    Thank you Drew. Great video. I am going to be able to apply it to a X32 Compact that the band currently purchased. Since we don't have a stage box, it will allow me to route the Aux Inputs to the Band 17-24, keeping the Aux's closer to the other banks. Current layout is 1-3 Vocals, 4-8 empty; 9-16 Drums; Aux1-Aux5 Guitars, Keyboard and Bass. Thank you again.

    Drew thanks so much for all your videos. I have learned a lot, helping me to understand better my new Behringer X32 producer.
    If you have time in the future, please talk about working with a couples of SD-16 or SD-8 on stage. I have questions on how to do the routing in two different stage boxes, how to know from
    Which one from those two I have to connect to Main L/R for FOH speakers. And also how to do multitrack recording in Logic using two boxes plus a couples of wireless mics connected locally to the mixer.
    I know it’s a lot of questions but if you can talk of any of these topics would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks so much!

    Thanks, Drew, for the great videos!
    Question for you, or for anyone who has experienced this situation and solved it. I have recently worked in a theater with an odd sound setup. The wireless mic receivers and amplifiers were all located at the FOH mix position, connected to an X32. There is an S32 snake connecting the orchestra pit and some XLR stage mics. All good so far. Now I needed to send a monitor signal to the stage, which doesn't have installed monitors, so I added my own. Problem was, with the main L&R outputs of the X32 going analog to the amps beside it, I could not configure the X32 to send a monitor-only signal to the stage, via the S32. I tried every routing possibility that I could think of, to no avail. Without time on my side, I ended up doing it quick and dirty, by running analog XLR lines down the venue to feed the monitors.
    Surely there is a way around this, so if you would, please advise me. I'm very used to configuring the X32, but this setup proved to be unusual.

    I use an X32 Rack onstage that houses my first 16 preamps, including those for wireless and this console acts as the monitor console (Band runs IEMs, though this would be just as relevant with wedges), this rack houses my Bluetooth unit on one of the Aux ins that I use for program music. This ends up being reflected in my AES50 sends to FOH (an X32 or M32 usually). So I send my Aux Ins on AES50A 33-40, using the User routing I can remap the Aux Ins on the FOH board to come from the stage, thus running my program music from the rack onstage. On top of this, I can also use the User Output routing to run Mains and Subs back through the outputs on the X32 Rack, of course if more I/O is required, then a stage box could be run from said X32 Rack and audio would be routed accordingly to both consoles.

      Drew seems to have narrow focus on his use case instead of taking a step back and thinking of others. He also doesn't show easier ways of doing the same thing, like only using user block for the one block that is unique. He fails to discuss record vs play in both these videos and rhythm gotchas. Like routing to outputs/inputs and explaining it in a way that makes it easy to remember. Drew is excellent and works hard but could do better.

    Drew this was a big help. I have an x32 FOH when the venue has space for it. An x32 rack (used for monitor world when needed and full FOH and Monitor world when full x32 is not present) and 16 chan snake. I want to route all channels in the x32 rack and snake. How should I set the user routing on the full x32 seeing that I'll only be using the aes50 port A on the full x32? It would also be fun to see you set up a similar system that allows the user to use the rack and snake as a fully stand-alone unit w/IPad or monitor world.

Instead of using aux in remapping to get backing tracks to my aux ins can I utilize the user input routing to place them under card on the aux ins so that they aren't coming in on 1-6.. cuz I noticed I am trying to record my show and send it to a pa and the recording glitches.. I'm guessing cuz I'm trying to record local 1-4 and aux in (remapped to card 1-4)

    Drew I am a x32 rack user and I am having major issues. So what I have is the x32 rack running with the Dante card and the SD16 Stage box. My delima is that I want to mutitrack and stream my church service live. I have my multitrack system on one side of the sancuary with a dVS license and on my main Vmix machine I have another DVS license. I have everything routed but when I go to the routing I get lost. I am using inputs 1-16 on the rack and 1-16 inputs on the stage box AES50. I am using 4 outputs on the stagebox for IEMS and for my outputs on the x32 im using outputs 3 for stage monitors and output 4 for a subwoofer on the rack. I am using Busmix 1and 2 for my livestream into Vmix but, when I try to multitrack with my laptop I get all of my channels coming in weather I want to here just 1 mic it comes over all channels. What am I doing wrong? I guess I am getting confussed about the outputs and inputs.

    I admit that I don't have yet the mixer at hand so I can not verify by myself.
    Problem:
    I'm undecided whether to buy x32 or x32 compact (with Midas DL 32 stage box).
    I ask #1: with x32 (no compact) the eight Output Faders can be configured as Input Faders, to have 24 input faders in one layer.? It would be useful for live.
    if this is not possible, then I might as well buy the compact which, by pushing at the same time the green keys 1-8 and 9-16, transforms the eight output faders into input faders. At least I have 16 input faders at hand, like "x32 no compact".

    Thanks for the videos! I have a question: I want to run multiple keyboards into my X32 board. All my vocals are coming out my Main outputs(1&2) to my powered Yamaha mixing board PA. For rehearsal only, I don't want my Keyboards going out the main outputs. I want thme going out to my other PA (YamahaEMX Powered Mixer) to use as a separate amp. If I routed them to Main Outs 3&4 and run those leads to the EMX , would that work? Will I still be able to send every channel to my Mac Studio Pro to record the rehearsal sessions, as well? Forgive me if this is a stupid question. I'm just a piano player, not sound engineer.

      Hit "Select" on the BUSS feeding the particular monitor you want effects in, hit "Sends on fader", go to LEFT side of console and select the "AUX in/USB/FX Returns" tab, you will see the master effects return faders at zero. Bring up whichever effect you want into the buss/monitor mix. It's the same at that point as adding any channel to the monitor. All the master effects returns are already set to unity to feed the main left right, but they have to be added to buss' 1 through 14. --(or 1 through 6 if you have the smaller boards). Hope that helps👍

    • @66fitton
      @66fitton Před rokem

      Oh, you have to make sure that the actual channel you want the effect on is going TO the effect first. As long as you can hear the effect in front house, what I wrote down here will work. If you can't hear it in front house, you may not have the channel going to the effect. And, it's a pain to turn it off and on in between songs. FOH engineer already has to remember to mute effects to FOH between songs. So it generally stays on if you ask for it in your monitor.

    In my x32, we have channels one to 16 for instruments, all plugged into the s32 digital box. Channels 17-26 are for microphones because we have a huge group of singer and that includes pastors Mic and invited preachers who have 1 mic universal for them. We routed the instruments to AES50 which works fine, then the vocals were left in their normal routing, because the microphone box has 8 microphones. We didn’t buy different boxes, just that one. Audio comes out so there’s no problem, however. When selecting a channel, using the fader either the one for each channel or the main L/R. Nothing changes, it doesn’t affect the channels. How can that be fixed if I did something wrong.!

    • @jeremiahjackson3248

      Make sure to set your LR source to post fader in the output routing. (Routing -> Analogue Out -> scroll down to your main L& R outputs (these are set to 15 & 16 by default if you haven’t changed them) & make sure “Post Fader” is selected on both the LR under the “Tap” tab) hope this helps!

    Im having trouble on the routing part when it comes to re recording a track becauae when i switch 1-8 channels over to local inputs i am not able to hear tracks on channels 2-8 for example if im re recording a vocal on channel 1 for example. Any suggestions or tips on how i can get this to work? If i leave the local channels 1-8 on card i can then hear all the 8 tracks but when im trying to re record my vocal on ch 1 there is latency and obviously can not re record a vocal when there is latency. The only way i can hear my vocal normally with no latency is when i switch the routing inputs 1-8 back to local inputs if that makes sense. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks in advance.

    • @66fitton
      @66fitton Před rokem

      SELECT a buss or "group" that you want it on, and hit "Sends on Fader". Select the tab with the "Aux in's" on the left side of the mixer and raise the appropriate aux fader. It will send the Aux return to that buss. It can be a monitor buss to hear through monitors, a group buss with vocals only, or an empty buss that only contains the effect return and you send it to the left right main out. Mix it in to the main mix when you want it. Btw, don't blame you for wanting to use the Lexicon over the stuff inside lol. Cheers

    Just a quick question instead of ticking the 28 one by one could you have went to the input page and chose 1-24 aes50 channels and then went to the user input page to finish the remainder 25-28 aes50 inputs and the Local inputs that you were routing to 29-32?
