesus) did not mean rightness for the man Jesus loved. Scripture even says rocky soil heater does believe for a time (the hearer really is a plant).
      A great comfort is God empowers whosever will to be with Him. As we trust Him, we will walk in covenant with Him, and He will be with us whatever May come.

      I understand. Though Orthodox Christians, Roman Catholics, and most Protestants not in the line of Calvin (and the Church consensus up to about the 1500s) do not believe that to be true, I know certain Protestant groups do. I know people who love and serve God who believe that, and that’s their prerogative. Yes, keep trusting and hold on to hope. It’s not about flawlessness but blamelessness, not flawless performance but blameless relationship. The way TO God is shears grace; the walk WITH God is always obedience (which is empowered by grace). God keeps us for sure, but He does not violate our personhood He will not force anyone to stay with Him). And, obedience/keeping covenant is not automatic upon conversion (otherwise there would be no need for the warnings against not continuing in faith/covenant-or any instruction really).
      The passage you mention is 1Cor 3-4. The “these things” applied to Paul and Apollos as well as the fire, rewards, are talking about discipleship not individual salvation. One is rewarded for how they built on another’s foundation (if what they build withstands the fire). But if their work on others is burned up, they themselves are not burned up, but they are affected by it (their poor discipling does not cost them their own salvation). Continuing the faith (continuing to trust) is the work Jesus said we are to do (Jn 6:29). The walk with God us not like a courtroom primarily concerned with guilt & innocence. It’s to be as a child with their father. Wrongs are addressed, but differently than s court, and the relational focus is primary. More than that, God wants it to be like a bridal chamber. Again, wrongs are dealt with but even differently than father-child relations. And, the relationship is even closer and more primary. All relationships have ground rules. And God walking a certain way requires those wanting to walk with Him to walk that same way. And, He is more than able to empower them to do so. However, like all genuine relationships, He does not force anyone to stay, but fights for them, teaches and empowers them desiring their best.

      the servent of jesus christ 1st, struggling is good. Being in the fight means u haven’t surrendered. Next, graft 1Cor10:13 into your spirit. When we really believe victory is a possible target, we hit it more often. Memorizing Rom 6 and 8:1-15 is great too.
      Meanwhile, repent as best you know how. Avoid what triggers you can (go overboard if you need to at first; sometimes an over correction is needed to straighten a skid off course). And, celebrate the small wins-at times, they are all we have.
      And remember from James 1, temptation itself is not sin. So don’t let the enemy mess w/you about that part of it. Pray to the Lord for confirmation of His Spirit in you or your lack of Him and what needs to be surrendered. He’ll be specific (unlike the enemy who is general and vague lest we address the issue and become right).
      May God bless, keep, and guide you. I appreciate your humility.

I understand these teaching as being for people who consider themselves to be followers of Christ to Biblically evaluate if that is true, not to discourage unbelievers as Peter was at the time he denied Christ. If Peter was fully persuaded in everything Jesus said he would've been waiting at the tomb for the resurrection, but Peter had not fully come to understand the gospel until after he saw the risen Christ. That is understandable, I probably would've done the same, but the point is that Peter was wrong and we today with all the revelation we now have need not make the same mistakes.

If you set up a system or belief that if one "truly is saved" you set up salvation by works. You are looking at what those people DO and not at what Christ has done. Who then would be saved? Do you sin John? Are you a true Christian? I am and I still have times when I sin and betray the Christ I love. I do not justify the sin; I am still in this sinful body. And with the grace of God I crucify the flesh that sins. Believers understand this.

      the teachings of jesus is you have to be perfect...don't you understand the spiritual truth of that...he said keep my commandments, and you must be perfect, and if you sin pluck your eye out...he's showing God demands perfection...not effort or 70%...perfection is whats required...now that doesn't happen by works, not by human performance...practically nobody can be perfect but spiritualy is another matter, I'm perfect by faith, my spirit or inner man is perfect...cause if you think jesus was saying be as good as you can and give it your effort, he wasn't saying that...he was saying be perfect "like God in heaven" perfect in every way...thought, word and deed, not ever messing up even once..Christ is my righteousness, my flesh isn't righteousness...the bible says in the flesh dwells no good thing, but a believer is no longer in the flesh spiritual speaking...they still inhabit a flesh body, the carnal nature is still there, however their spirit is in Christ and perfect...so righteousness isn't a doing, its a state of being...you're in the way of righteousness, and that's Christ, he is the way...so someone "in Christ" is perfectly righteous spiritual...even if they still sin which everyone does daily. since sin dwells in the flesh and even though the flesh isn't our identity, we'r'e still attatched to the carnal nature. a Christian has two natures, the ld nature doesn't go away completely in this earthly life, you're gonna desire things, selfish things sometimes, strife with people, getting angry, not helping those in need, looking at a good looking woman, overdoing some activity, maybe its food, or material things, or being a busybody, these all can be sins...sin isn't just robbing a bank or sleeping with a hooker...did you help all the poor people in your town today? I doubt it...that's sin too...so I have no righteousness of my own...but I have a perfect righteousness in Christ.

      alizarin alexander the righteousness of Christ is not a license to sin, we have to repent and believe the Gospel message in order to be saved. so if someone knows the gospel message and yet the are continually living in pre-meditated sin and then claiming in the name of grace that everything is ok then they are deceived. let me give you an example of what I mean, when someone is confronted with the biblical gospel and then they feel convicted of the sins they are commiting then if they believe the message they will turn from doing those things and believe in Jesus as the only way of salvation, the gospel message is basically this, turn away from your sins and believe in who Jesus says he is, what he did for us, and what he tells us to do in his word and also what the word of God (the bible) tells us. if a person isn't doing that then they were never converted in the beginning and are going to hell for their sins.
      I agree completely that a christian isn't perfect and will still desire things but it also says in the bible that we should kill those deeds of the flesh in us, for example before I came to christ I had no problem looking at a woman with lust , women on the street I would look at with lust but now since in his word I know he doesn't want me to do things like that by my faith in him I turned away from doing that now when I see an attractive woman on the street I can see she looks attractive but I don't dwell my thoughts on her or think unrightoues thoughts on her I turn away from that and fight it. Before when someone would insult me I would insult back but Jesus says to love our enemies and turn the other cheek so now when i'm insulted I calmly tell the person to stop it rather than insult back or I just ignore them but I forgive them for insulting me and in my personaly time I will try to pray for them because Jesus said so

      God doesn't look at you and go, yeah I'm gonna save this guy cause he's preaching works to people...that's not gonna happen...you don't know what repenting means, a person is saved by Christ himself and his finished work PERIOD...nothing more and nothing less....you're not saved by going to church, living some religious life, telling people they better not sin etc....that's all nonsense....religious hates the faith of God's Elect, God's elect always places the crown on Christ head...all this baloney from you about "lisence to sin" or "practicing sin" is all garbage religious terminology that has nothing to do with Christ and the free gift.

I do not sin all I want I fight the sin in me because that is part of the saved lifestyle, also I never thought I was a good person if i was a good person in the eyes of God i wouldn't need the righteousness of Christ. also repentance isn't simply changing your mind about Christ it is also turning away from your sinful lifestyle in other words changing your conduct. It is true that none are righteous not one of us that is why we turn to the Gospel message which is repent (turn from your sins and believe the Gospel)
      People like you don't even know how salvation works, salvation is a free gift because Jesus by fulfilling the perfect law/standard that God the father demands from us HE earned salvation for us because of his life, death, burial and Resurrection so because of that we now don't have to be "perfect" to go to heaven we don't have to try to earn our own heaven becasue the fact is because of our sin no one ever can go heaven on their own But in order for you to even recieve the free gift of salvation you have to come by repentence (turning from sin) and faith in the lord Jesus Christ

      It's not true. It's an analogy to help viewers better understand.

      It's a B.S. Analogy then. How does a lie help you understand the truth of his point?

    • @TheSystemBrick
      @TheSystemBrick Před 7 lety +1

      Analogies are not lies, they are stories, and are not meant to be true or interpreted to be true. They, as I said, are merely created and told, much like a parable, to "simplify" an explanation of something much greater and possibly complex.

      Whatever you say I guess. Do you know what else is just stories and not meant to be true or interpreted to be true and or merely created and told much like a parable? The bible. Why don't people use critical thinking when interpreting religious texts? I'm skeptical of almost everything until I'm convinced otherwise.

      heymonwazup Well, you are wise to be a skeptic. Not all people are smart like that. A quote springs to mind that almost seems related to this conversation: "If you hold a belief strong enough, your mind will forcibly reject any conflicting evidence so as to preserve your understanding of the world." I'm not trying to change your mind or view on anything, but I thought that quote may interest you. In some aspects though, it is true, especially with most religions and ideologies. Weird, huh, that our brains attempt to "protect" us like that? Also, I am impressed this has been a civil conversation so far. Many "debates" on CZcams normally turn into a battle of who is better when speaking on this topic.

    Ray Comfort is a lost pharisee. He defends the Russian guard example at 14:00 yet he condemns the guy who attacked the pastor later at 21:00. What if Ray's family was held at gunpoint by a bunch of self righteous mean spirited "christians"? What kind of damage would that do to children?! Did Paul or Jesus do any such thing? Absolutely disgusting. Comfort talks out both sides of his face. Where are the fruits of the spirit in the first example? It seems to me that Ray hates anyone who does not measure up to "his" standards. Salvation is a FREE GIFT. Ray thinks he can keep the law, but Jesus FULFILLED the law for us. Ray demonstrates the sin of unbelief. His false gospel will be realized soon when what happened to Jesus' followers after his death will happen again demonstrated by FALSE CONVERTS "These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended.
    2 They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me." Ray does not understand salvation or the gospel and is leading many to hell.
    GALATIANS 5 4
    Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. 2Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. 3For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. 4Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. 5For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. 6For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. 7Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?
    ROMANS 3 27
    Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; 26To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. 27Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. 28Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. 29Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also: 30Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
    GALATIANS 2 16
    Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. 17But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid. 18For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. 19For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.
    GALATIANS 3 10
    Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. 8And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. 9So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. 10For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. 11But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. 12And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them. 13Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
    1 CORINTHIANS 15
    Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
    2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
    3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
    4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
    ROMANS 7
    For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
    15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
    16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
    17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
    18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
    19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
    20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
    21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
    22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
    23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
    24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
    25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
    ROMANS 8 39
    As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

      chad meidl “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?”
      ‭‭James‬ ‭2:17-20‬
      “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”

    I hope Ray you do realise that the Bible was not written in English. In fact it was written in a number of different languages, some of them are not spoken any more. I hope you are aware of the fact that you have never read the real Bible
    you have been reading from a book like the Bible. So please read the Bible in it's original form first, and stop spreading your poison.

      Thank you for the answer, do sincerely hope you are not trying to be smart ” google ?”! Even if I would agree, what I don't, the original scripts were not written in the now spoken languages you are revering to, language lives and changes and what we think now could have had a totally different meaning in the Past. But have you ever asked yourself if the Bible is God inspired why are there so many people giving there 6 cents of what they believe, the Koran is doing better there , and why are there no women involved they are surely more competent in the matter of faith? But let me leave with one last thought if we are of God's design why would he want us to use a many hundred year old manual to believe in him, he is omnipotent he should know we are now seeing more of him knowing more of him and remember “google” answers over answers people of faith do not want to know .

      Please ask yourself these simple questions : would you believe in God if there weren't any so called holy books? And secondly : do you believe in God or do you believe in the Bible? If your answer is : I can not believe in God without the Bible or you can not believe in the Bible without God well sorry you are lost.
      If you really believe what you have written, sorry but I have to stop right hear this is not leading to any sensible discussions, you are obviously so deep into a state of faith nothing is going to help you understand how wrong you are. You do not know what God is you are lost in a fairytale.

      Gods holy word? What makes it holy? The bible is nonsense and in no way Gods word, God does not speak in words and God is not going to let any fool write anything in Gods name. God is creation, God is knowledge, God is evolution God is bigger than any ignorant bible sucker can imagine because the bible makes God look like a man made illusion. No I do not believe in the bible the bible is not Gods holy word and you know it!

The poison of faith is lethal it has taken the lives of so many men women and children and that in the name of a God from a manual of lies. Ray and his kind are false prophets they go for the small sinners as they are easy pray and easy pay the big sinners are chosen friends was it not Jesus that opposed high priests, Pharisees and Scribes?
