- We go on a epic hardtail mountain bike ride in central Indiana with my friends, Damien, Ryan and the Poynter brothers. We ride three Midwestern MTB trail systems in one day. I push through the pain and move fast and hard through all of them on my new Marin San Quentin hardtail.

I like the new bike but I'm glad that the Ragley is staying, A Ragley is for life.
I'm glad its staying too. That Ragley is sentimental to me. I passed it down to my son since he outgrew his bike.

LOL. I loved this video. So fun to watch the shenanigans and hijinks with good friends and hear the laughter. Plus your special soundeffects during the rides and constant complaining (JK) was hilarious. Whoa!! Was that a Rico egg? Top of the berm to ya sir! How did the bubblegum tires roll and feel on the jumps? That looks like some great riding..... Great job introducing Ryan to an epic day on the trails.
I figured you'd enjoy this one so I stamped it with the Rico Seal of Approval in advance! 😃 It was a great day of riding despite my whining haha. The tires were tough but not the fastest rolling. Very similar to Maxxis DHR2's. Will eventually switch to something faster for Palos and the local stuff.
Oh man, I'm going to have to hit one or two of those trail systems on my way to Brown County!
Southwestway and Rangeline were my favorites out of the 3.

How do you like the San Quentin as compared to the Marley? I’m on an 8-year-old geo Chameleon and both of those are in my top 3 contenders for a replacement.
I'm loving both. They're slightly different. The SQ has a lower stack and the way I have it setup it's very manueverable and poppy. Think slack dirt jumper. The Marley has a taller stack and feels more confident on steep downhills. Both frames are supple and stiff in the right places. The differences are subtle and both are excellent. Keep in mind that the 2023 San Quentin will have an updated geo. It will have a taller stack height and longer reach. If the 2022 San Quentin is your style, get one while they're still available. I'm not aware of any changes to the Marley for 2023 at this point in time.
@@AdrenalineIsLife Thanks for the detailed reply. I read about the geo updates for the 2023 San Quentin. It I go the SQ route, I’ll get the 2023. The SQ 2 and 3 should drop next month, according to Marin. Having a longer torso and shorter legs, the updated SQ seems a good option. I was just curious about an opinion from someone who’s put time in on both, since I can’t exactly demo the Ragley. Thanks.
