How do you get speed density in the 2jzge na t setup I'm doing in a 94 gs300 I know it uses map sensor 3bar and IAT but where do I get the signal from I think stock comes from mass airflow but not using that better tuneabilty in speed density

Tell your friend to just go ahead and do his crank and cam wires.... I have AEM V2 on my 1.5J and had to rewire both to include my knock sensors.

      U mean rewire them? Explain

@@TravisPavlik AEM seems to be picky to EMI pick up from Toyota harnesses (Toyota didn't do a great job shielded these). My 1J harness didn't have much for shielding and I would have timing and sync errors that would cause the car to run poorly. In an effort to get past this I purchased proper braided / twist shielded wires with brand new pins and made up patch harnesses to keep them out of the main harness. Once I had everything made up I pulled back some of the shielding and soldered a section of wire to that and grounded it (You only ground 1 side of the wire). This allows the shielding to hopefully absorb any EMI and ground it to the chassis, I did the same for my knock sensors. Once this was done we could actually get the ignition sync set and remove the timing errors, there are a few settings that will help with this.... but you want to make sure you address the issue first. I don't want to take away from this channel by posting all of this info or anything, so I'll do a shameless plug for the channel owner and point out that he has a video on this that he made a while back. I don't recall exactly how he grounded his shielded wire however.

@@RhoadsChristopher please share the video. I will never be upset about someone sharing good info through my platform.
I had a similar issue with my timing system as well and also rewired the cam and crank sensor in a seperate shielded cable, also grounded on one end. Literally same exact thing you did. My car was down for months because of that issue. My tuner recently reached out to me and told me that aem has released an update that supposedly gets rid of the issue. I would email them your serial number and see if the update applies to you. I'll be going in for an update and a new tune soon.

@@RhoadsChristopher I grounded my shield by rolling it up into a wire at the aem side and attached it a pigtail ground coming out of the aem.
